I went for my G test yesterday in London ON and passed it. One thing my examiner pointed out was early signaling. He said that u hav to wait for the instruction to turn the signal on otherwise u get marked. I did not know that, so thought I should share for others to benefit from it..
When examiner ask to change lane and turn left to go back to center but it's heavy traffic so we can not change lane and missed left turn. In such case, will it be considered failure of test??
No! Just communicate to examiner that due to heavy traffic, it's not safe to change lane at that particular juncture and you would be taking next left/exit. It happened with me today and examiner was kind enough to take into account the traffic situation.
Ive had this question for G-test...especially on the highway...on the 401, although the posted speed limit is 100kmph, most drivers go at almost 120 kmph most times even in the rightmost lane, in that case, say you were to merge onto the 401 and: 1) the car behind you and the car that just went past you, were going at 120, then do you also go at 120 or their speed ? so as to not block traffic? or do you still merge and drive at 100kmph? 2) say you merged onto the 401 and you left merged onto another lane (as the examiner instructed you to) and on that lane, cars behind you and after you were going at more than 120 kmph, do you match up to their speed? or go at 100 kmph? 3) say you drive at the posted max speed limit (100 kmph), and the car behind honks at you, do you get points deducted/ fail?
from my instructor that I understood is no more than 30 minor mistakes.. it may seems a lot but it can add up very very fast.. major mistakes will count as dangerous driving and will result to immediate fail attempt
Hi, can u pls confirm that in parallel parking is back up camera allowed? and also safety blind spot u need to turn off during the test? all new cars have these features , i booked in kitchener G road test in morning Saturday can u pls give some tips.
Back up cameras are not allowed. Anything mechanical wise that’ll help you is not allowed. They tell you to either turn them off or don’t use them at the start.

30 mistakes allowed is actually quite generous
Look for G marksheet online. There is around ~110 marks in total.
Not really. There are some things that will be an automatic fail

Yes

Of course not, it is testing you, not your car.
Depends on examiner some don’t care
