thanks for the video! i passed first try doing this route. please make yourself familiar with the second route that goes eastward on the 401. also, note that they have modified it to have no parking or 3-point-turns in the city portion. my examiner guided me through a neighbourhood (along jalna blvd) just expecting me to do stop signs! this makes it take about 20 minutes. just so everyone knows as of october 2024 it’s still modified but i believe it is expected to remain in place indefinitely? hope this helps!
Thank you Evgeniy! I studied this video carefully to prepare for my G test at the London Drive Test Centre and yesterday I passed on my first try. Even though I didn't end up doing this route, the details of merging and exiting the highway still helped me. To anyone else about to take the test, note that there are two possible routes at the time I'm writing this. One is to enter onto 401 west like shown in this video, and the other is to enter the highway 401 east instead (you can see the sign for it at 12:27). My driving instructor informed me that the 401 west route is done about 80% of the time, while the 401 east route is done the remaining 20% of the time.
Thanks for the video! Just passed my G today, same route that you showed. With the modified test it was a left from Exeter to Chalkstone Dr, right onto Jalna Blvd, Right onto Meg Dr, and then left back onto exeter. No parking or stops, just driving. Was honestly pretty easy but I think it was because I got a very nice examiner, we just had a good conversation while I drove like normal and thats it. No mistakes. No need to be nervous, just stay calm and drive 👍
Congratulations!!! Can I please know if the speed limit in the Wonderland rd, when entering from Highway, has been changed to 50Kmph recently? I'm gonna take the Road test pretty soon here and confused what speed limit to be followed as usually it's 80Kmph. Kindly let me know if you know about this. Thanks in advance!
@@extraction120 So when you're exiting highway 402 and going onto Wonderland the recommended speed on the exit ramp is 50kmh (pretty sure I did around 55). Wonderland is still 80kmh. So you slow down on the turn off the highway but speed up to 80kmh when merging on wonderland. I would really recommend that you practice the route many times before you do the test, just so you become familiar/comfortable with it. Good luck!
@@luigiman121100 Thanks a lot! Yah, I've been practicing over a week now and today, my Instructor said that the speed on the Wonderland rd also has been changed to 50Kmph. I think he must have mixed up the speed on the exit ramp then. Thanks again for the reply!!!
I was on the same road practicing yesterday there is a confusing board which says 50kmph but that's for people to follow inside the city. Its just an advance warning for them. Wonderland Road stays 80kmph and you will see it changing to 70kmph when you are about to turn into Exetor Road. So yeah, dont get confused by that board. Its 80 and you have to merge into Wonderland Road with 80kmph speed.

The highway still the same but the city driving I did it in Exeter, then I turn left at Chalkston dr, turn right at Jalna Blvd, go straight and go back to Exeter. But pretty much everything is the same. Thanks for the video, the tips are really helpful.

This is not the only route people, I did my g test yesterday November 27, 2023 and pass, they took me to 401 west towards Toronto , try to learn that route as well . There is going to be a highbury exit that’s where you will come off and then hop on another highway and then be taken back through the white oaks community for the stop zones and then exit out on Exeter back to the driving center. Good luck 🤞

Well explained. Just an update at 31:23 as there is a left arrow signal, you are not supposed to turn right on red. Few examiners failed the students as there is an immediate merge to the highway it’s not considered safe. Thank you for the great video
I got insta failed for this exact same thing. Made a right on wellington going west on exeter. I stopped at red behind line and waited. opposing traffic had advanced left turn and I made the turn right. Actually got yelled at for this and was told I could have been hit. According to the MOT this is a legal turn but is considered a dangerous action. Lesson learned. Be patient, wait that extra second and go on green or on red only if its clear and/or if opposing traffic does not have advanced green.
Thank you for this video! Took this exact route (my second try, sadly), and passed. Your helpful tips definitely helped! Thanks again for making this video:)
