Thanks bro. Yeah, every so often I like to bust out the lazy Susan for a transformers review. Would you believe that transformers reviews are the only thing it’s ever been used for?
Interesting ! My bumble jumper has an autobot symbol on top and a different sticker on the rear ! I guess they made a few different variations- great vid.
Hi Jay. Thanks for the compliment. That’s very interesting. Does the sticker on the rear look like what’s on Bumblebee, Cliffjumper or Hubcap or is it something entirely different?
Thanks for checking out the review and for your feedback. I really appreciate you watching so much of my content today. I have many more reviews planned for the channel, so feel free to subscribe if you don’t want to miss anything. Cheers.
nice showing of these guys buddy. I need to build up my set of minibots. hope to randomly find one thrifting. nobody better lay a finger on my butterfinger, lol!!
Thanks Ninjabill. I’m really glad you enjoyed it. I still need to watch your Rodimus Unicronus review. I’ve been saving it until I can give it my undivided attention. Cheers M
Thanks man. I know there is some confusion about these figures and how different and in some cases alike they actually are. I’m glad to hear that people are enjoying the approach that I took with this review. I think that showing relevant comparisons with other figures makes videos more interesting however it adds length to the videos which can turn off a lot of potential viewers given that, at the end of the day, it’s just a minibot. Thanks for stopping by and for commenting. Cheers M
Best reviewer ever . for someone that not only speaks and knows a lot but you also play the part M . not only do I watch his videos but I'm also a close friend . right on to another amazing review and your right its not worth buying for that price but it is a great piece to have and yes I have a pre g1 bumblejumper also 😛👊👍
Hey brother. I always appreciate your kind words. You’ve been there since the old days and that really means a lot to me. I really like Bumblejumper in both modes (not really his face though) but at the current price, I just can recommend the figure to fans that are anything but hardcore collectors. Can I ask what you paid for yours? Cheers M
Awesome review! I actually tried to do an arm swap with a bumper and a bumble bee once, and they were slightly different. If I remember right the difference was the shape of the middle of the arm on the outside. Like below where the door would be when in car mode. Still killer review, I learned allot. Just happened to have already tried an arm swap. Thanks for the review!
Hi Matt. Thanks for checking out my review and for your awesome feedback on it. I really appreciate it. That arm swap you did sounds really interesting. I’ve done one custom figure in the past (using paint) before but never a rebuild like what you did. I have a G1 transformers playlist if you’re interested in checking out any of my other vintage reviews. Anyways, I have lots more G1 reviews coming in 2019. Feel free to subscribe to my channel if you like. Either way, have a great night and thanks for stopping by my channel. Cheers.
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER FANTASTIC VIDEO REVIEW TRANSFORMERS AND VIDEO GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I wonder if Bumper will ever become an official Transformers character. :) Once again, thank you for being amazing, your videos are always enjoyable. :D
Thanks bro. I could imagine it becoming an official transformers character at some point. Maybe as a slight retool of Bumblebee. Hasbro is always looking for characters to repaint and remould existing characters into. I appreciate your support.
I love it when you into those little details and comparisons, you touch into stuff I didn’t knew or have completely forgotten 😕 I hope you don’t mind if I bother you at some point to ask advice when I come a cross a piece I might have doubts about. Have you seen the Toy Hunter? He showed a gold Bumble Jumper that turned out to be a prototype, it was cool. Great video as always! Keep them coming 👍🏽✌🏽
Thanks brother. I’m glad that people are enjoying what I’m doing. I don’t mind at all if you ever want to reach out to me with a question or advice regarding something you come across. My knowledge of vintage figures is better than my knowledge of modern figures. I think I’ve seen Toy Hunter on TH-cam but it’s been a few years. It’s a guy who hunts down collectibles for clients on his who purchase them from him, right? Cheers M
Cool! I never knew or realized "penny racers" was a literal term!!!!! Never seen them before! And i was born in 86'! In a quick estimate, what are those 4 figures worth?! I feel like they are hard to come by. And by the way M, i figured we would see your face for once since your inside!!!! And why you throwing your collection around lol. Nice video man. Great looking collection room too! Really like the set up and nice glass case!
A really quick estimate of those 4 figures would be around $225. The figure that I refer to as Bumblejumper is pretty uncommon and commands a lot of money these day. The cheapest of the 4 would be G1 Hubcap since no one really cares about the character. Thanks for your kind words about my collection room. I think the glass doors on the shelves really add an element of “class” to the display...for lack of a better term. I wanted it to look like a Transformers museum. Hey Justin...I should have asked you this the other day but do you mind if I ask how you first found my channel? Were you searching for something specific and then one of my videos popped up or did one of my videos show up in the videos that TH-cam recommends to you?
Was not leftover stock.. the stamp isn't a Takara circle stamp.. it was probably just a factory mistake.. then hasbro figured they had to get rid of them
Hi M, another great video and your knowledge of this subject never fails to surprise me. Ever since I began watching you I have been meaning to ask if you could help me with something. When I was a kid I had a silver Porsche that was mainly metal. Now I can't remember whether it was a Transformer or a Gobot because I am really struggling with my memory here! But I do know that I really loved it. I do know that it was roughly the same size as say G1 Prime in length and I realise that's a bit vague. I would like to see the figure again so if you have any idea what the hell I'm talking about then please let me know. Thanks for a great and informative video.
Hi Matt. I really appreciate your kind words. This Bumblejumper review was plagued with technical issues so I had to reshoot parts and spend a lot of extra time editing it. The one thing that comes to mind based on your description is Super Gobots “Baron Von Joy”...yes, that’s really his name. It’s not a figure that I have in my collection right now but let me know if that’s the figure that you’re referring to. Cheers M
Well that's that mystery solved! I put the name into TH-cam and he popped up on various videos. I would never have found it based on the name. I am now Over "Baron Von Joyed" that you knew what I was talking about. Thanks my friend Sherlock Prime!!!
My pleasure. I’m glad I could help you solve the mystery. I really don’t know how they came up with those odd names for the GoBots. I think that with better names and a better cartoon they would have been a lot more marketable to kids in the 80’s. Cheers M
Great review, sir. Fascinating piece. I’ve wanted a bumblejumper for as long as I knew they existed! I have to ask though weren’t yellow Cliffjumpers 1984 only? You’ve got a rub symbol on yours...so maybe I don’t know as much as I thought I did.
Hi Mike. I’m glad you enjoyed the review. My yellow G1 Cliffjumper actually says 1984 so perhaps they were using up old stock when the applied rub symbols in 1985. Much like they used old stock when they sold the G1 Bumblejumpers on Bumblebee and Cliffjumper cardbacks. Just a guess though. Cheers M
Hi Thunderwing88. Wow, what great luck to find a Bumblejumper in the wild in good condition. It’s sounds like you got it for a great price as well. Cheers M
I don’t have a Bumblejumper, but it always did interest me just due to the history of him being on either or card back. I don’t feel the need to own him at this point so unless a stumble on a great deal most likely will never see him in person. There was one episode of Toy Hunter and he found a lose BumbleJumper in someone’s attic and said it was worth 200$ . This was years ago too when the show was on. Im guessing he was inflating the price. Well very nice review showing the evolution of the mold. 👍 Have a good one M👍
I totally agree with you. Unless you find a great deal, there’s absolutely no reason to spend the money on this particular minibot. It’s pretty cool but just not worth the asking price. I think I might have seen that episode of the toy hunter but I think he’s price of $200 was inflated for television. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers M
Transformers and Video Games For me if I truly wanted him in my collection, I would have to wait until I found a sealed on card one. I know it would be big bucks, but feel it would be worth it. 👍
Transformers and Video Games ah interesting that they have KO ones of him. Yeah if I were to buy carded which I’m not 😀, I would need to do a lot of research before putting down a bunch of cash for a figure like that. 👍
Agreed. You absolutely would been to do your homework before pulling the trigger on something like that. I always enjoy our exchanges on TH-cam, brother. Thanks for your ongoing support as well. Your one of the few people who watch and comment on everything. Cheers M
Came in a lot of pre g1 transformers and I replaced the do It for 25$ shipped with if one . ill share him later on ig . I paint for over 20 tfs $125 all pre g1
I have a Walmart reissue bumblebee with my childhood bumblebee. I used to have the red bumblebee but it disappeared when I was little. I also have the yellow cliffjumper. But I need to get a red cliffjumper. I herd rumors that the yellow cliffjumper is called bumblejumper. I wonder if that is true?
Hi Andrew. That’s so cool that you still have your Bumblebee from back in the day and have displayed it with the Walmart reissue. Cliffjumper is a little Porsche in both the red and yellow variants whereas Bumblejumper is actually a little Mazda. Bumblejumper has a different front end, back end and even a different face, although the transformation is the same. At glance it can easily be confused with Bumblebee or Cliffjumper but it’s actually a different mould altogether. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks again, Andrew. I really appreciate that. I generally do garage sale hunting videos in the summer but plan to get back into my Transformers reviews in the off-season. I actually found some G1 Transformers and Robotech figures at garage sales this summer. I got some great deals.
@@TransformersAndVideoGames I usually find some old transformers and gobots at flea markets and church rummage sales. I buy them and restore them. I found an Optimus Prime at a rummage sale, complete and now I'm doing a restoration on it.
For whatever reason, GoBots are still under appreciated by collectors. You should consider starting a TH-cam channel and showing everyone how you restore your vintage figures. You could also review them and show how your collection evolves over time.
Thank you for checking out the review. Yes, there was a red Cliffjumper and there was actually a red Bumblebee. I think they were just trying to maximize the use of the mould. They weren’t factory errors or KO figures or anything. I don’t think Hasbro ever imagined that we would be collecting these little treasures over 35 years later. I have a playlist with other G1 figures if you’re interested. Thanks for commenting.
This is a great comparison. The use of the lazy Susan was a perfect choice. It's cool learning new stuff about these early TF toys.
Thanks bro. Yeah, every so often I like to bust out the lazy Susan for a transformers review. Would you believe that transformers reviews are the only thing it’s ever been used for?
That's just lazy.
LOL
I really like how nice and simple this channel is

Interesting ! My bumble jumper has an autobot symbol on top and a different sticker on the rear ! I guess they made a few different variations- great vid.
Hi Jay. Thanks for the compliment. That’s very interesting. Does the sticker on the rear look like what’s on Bumblebee, Cliffjumper or Hubcap or is it something entirely different?
hi. no, its a unique sticker - here is a link i found with a photo... www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/transformers-g1-bumble-jumper-aka-427815484
Thanks for sharing the photo. Interesting, I’ve never seen one that looks like that before.
Transformers and Video Games this was NEVER meant to be released as a transformer.
Hi Stephanie. Thanks for checking out my video. You really know your stuff. Are you a big G1 or pre-transformers collector?
This was definitely a real in-depth thorough technical review, no doubt...💯✔
