If the attire is addressed as army uniform, what if there are servicemen in the nearby areas? Wouldn't there be a confusion..
There is difference in the army uniform colour.

They're the anti swarming team of the Police Tactical Unit. As the name suggests, anti swarming teams. Hostage rescue if I'm not wrong the STAR team will handle it mainly

I believe the anti-swarming unit is only meant to prevent a consolidation of the threats’ defenses. Preventing the threat from forming a proper defense by negating their time to prepare for another assault.
From what I can observe from their exercises, the initial police responders only storm the entrance in order to secure a passageway for the followup. The next team will likely be the RDT, another assault unit, to support and augment the first responders before the STAR do arrive. The PTU for “recce”, then the STAR will then followup with an assault.
Secure, prevent, probe, then disperse.
Just my observation from their several exercises. Might be wrong.

Whoever say they action only or whoever say they have no real capability , please go and see the SIA hijack incident in the past , go and see how swift the commando team took out the hijackers .

+Marcus Seth (Biobob16) well, they arent really commandos. It's the SOF that entered the plane and eliminated the hijackers, and after that they hand it to the Commandos

Training cost a lot of money, as a matter of fact we are the tax payer.
Training is necessary to maintain our police forces. Would you rather not pay taxes and let terrorists kill our people in the MRT?

The way they infiltrated the station with no stealth and was spotted even before they arrived at the entry point.. .. the hostages would have been shot dead... and possibly the suicide bomber would have detonated the explosives.. looks more like a war Zone... well done..

How you expect them to go stealth in an underground MRT station? This is not a game, very rarely are special forces able to maintain complete stealth in many operations.
