    I have chills....and a few tears. What an amazing voice! We'll never get to hear anything this special again. At least I hear him in my dreams...miss you Brad.

      Exactly. Goosebumps, then weeping. I miss him so. I’ve spent the afternoon listening to vocals only tracks. And to think he does all the harmonies.

      He recorded his voice multiple times and overlayed them... it is pretty cool to be honest, but also he had a pure voice

    Any way you can do some with the background harmonies in as well?

  • @phnxcmx
    @phnxcmx 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    No. Isolated vocals from the studio track. All the vocals were performed and overdubbed by Delp. You can't do that live. Wrong but good guess.

    Simply Amazing R.I.P. Brad Delp!

  • @kwmrz
    @kwmrz 12 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Did you know... Tom scholz used two MCI 24 track machines to record the first album. This was before SIMPTE time code, so he synced the two machines by hand, rubbing the big two inch reel of tape with an eraser to slow one down to match the other. Also, used as the effect known as "flanging."

    • @dgrundman7499
      @dgrundman7499 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m dying to know, what type of effect did him doing this create? Is it how Brads vocals sound so wide & huge, doubles (not talking about the backup vx, I’m referring to the lead vocals).

    these are from a game (rock star)that had fake audience inserted
    these are the real deal vocal tracks created from the masters by sony for licensing for the rock star game. from the 1976 self titled debut album by Boston.

    The vocals are taken from the game Rock Band. the crowd noise is more than likely the game's "crowd".

    Rock star. If this is live then there was 6 Brad Delps at the show. All the harmonies and double tracking are being sung by Brad Delp, how can he do that without over dubbing?

    • @terrybarrett884
      @terrybarrett884 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is the studio version stripped down. There are overdubs and doubling, but it is all his voice! No autotune!

  • @macdaddybill
    @macdaddybill 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you listen closely in the front of these songs you can hear the crowd from a live concert. thse are the isolated vocals taken from the sound board I am guessing. Bootleg but very good quality.

    These videos just show how amazingly close Tommy DeCarlo is to Brad!

  • @rephaimog4186
    @rephaimog4186 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What is scary about this is that he probably could do this in 75-76 with no problem. Hell, who can sing Communication Breakdown by Led Zepplin which Brad did and killed it according to Barry Goudreau. Just totally Rock Star vocals.
