@@twitchywitchx it looks cool but imo I've seen ambitious shit like this. Life hits before your able to complete the game then unfortunately, all news on this game stops. When I saw ness in that mimic battle screen I knew this game was too early to be announced. It looks like more of an animation than a game yfm? I also hope it's not a bunch of 16 or 18 year old kids who just put a bunch of stress on themselves by making it the final announcement. Making an animation is a lot easier than programming a game. I think they got it though but if not don't get mad at em guys. Edit: I did some more research and turns out it isn't an animation

glad yall enjoyed the direct, there are plenty of cool projects that yall should definitely check out and most importantly it was hella nice to work with everyone on the direct and seeing that shit alive is honestly a really nice feeling of accomplishment and i am glad that we got this direct out there for yall to enjoy

To anyone who says Earthbound is unimportant and obscure, you’re dead wrong because this game (or trilogy) has spawned a entire subgenre of games which are evenly amazing.
*Not even Minecraft* had such a big impact regarding this context. Very impressive how this series inspires people still after 30 years.

I'm glad Earthbound is still alive after all these years. I knew it was ground breaking game, experiencing the ending with my brother in the early 2000's. Who knew an under sold game would get such fan treatment.

I really expected to see OMORI here.
That second one presents a neat idea...the Absolutely Safe Capsule just being rolled around the world by some of Porky's least-hostile soldiers, so he can still experience the world in all its splendor, like he used to back in Earthbound 2(after all, Porky was quite the adventurer!).

_MOTHER Encore_ I am the most excited for. That's the game that most badly needs the remake treatment, and the new things being added look really fun; hopefully the comparitively small scale of MOTHER will give this project a more realistic chance of achieving completion.
_EarthBound Dimensions_ I am the most cautiously optimistic about. The more ambitious a project like this is, the more vulnerable it is to failure, but I will champion this game 'til my dying breath should it succeed.
The _Cognitive Dissonance_ translation I was the most confused about, it's really jarring to put in an all-Spanish segment in the middle of an English presentation. I didn't even remember that Cognitive Dissonance was a thing until the very end - could have used a warm-up in English to better introduce people who know nothing about it.
_Opposing Force_ and _Deluxe_ look like fun, competent hacks that I'm definitely going to livestream at some point or another.
Vince, I appreciate your creative output and all, I see a lot of myself in you, but you went way overboard with plugging your entire life's portfolio here! There's a time and place! Nevertheless I found myself doing a double-take on hearing that stuff on _EBMusEd,_ it's been a while since I looked but those tutorials sound super helpful and promising, so if you're reading this, thank you very much.
Mother Encore is not a remake but a full on reimagining.
So you can't really use the original game as to provide accurate estimates for it's completion. Also it has been in dev for way longer than you think it was. Going through many QoL changes along the way.
I'd safely say to just keep waiting regardless of it comming sooner or later.
One more thing, while I do understand where you're comming from, that bit about Vince94 is kinda rude. Mother Directs aren't just for games, they're also for Mother fans to show and adress their passions too! Plus Vince94 already said that he isn't present on social media in general despite being a noteworthy figure(among the hacking community).
I'm not calling you out agressively or anything like that though, think of it as a heads-up. Hope you have a nice day.
