Almost NEVER hear any steel guitar in US "country music" any more . Leave to these two Brits to show us how it SHOULD be.............or USED to be !! Love then both. And rest in peace , John !
This tune playing brought my wife out of the kitchen. She says this takes her back to her childhood when this was on the radio when she was young. She now is s fan of your music, C & C, Morro Bay, CA
I remember riding in the back of our Chevy Kingswood Estate Wagon heading to the lake and my dad listening to country music and Wynn Stewart would always end up singing this song. What memories. David, again, thanks for the memories. I haven't heard such great steel guitar since the old Connie Smith songs.
WoW I just found out John passed away. What a great guitarist he was. Very sorry to learn of this... prayers to those that liked and loved John and prayers to his family and Dave.
Your music should be on country music radio here in America. Sad that so much of today's country music has changed so much and seems to be with out the Pedal Steel.Guitar. Thank goodness for TH-cam! Dave and John, you two are the greatest. Keep up your fine work.
I simply love listening to your beautiful music and the two of you playing is awesome! The tempo is so nice, an invitation to dance. Keep this duet coming ... thanks
Love it. I sit listening, enjoying and smiling, and then they finish, look at one another and smile. That makes it perfect. The angels are smiling too.
Its time for America to take another lesson from the brits...this is country music at its best. Hey David & John, Thanks for bringing that goodness back to country music. When America stopped playing this style using the crying steel and Telecaster that ended country music. When you boys are ready Nashville, Tennessee and Dallas, Texas are waiting with open arms. Thanks for sharing your great pick'n! Jim
Great ole hit by Wynn Stewart..Nice Rendition guys..Great to hear the old & genuine tunes of yesteryear. Love your song choices. Keep up the great pickin' I love it!!
Oh my gosh! This is just beautiful! I could listen to your music all day long every day!!! Thank you so much for posting this! You surely brightened my day! :)
I love the way you guys play off each other, I had that experience for about 26 yrs with Billy Blake in our band, we were twin brothers with different mothers. then he got cancer and it killed him, the music almost died that day for me. Thank you so much for what you do guys, keep it up and enjoy
Hi David and John. Its Dave on the narrowboat in cheshire.your music makes a warm sunny day even better,as we sit here drinking lovely cool white wine. Please do more of the short comedt sketches.Made us laugh boy. Dave
We need more of this type of music rather than that carp of today, these guys are great together makes me wish I could go back n time to better days with family & friends all around.👍
AWESOME Awesome presentation of Dale Noe's classic...... Wynn Stewart's ...with the late great Don Rich and Tom Brumley (on steel)...so essentially The Buckaroos is quite something in performance terms.........and of course Connie Smith's rendition is a classic. Perhaps one of the most underated versions is that by Nancy Siantra, where she exhibits a pace and understanding of the song that can't be bettered. Her clarity in diction that is also hard to beat.......but then almost everything Nancy Sinatra has done is ascrystal clear as we would ever wish. This goes back to her work with Lee Hazlewood.....where 'Some Velvet Morning' is simply off the scale as far as songs go. James Hennighan Yorkshire, England
Man you guys are just great....Love the humor also....Ya gotta be half Newfoundlander or else ...Of which I'm sure me great great grand dad came from England and to Newfoundland....for which again I'm so very proud........All the best ......John
Fantastic!! It`s awesome! You guys can`t be beat! It`s a very pretty world here today and to hear this made it even better! Keep on doing what you do, its great!!
Im not a big country music fan, BUT this is truly nice !! good beer drinking music and its a shame that country music doesn't give steel pedal guitar enough play these days... Probably becoming a lost art..
Great music and love the Sony MiniDisc format as I believe they deal only with the frequencies that are audible.I used them for years doing a solo act.I'd record my MIDI backing tracks then play guitar and sing with them.I've got 1 that works and 4 of them for parts.
As a guitar player I really enjoyed this. Very nice presentation. Too many wann-a-bees on the web and either they aren't that good or their recording is not good, Yours is very clear and crisp. Thanks
The two of you really work great together and the mix is perfect everytime. Just heard you were here in the states. Wish I'd known, I might have came to hear and meet you.
You guys are too much!!!! That trip to the States must have done something......Hope Al Brisco can get you guys over here sometime!!!!!!! Great job Dave & John!!!!!!!!!!
You guys are really great, you are the best steel player out there. and the guy on the guitar is one picking dude. I would love to be able to play a guitar like you do my friend, you are really great.
Hi Dave and John. You two sure do compliment each other. I am trying to learn the pedal steel and must admit that I get down sometimes. When I do all I have to do is get on you tube and listen to you and John or listen to you by yourself and I gives me inspiration to get back at it. I hope that I am not to old to learn a little more. Listening to you play Poor Boy Blues gives me hope. Would like to see you tab that one and make a teaching video of it.
Almost NEVER hear any steel guitar in US "country music" any more . Leave to these two Brits to show us how it SHOULD be.............or USED to be !! Love then both. And rest in peace , John !

RIP John, your strong yet so sweet guitar style perfectly complimented David's pedal steel wizardry. You are forever missed.
