You're so right, they should have been the musicians making millions hand over fist instead of these hacks calling themselves country artists these days
They are incredibly talented. Never saw or heard anything like this. Wow! They never paint themselves into a corner; and they always have one more note. Wow!
Asi es, hermosas melodias interpretadas por este gran fenomeno, me da mucho gusto que haya sido de su agrado, les recomiendo there's a tears in my beer.
Keith McKenzie --- The only folks I know of who might...MIGHT...be comparable are "The Hellecasters". They do a pretty good version of this song. But I don't know that I could say they were necessarily better. David & John were clearly a force to be reckoned with! And I'm so grateful that they took the time to record, and then post these wonderful clips for all of us to enjoy! It may sound corny, but watching them play together lifts my heart, and gives me some much needed faith in the Love that rests inside us all. Be well!
@@Newton14alan Hellecasters squeeze out pretty much every single sound of their guitars one can think of. and all super fast, clean and precise. technically top notch, no doubt. surely impressive in a certan way at first sight but it doesn't grab me. like the most beautiful woman a man has ever seen in his entire life but soon realizes she ain't got that inner beauty. but music is never a race with a dedicated winner, always a lot of personal taste. :-)

A pleasure listening to you guys. I sincerely hope that you get the recognition that you deserve. People should be paying to listen to talent as gifted as yours, only through your generosity do we get to enjoy music at this level for free. Very best wishes, Gordon.
David , I am so happy that you teamed up with John. You two are a great team and produce the best versions of these old classics I have ever heard. Fantastic, amazing. Thanks for showing the world how it's made.
What a piece of work. You guys just make each other better and it's plain to see you must be great friends. What a treasure. Thanks for the great music.
Fantastic guys. Takes me waaay back. As a kid of 12 played rhythm guitar with my dad playing this on mandolin. His flying fingers and chord changes on that mandolin! Even though my finger tips were calloused they were sore after OBS. We played it last in set.
Absolutely Delightful David and John. I've sent your TH-cam Link to many friends around the world - the best part is you two guys are enjoying your rehearsal so much. It really made me feel so happy. I say, John you are using a Plectrum at full speed too. The emulation of the Train's wafting and wailing Horn by each of you in turn, is unique - so well done. Thank you both for so generously sharing your artistic super-talent with the world. God Bless and preserve you for many many more years.
I am lost for words. All I can say you guys blow me away. Not to mention the steel giitar is perfect so accurate and its just fantastiv. Makes me want to get me guitar and play dance anything but keep quiet. Hehe. Keep it up guys. Bless you. If anyone ever wonder how wonderful music will be in heaven this is a taste.

Been a huge Paul Franklin fan ever since going to the Station Inn Nashville "just to hear old Pauly play" from my shack in the hills (of Sydney Australia) his extemporaneous adventures had me mesmerised, but I love as much Dave and John (RIP ol mate) superb.
