- Yup, I'm heading back to Jember for Lebaran. When I left Ibnu's house the last time, he told me how his mom had wished that I stayed for Idul Fitri. So, I decided to head back to Jember and surprise them. This is the first part of my journey back. I knew traveling during this time wasn't going to be easy or fun, but I didn't realize it would be this bad. It didn't help that the bus I ordered didn't come and they threw me on an economy bus. No AC, hot, smokey, packed.. it was not a pleasant experience. I felt like Andy Dufresne at the end of Shawshank. Once I got to Jember and checked in, 15 hours after I left my hotel in Bali, I passed out... and the next day I woke up and went to the local mall to look for some things I could bring to Ibnu's house. As I'm exploring the mall, I find the mini amusement park with a rollercoaster that takes you in and out of the building. I had to try it. The next day, before I went to Ibnu's, I decided to get cleaned up so went to a local barber to get a haircut and beard trim. You won't believe who they had on their sample's haircut menu... it's hilarious.
Yup, saya akan kembali ke Jember untuk Lebaran. Ketika saya meninggalkan rumah Ibnu terakhir kali, dia memberi tahu saya bagaimana ibunya berharap saya tinggal untuk Idul Fitri. Jadi, saya memutuskan untuk kembali ke Jember dan mengejutkan mereka. Ini adalah bagian pertama dari perjalanan saya kembali. Saya tahu bepergian selama waktu ini tidak akan mudah atau menyenangkan, tetapi saya tidak menyadari itu akan seburuk ini. Itu tidak membantu bahwa bus yang saya pesan tidak datang dan mereka melemparkan saya ke bus ekonomi. Tidak ada AC, panas, smokey, penuh sesak.. itu bukan pengalaman yang menyenangkan. Saya merasa seperti Andy Dufresne di akhir Shawshank. Begitu sampai di Jember dan check in, 15 jam setelah saya meninggalkan hotel saya di Bali, saya pingsan... dan keesokan harinya saya bangun dan pergi ke mall lokal untuk mencari beberapa barang yang bisa saya bawa ke rumah Ibnu. Saat saya menjelajahi mal, saya menemukan taman hiburan mini dengan rollercoaster yang membawa Anda masuk dan keluar dari gedung. Saya harus mencobanya. Keesokan harinya, sebelum saya pergi ke Ibnu, saya memutuskan untuk membersihkan diri jadi pergi ke tukang cukur setempat untuk potong rambut dan cukur jenggot. Anda tidak akan percaya siapa yang mereka miliki di menu sampel potongan rambut mereka... ini lucu.

The worst "mudik" traffic jam in Indonesia was on 2016, called Tragedy of Brexit (Brebes Exit), a legendary 40km's traffic jam. It tooks 35 hours till 2-3 days which normally should take only 3 hours from Jakarta to Brebes, and that moment killed 17 people.
2010 saya pernah mudik dr bekasi ke solo 3 hari bang , dulu tiap mau lebaran pasti jalan2 tol baru diperbaiki, padahal tau sendiri orang kita kerjanya molor. Pas tiba musim mudik, jalan belum selesai, yg bisa dipake cuma satu ruas
Berangkat dr bekasi sabtu siang, minggu sore baru sampe subang 😂

This is the hallmark of "Mudik", we will return to our hometown in droves, meet our big family, all gathered in one house (yes, maybe like Christmas? where the whole family will gather) if the streets are quiet and there are not many people it doesn't feel like "Mudik" is boring and like ordinary days nothing special, but if you do a tour not for the purpose of "Mudik" or going home to meet the family who are waiting for us there, obviously this will be a tiring and worst trip
The worse mudik is mudik without gathering with family especially parents and siblings no matter where we are. Mudik is not only for celebrating Eid al Fitr but also silahturahmi forum & gathering with our family and environment. May uncle Nick love living in Indo 😊

9:27 i think they just didnt know you got transfer from another bus so they make sure you already pay yeah its kinda unprofessional. and as far as i understand all executive bus in Indonesia always have an ac, so if you got transferred from executive bus to economy you can ask to cancel or wait for reschedule with executive bus. and to avoid misunderstanding we usually call bus only for car with a capacity of with capacity over 20 seats with a seat configuration usually 2-2. Below that we usually called it "travel" car.

Indonesian people are very friendly to foreigners (but of course there will always be those who can't respect other people even foreigners) but Indonesia is famous for being a very friendly country, I hope that slogan will remain the slogan of our country

the best part of traveling is times like that, it's very boring when you want to travel but the journey is very smooth. so as much as possible traveling by bus or ship because we pass many places that cannot be obtained by plane

9:26 sometimes the company using a freelance driver and the driver just don't know if you already pay or not, if you say you paid them already then the driver just ask the money to the company, the company is bad

During mudik of idul fitri, any kind of executive transport, either land or sea, are bought online and sold out first before eco-class. They are selling as soon as a month earlier. So you might wanna prepare if u r planning on another mudik adventure in indonesia in the future😅 anyway, looking forward to ur next video. God bless, be safe, and take care.

Well, speaking as a roller coaster lover (LOL), I agree that back seat is always offer the best experience, not the front one.
Because when it goes up, the speed is usually very slow. The front seat will be arrived first and will slowly goes down before the speed goes faster again. But if you sit at the back, that will be almost no gap between slow and fast pace. So that will be more fun.
Sorry for the long comment 😆 i hope you can take roller coaster ride in Dufan (Jakarta), Trans Studio Bandung or Jatim Park someday.

Actually you can take a big bus with executive class, you can ride at the nearest bus terminal or agent. The bus you ride in this video sometimes doesn't have good service.
