So they picked the 💩 of the luwak at the floor of the forest, use that coffee beans to make the Luwak Coffee. Luwak coffee is still influenced by the harsh history of Dutch colonial era, the natives in Indonesia are not allowed to have the proper coffee for themselves, the locals grind the cleaned chivet's or Bat's poop with the remaining beans instead. fyi nick, luwak coffee had a good for stomach especially for people who had a stomach ache and similar, bc theres less acid and more smooth than regular coffee. And talk about the price its related to historical before that coffee found and bc its a rare. now people farming that coffee also breading animal on the cage, but the best luwak coffee and its more way expensive its for wild luwak in the forest or similar. thats what i learn. sticky rice or we called it "ketan". there is also black sticky rice, it used to make porridge we called it "bubur ketan hitam", the taste is sweet, pour it with some coconut milk, sometimes we also eat them together with green beans porridge. you should try it!
I have been watching some of your videos, the Jember episodes strike me the most because Ibnu's mom reminds me of my best friend's mom. She used to tell my friend to tell me to come over after school (I met my best friend in highschool) whenever she cooked gudeg because she knew I love gudeg. She passed away about 8 years ago. I don't know how but Ibnu's mom just reminds me of my best friend's mom.
I prefer the black kopi Luwak that is sold at the shop with that brand. Maybe I've been used to it since elementary school in the morning while watching cartoons being treated to black coffee with a Pia cake mung bean stuff.
My recommendations are islands in Indonesia such as: Sangihe Island, Maselihe Bay, Samares Blue Lake in Papua, Pusuk Buhit in North Sumatra, Sawarna Beach in Banten. there are many more natural beauties such as secret waterfalls on several islands
There's more to the luwak poop coffee than it seems, back in colonial times the natives aren't allowed to drink regular coffee, but they want to experience drinking coffee, so what they did is they discovered the poop from the luwak that consumed coffee cherries, since the luwak cannot digest the pit (the coffee bean) so it remains intact, they cleaned and processed the coffee beans and as it turns out they tasted great. But don't take my word for it, i can't quite remember about the whole story, i've heard it from a random TH-cam video i came across, but i think that's about right.
