- Today we explore the streets of Malang. My hotel is right across the street from Malan station so that is where we start off. I check out a couple monuments in the area and then dip into the small warung alley to get some lunch. The ladies there were super nice and didn't mind me invading their kitchen. They also cooked me up some delicious fried rice. After lunch, I set off in the direction of the rainbow village but we don't go explore inside. If you would like to see that video I'll leave a link below. I was actually trying to find a rawon restaurant but it was closed. I then head to the Alun-Alun Malang to chill for a while because by that point my legs were getting tired. After a quick rest, I continue on and while I was walking around I stumbled upon a print shop and go inside and see about getting some stickers printed. I already had the image saved on my phone so it was only a matter of sending that to them and they were able to print me up 200 for $7. While waiting for the stickers to finish, I found a stylish cafe and restaurant on the corner of the main street. I enjoy a couple drinks on the rooftop and then head back to pick up the stickers. Took only one hour, terrific service! I then decide to end the video and so in the next video, you'll see part 2 of wandering around Malang. As always, thanks for watching!
Hari ini kita menjelajah jalanan kota Malang. Hotel saya tepat di seberang jalan dari stasiun Malan jadi di situlah kami memulai. Saya melihat beberapa monumen di daerah itu dan kemudian masuk ke gang warung kecil untuk makan siang. Para wanita di sana sangat baik dan tidak keberatan saya menyerbu dapur mereka. Mereka juga memasakkan saya nasi goreng yang enak. Setelah makan siang, saya berangkat ke arah desa pelangi tetapi kami tidak menjelajah ke dalam. Jika Anda ingin melihat video itu, saya akan meninggalkan tautan di bawah. Saya sebenarnya mencoba mencari restoran rawon tetapi sudah tutup. Saya kemudian menuju Alun-Alun Malang untuk bersantai sejenak karena saat itu kaki saya sudah mulai lelah. Setelah istirahat sebentar, saya melanjutkan dan ketika saya sedang berjalan-jalan, saya menemukan sebuah toko percetakan dan masuk ke dalam dan melihat beberapa stiker yang akan dicetak. Saya sudah memiliki gambar yang disimpan di ponsel saya, jadi hanya masalah mengirimkannya kepada mereka dan mereka dapat mencetak saya hingga 200 seharga $7. Sambil menunggu stiker selesai, saya menemukan kafe dan restoran bergaya di sudut jalan utama. Saya menikmati beberapa minuman di atap dan kemudian kembali untuk mengambil stiker. Beside the Soccer team's mascot, There's also another reason why lion is seen as a symbol of Malang. Malang was the location of the historical site of Singhasari Kingdom in the antiquity era. Singha (also pronounce as Singa, Singo) means lion. The old coat of arms of Malang in the Dutch era also derived from the aforementioned kingdom.

Hey Nick.. I recommend while you're in the city of Malang, you can walk from Veteran street to Idjen street. You can see a lot of ex-Dutch residence. There is an Indonesian heroic funeral too in Veteran street.
The big trees will cover you from sun ray. A nice place to walk there.

Rawon Nguling is actually originally from Nguling, Probolinggo (a small city near Bromo). It is so famous of it's delicacy and has many franchises in many cities in East Java. So..it is a perfect recommendation to try👌

The majority of people here doesn't take the driving test, either because you don't have time or competence for it or because of corruption and/or discrimination. The last one is a whole other can of worms I don't want to open right now though, so just keep in mind that many accidents are also happening because the drivers involved aren't actually qualified.

You can find more similar car wreckage statue and another danger sign in Indonesia Nick, there's quite a lot out there, especially in a remote main road. I used to think they're excessive, but by experiencing years of driving here, i do think they're a necessary reminder, especially in our traffic that consist of a lot of motorcycle.
