Find the door button push it ,find the hidden console panel ,check the key card, push the button, slide the control, push another button, check the key card ,disengage the alarm ,turn the wheel until the TVR horn button is exactly the right position, push the start button...prey to the battery gods that you still have enough power to turn the engine on 😅

The first Cerbera cars were produced in 1996, now admissible under the US “25 year rule”. Give it another few years, and you’ll be able to import a “properly sorted” 98/99 model.

@@Mcali1984 yes, that would likely be an issue. They’ve stopped testing for emissions in my area, otherwise I think would really struggle, especially de-catted, which is almost necessary - the massive heat-soak from the CAT’s make the central tunnel unbearably hot and doesn’t do the gearbox any good either.

@@DaleSteel Really? I have a 1998 Chimaera 4.5. In 2013, I took it to a specialist who told me it would need the outriggers doing "in a couple of years" (it had actually just passed its MOT). That's when it was 17 years old. How many other makes can you name that get to 17 without needing some body work doing? I opted for a full chassis restoration and it's still pristine.
My son has had several TVRs (I think 7) and, like mine, they've all been great cars.

@@kingcurry6594 wow you have one good example I can show many that were rotten when I was looking for one. Saying you saw 17 thar weren't rotten is pretty irrelevant to my statement isn't it. Those 17 may of all been garaged. Plus alot of them now have had their chasis replaced.

Is that the typical starting routine? How stupid is that? Does the owner need to be in constant contact with Cape Canaveral during this tricky procedure? Is it meant to attract Brits because the pomp and ceremony of starting one's car is reminiscent of the changing of the royal guard?
All the gushing over such a flawed car reminds me of Corvette fans in the early '80's.
