    I am a native English speaker and these rules were never explicitly explained to me, I just picked them up from exposure. I am here to understand my syllable assumptions so that I can unlearn them when speaking French. Great job on this.

    Very helpful! I have a question about my name though... In the US people pronounce my name with a stress on the second syllabe, ClaRIce, not on the first syllable like you presented... Do names follow a different rule?

    Very well presented ... but a small observation ... Record (5:07) can be a verb also .. maybe its a good idea to show the 2 different ways to pronounce this .. as a noun, and as a verb. What say !

    When you say "adjective" the stress should be on the first syllable
