Opinions are opinions but the 80s and 90s were the best for me. The current designs are alot nicer than the early to mid 00s designs though they've really come up with some nice cars in the last 10 years
8 gran coupe looks good, but nothing tops the 6 series. The M6 gran coupe specifically, just FILTHY 😝. I was lucky enough to snag a 650i and it’s just so damn sharp
I personally chose the M6 F06 over the M8/M850 because not only has it been my dream car forever but in my opinion the interior and exterior of the F06 is just way nicer. Plus i've ran an M850i and I can tell you for a fact the M6 is faster lol.

I have 650i from 2015 and i Think that is still one of most beautifull CARS on the road and its very unique, but come on 850i is way better in every inch. I must be honest. 8 series is beautiful. I still love my 6 series.
I 100% Agree I love the 650i and sounds insane especially dropping gears. The M850i jap it is something out of this world, but the 650i still looks like a new BMW.
For a price standpoint the m6 sticks out so much. Here in the usa a nice m6 cost about 45-55k. A 850I cost about 70-80k .The m6 just has a better interior to me, even though it may have some lest tech and drive system. The 850i to be more modern . I personally would go for the m6 but I am also very bias considering I have a f06 640xi of that year. lol
Damn it is a massive difference in price, but I have to say in SA it also jumps more than double the price for the M850i. Haha I can completely understand why you are bias lol... that 640i X we never received in SA only the 40i RWD I can imagine yours must be a machine. Thank you very much for the support :-)

You got it right. I dislike it when TH-camrs try to compare M-models from different generations---Of course, a G30 M5 is going to be superior to an F10 or E60. The real comparison is to put an M-model against the successor M-performance car like you did here. It would have been nice if you could have drag raced the two to see how they fared.

Now that I've had, and sold, both, I find myself missing the DCT and ability to change throttle/suspension/shift settings on the M6. I miss certain aspects of both! Now I have a 2007 M6, love the engine, SMG is getting on my nerves. An M6, AWD with a V10 and DCT would be absolutely perfect IMHO.
Why 4wd tho....???.... The RWD is all part of the fun 🙂.... And I'm guessing yours is a US car ?... As I love the SMG... it's brutal (UK car)... But as you mentioned 4wd.. You must be focussed on off the line and ultimate performance.
Ja look on an M vehicle most definitely - I would not work on these cars anywhere else than at BMW or someone using original parts, but they are very expensive just front brakes and pads easy over R20k
It's not a fair comparison...the coupe is much different than the grand coupe. For those who speak of performance....the M850 0-60 is 3.6 sec. and the M6 is 4.2...I have the 850 convertible and it's on another level.

Owning both, the m850 is quicker, at top end the m6 is a bit faster, overall the m850 sounded, looked and drove better, plus with a simple tune and light fbo + awd it’s a monster.

The interior design was of the M6 was special and exclusive. No other BMW was like it. The M8, not so much. It's a parts bin interior. M6 real Coupe is much quicker than the 850. Especially the competition package. Something you might find interesting, is a 60mph roll race between a competition M6 and an M8.

The whole time, I just felt like the interior was very familiar to my wife's 540i. I'm going to be at the track tomorrow with my M6, and a buddy in his M8. If there was an AWD M6, with exhaust as loud as the M850i, I would have kept the M6. Interior is WAY more beautiful! And be honest brother, there's hardly any difference volume wise between comfort and sport/sport plus in the M6. I was so bummed when I put mine in sport plus, thinking it was going to come alive, and it didn't.

Why not make the m6 awd? Buy a write off 850i do some swaps get a deutsch tech custom exhaust sytem and a remap new manifold etc. You've got one hell of a unique beast.
LOL, there's a lot of people who've never driven the M850 swearing the "proper M car" is better. The M6 is quicker? I guess Motortrend, Car and Driver, R&T and others got both cars 0-60 and 1/4 mile times wrong.

Well maybe because they are only unreliable if the car is not well maintained, drove hard constantly and if modified, I have sold a few and till today no problems
There is a lot of factors that go with unreliability of these vehicles and most of the time it is not the cars fault though, but I know of reliability issues and I am also here to promote BMW lol 🤣🤣🤣
The 4.4 had problems in the beginning. BMW addressed those issues and replaced valve trains in all cars with under 100k miles. Then upgraded the engines in 2014 to the “TU” engine code. These engines are insane! They are a high performance engine. They need to be maintained! People buy used ones with high miles because of the price. A lot of them have not been well taken care of and then they start having expensive repairs. I’ve had a 650i for over three years and this car does everything exceptionally well! Smooth, comfortable ride, great gas mileage when cruising (up to 28 miles/gal) and then embarrasses just about everything on the road in performance. There are some pretty disappointed Mustang owners out there lol! Body parts are expensive though. I just paid $3900.00 for one headlight plus $600.00 for one of four modules. Amazing car but don’t tell anybody.

This man have not the level. He is destrying this car with very low oil temperature. It's the shame to treat like that such a car when oil is cold. Not a driver.

The turbos in the V also make the motor run very hot and many plastics and seals deteriorate very quickly as a result, especially valve stem seals.
Very true indeed, but I know that when you see it quick enough it wont be a big issue, will just cost a lot extra lol
Thats why you use 10w-40 synthetic oil ...and supporting mods the car will do fine and last ALOT longer

There is a lot of factors that go with unreliability of these vehicles and most of the time it is not the cars fault though, but I know of reliability issues and I am also here to promote BMW lol 🤣🤣🤣
The 4.4 had problems in the beginning. BMW addressed those issues and replaced valve trains in all cars with under 100k miles. Then upgraded the engines in 2014 to the “TU” engine code. These engines are insane! They are a high performance engine. They need to be maintained! People buy used ones with high miles because of the price. A lot of them have not been well taken care of and then they start having expensive repairs. I’ve had a 650i for over three years and this car does everything exceptionally well! Smooth, comfortable ride, great gas mileage when cruising (up to 28 miles/gal) and then embarrasses just about everything on the road in performance. There are some pretty disappointed Mustang owners out there lol! Body parts are expensive though. I just paid $3900.00 for one headlight plus $600.00 for one of four modules. Amazing car but don’t tell anybody.

You have a stunning car though and I love the engine sound it makes also on low revs when it burbles. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. This man have not the level. He is destrying this car with very low oil temperature. It's the shame to treat like that such a car when oil is cold. Not a driver.
Where do you think the oil temperature is low? I always wait for the car to warm up first before doing anything to the car. I work with these cars everyday so I know when not to do something and when to do something. Thank you for your comment anyway, appreciate the support. Keep on watching
