twilight princess is my favorite zelda game, everything about it from the story, the art style, characters, sound track, etc is so good man. I'll never forget hearing midnas lament for the first time
I didn't even know this game was heavily criticized in the Zelda community until a bunch of videos started coming out defending it 😂 I've always loved this game, it's probably my second fave Zelda title. Countless memories of playing this with my best friend growing up has cemented a place for it in my heart. Thanks so much for your kind words and well-put argument, it's always great to be reminded of just why I love Twilight so much.
Kinda funny that twilight princess was knee jerk loved when it first came out cause it wasn't Wind Waker... but then people started to knee jerk hate it to be contrarian but now people are coming back to defend it again. Which they should cause its a fantastic game.
I think Twilight Princess could be better if: 1- there are more hints about Ganondorf's existence. Like people commenting on the darkness feeling similar to a previous historical event. 2-The Twilight Realm is a complete town full of people, with the Castle emanating a dark energy which is corrupting the people's true form.
I know it may sound sappy, but this game helped me through the loss of my mom this year. Whenever it felt like I couldn't go on, I would remember the strength Link shows and how he keeps going no matter how shitty things get. And especially how much traumatic shit he goes through but he keeps standing through it all. This game will always mean the world to me because of that.
love this video!! Twilight Princess was also my gamer awakening, and my cats are named Midna and Link! Midna has always been my favorite character ever so it was only fitting i named my first kitty after her
There really is no better game for me, I adore Zelda games but this one just hit different. I love how much darker this game is than practically all the rest, the art style is just absolutely gorgeous and the story line is just incredible to me. I could replay this game a thousand times and never grow tired of it.
As someone who never owned a GameCube, Wii, or Wii U, but loves Legend of Zelda games, there are two (admittedly very different) titles that I desperately want a remake/remastery of on Switch/Switch 2. Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. I genuinely think both games have the potential to be in my top 5 favorite Zelda games (high praise for a series that contains some of my favorite games of all time), and from what I've seen and heard, I think Twilight Princess is nothing short of a masterpiece. I definitely love the visual style and darker atmosphere.
The problem is I have seen varying sides of the spectrum and even in my own relationships with people I knew in person, I was one of very few people I knew that liked the game, with their favorites tending to be the usual picks of wind waker or Oot. I will concede that the comment sections to any top ten list for the best games has people lining up to praise TP, but it goes that way with nearly every zelda game that usually gets placed lower anyways. I've seen fans for every game leave comments about their favorite game, but I feel the reason Twilight Princess is brought up so much in the comments is due to both a hardcore vocal fanbase that screams louder than the rest as well as the game getting overshadowed by consensus top honors like Majoras mask or Wind Waker. I very well could be wrong, but whether it is truly underrated or not, it is still an amazing game.
underrated? I don't think I've ever heard someone use anything close to that to describe Twilight Princess. In fact, at least in part to people here in the west unjustly hating Wind Waker for it's art style, TP is considered one of the best ones. Like, yes in recent years it's not considered ass good because the internet is...well, the internet, but I've never seen it raking low on any list. It also helps that Midna is perfect and everyone loves her.
I got randomly suggested your video and seeing as Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda, I gave it a click. You really nailed your script on this, it sounds incredibly professional. Great vid
Maybe I'm biased, cause I played Twilight Princess in my early teen, but I freaking love it! I know it by heart, and played it on end. Seeing the characters grow helped me, to get through some horrible times. It even inspired me to write a story, based on it. First it was in the world of Twilight Princess, but now, it's grown to its own thing. Twilight Princess will always hold a special place in my heart.
Twilight Princess is also my favorite Zelda game. It came out when I was discovering what Zelda was, and it was my gateway into the franchise. I fell in love with 2D and 3D, classic and modern, all of it. But Twilight Princess will always be my favorite cause nostalgia dictates it. I liked your vid 👊
I just like the fact that The Legend of Zelda can have so many different styles. While it'd be a Darker Art style, Cartoonish, Traditional Fantasy, a mix of Realistic and Cartoonish, and so on. The Gamecube era was just peak Zelda. And that E3 Trailer for Twilight Princess was something else. I'm just glad that we got a Zelda game like this one.
I wouldnt say its underated, its almost everyone’s favourite now. But it was underated, always will be my 2nd fav legend of zelda even before all the praise.
This is easily one of my most replayed games, and it gets even better when playing through with randomizers enabled. This game never gets old, in fact I would say it gets even better as time goes on. Thank you for watching.
I totally agree. Twilight Princess is the one game I want to forget just to be able to experience it all over again. This game made me cry, more than once, and it's my absolute favourite.
My first Zelda game ever was Ocarina of Time as my home had a Nintendo 64 in it and at the time my younger brother always wanted to watch me play. He officially picked up his controller when he was about 3 and I was 8. By the time he turned 5 he could make it through The Great Deku Tree Dungeon with minimal help from me but when it came to the final boss, Gohma, he absolutely REFUSED to battle her as she scared him to death and gave him nightmares for a WEEK on his first time viewing her. So me, being 10 at this time and having killed Gohma several times prior growing up, killed it for him. And I did this every time till he turned 8 and got over his fear. Since then he and I and a few other members of our family have been massive unapologetic Zelda nerds! I love this series to death and can't wait to play the next installments! :D
For me, it's purely qhen compared to its peers. In my experience, when people talk of twilight princess is talked about, it is given the praise ir deserves, but when talk of the best zelda games comes around, I usually see it overshadowed by others, Oot, majoras mask, Botw, and wind waker to be specific. When I use the term underrated, I mean it in that regard. I firmly believe it's mechanics, dungeons, story, and atmosphere to be some of the best, if not the best in the franchise, but I see it get overshadowed by the others. This is my own experience however, so it could be different for others, so I very well could be wrong, and as some comments have pointed out, I might be wrong in that regard, or people have different definitions as to what underrated means. In hindsight, I feel the term "overlooked" could have portrayed my thoughts better, or elicited less confusion. Sorry for the wrong read, but I hope that conveys my thoughts. Thank you for watching 😃
no one every talks about it though, that's the point,it doesn't matter how many copies are sold,it's that no one ever talks about it,I also feel like it's underrated and unappreciated
@@eeveefennecfox IDK if you've been living under a rock or if you're new to the community but its one of the most talked about games in the franchise right up there with OOT. Especially ever since TOTK got released, TP has been praised and glazed nonstop.
Twilight princess is easily my favorite game ever. I really love it when people like you make videos about it to appreciate how great it truly is. Yes the beginning can feel long but it builds to the story, yes the iron boots are slow but it’s not even a big part of the game, yes lakebed temple is confusing, well nope it’s just confusing.😭
The game wouldn't be so underrated if Nintendo wasn't SOOOOOOO STUBBORN about releasing the game on Switch. People are begging Nintendo to release the game on Switch, and Nintendo is just plugging their ears about it ignoring people's requests for wind waker and Twilight Princess to come to Switch. Nintendo clearly don't give a crap about the consumers.
See Twilight Princess had moments that annoyed me. But overall i agree with you about being the best game (at least to me) in the series. It's my personal favourite Zelda game. (I found Breath of the Wild to be boring, to be honest.) I love the atmosphere, i love the story, i love the characters, and i love this version of Hyrule.
I love every Zelda game for different reasons, but the dungeons, atmosphere, characters, gameplay, music, and especially the story hit me in a particular way that I can't describe other than just saying it is my favorite.
Twilight Princess did manage to improve gameplay variety, when compared to earlier efforts. Horseback -fighting and even platform -sections played as a wolf, gave the huge world pacing not seen on other entrys of the series. Game is intense, but still player can take their own time on Hyrule. The map itself is just right, not any bigger than player is able to cope & keep on constant memory, but still huge as a whole. This is how i like 3D -Zelda games. Nothing unnecessary substance/content. World where everything matters, but you can't fail by trying.
Twilight Princess is by far my favorite Zelda game, and probably favorite game of all time. Playing it as a kid was fun and even now at 28 years old, it’s still incredible. The graphics, the music.. *chef’s kiss*. I listen to most of the soundtrack everyday while working. I will never understand how some people hate on it!
"Twilight Princess, one of the most beloved and talked about games in the franchise, which consistently makes it to the top 3 of most people's rankings, isn't talked about as much as I personally feel it should be in my limited perspective. Therefore, underrated." Lol, good video and well spoken, but be serious dude. Just because YOU haven't seen as many people talking about your favorite game as you would like doesn't mean that people don't talk about it or that it's underrated. I'd go so far as to say that picking Twilight Princess as your favorite is a basic take because it seems like everyone and their mother's favorite from MY perspective. I can't watch a Zelda video or read it's comments without seeing people talk about how much they love TP. To be frank, I've played through the opening of TP, got to wolf Link and did a little running around before I got bored and dropped it. I've been meaning to return to it eventually because people laud it so much, but so far it seems overrated in my opinion.
Easily my favorite Zelda ever! It's Ocarina of Time, but bigger, better, and more epic! I love everthing from the story to the gameplay, the dungeons (never get tired of traversing magnetic walls with the iron boots), and of course Midna herself who is no doubt the best sidekick we ever got!
This is my favorite game of all time. There is a reason Midna is tatooed on my shoulder. She is the BEST character in ANY game i ever played. Combat is easily the best in the franchise all thanks to the hidden skills. I use mortal draw every chance i get. The dungeons are the best in the series apart from the ancient cistern in Skyward Sword. Dungeons, the one thing BOTW and TOTK didn't get right because there are none. Music is so epic. Hyrule field alone is a masterpiece. It is annoying when Midna's lament gets interupted by ennemies. The second phase of Morpheel is absolutely a '' GET OVER HERE ! '' moment. Smashing Armogohma is also satisfying. Alright, i think i'm done xD Great video. Have a good day ! Sidenote: if this game was to come to Nintendo Switch as a remaster, i would go bananas !
Loved this game so much. I think it was because to me, it was one, my first Zelda game, and two, it had character growth that i just haven't gotten from playing BOTW or TOTK. there's a nostalgia factor to it, yes, but it was also genuinely just an enjoyable game. Memorable characters with memorable designs on top of that ? I think that's why I've loved this game since I've played it.
I really have to agree. This game came at the right time for me and it molded and shaped my interests which I am extremely grateful for. The story and characters are absolutely incredible, and I would argue the best in the series, and it only gets better when delving into the gameplay and dungeons.
@@GCGBerserk I wish they could reintroduce the Twili into the series one day. When I saw the trailer for TOTK (before we knew it as that...) I was so convinced that we would get to see the Twili again, only this time centuries down the line. The Zonai are cool, but only having Rauru and Mineru in the game kinda sucked. I get it for lore reasons, but seeing the Twili scattered around the Twilight Realm really was a highlight of my playthrough
You mostly summed up what I think of this great game. Haha. While Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game of all time and is the reason I became a fan of the series, Twilight Princess (coming in close 2nd) has just about everything I've ever wanted in a Zelda game. It has my favorite Link, my favorite companion Midna (she is amazing), wonderful music, story, characters, lore and so on and so fourth. And I love how much the manga gave this game even more life to it and its characters too. Especially for Link and Midna. Amazing game and I still wish they had made that sequel (not crossbow training) they were wanting to make years ago. Hope it gets re-released for the new Switch 2 sometime soon.
Idk, this games been getting glazed tf off since TotK. I get that it’s an amazing game, it really is. But I wouldn’t personally call it underrated. It’s not really one of my favorites, but it is one of my most nostalgic Zelda’s. It was always one of the ones I never figured out all the way.
To be fair that could very well be true. In my own experience I have seen it get love, but less than others, so it very well could have changed recently. It has always seemed to be more of the hardcore niche in the fanbase who have loved this one so I will say if that has indeed changed and it's skyrocketing in popularity among the more general player base I'm glad to see it.
My all time favorite video game is GTA San Andreas. Twilight Princess is still a close second to this day. Both of the Red Dead Redemption games are my 3rd favorite
No offense this whole overview feels like awkwardly reading a PDF review, I dont feel like any love, passion, or interest is conveyed through the video; I dont know if this is intended, or if an impartial review is the vibe you're going for, but the tone is what makes it feel that way for me, you mentioned you loved the gameplay however your pitch and voice feels completely scripted and like youre reading stuff for a press conference, try to loosen up a bit Also love the helmsplitter too btw
there is 100% no doubt about it that Wind Waker and twilight princess are two of the most underrated games and they deserve remakes or ports, but they need to be made more available, especially on one of Nintendo’s consoles. They had the best gameplay my opinion.
I love this game so much 😢 I'm glad you uploaded this, I feel like I've watched every other bit of twilight princess content on here already I need a Switch release soooo bad
No, because when it first came out back in 2006 it wasn't that well recieved and not much talked about either - mostly by framing its slow start, Hyrule Field being empty and (falsely) being called a "Oot Ripoff". But it seems it's one of those games that have aged well over the years (except its graphics but that is on the art style)
A link to the past was an inflection point for me too... I'm really thankful to emulation for that. Also, the fact that Nintendo didn't want to do Twilight princess but delivered some of the best writing and character development is just amazing
Twilight Princess was the 3rd zelda game I played, but the 1st I loved. Wind Waker, then OoT. I liked them alot. But this game will be with me for the rest of my life.❤
In my interpretation of Zelda lore, holders of pieces of the Triforce cannot be killed except at the hands of another. This combined with Ganondorf's raw power and strength, even ignoring the Triforce of Power, requiring the Master Sword and Light Arrows to hurt him… Midna had no chance. If Zelda had not returned to her body, and Midna kept the Triforce of Wisdom, I think she may have been able to mildly injure Ganondorf at best, but the Fused Shadow is not enough. She didn't know how to access light arrows, and given she's a twilit, she may not have been able to wield them. And with Zelda returning to her body, taking back the Triforce of Wisdom… well… we know how that turned out.
Considering that I've only played both the legend of zelda Twilight Princess and the HD remaster, I would agree with you that it is underrated. The legend of zelda Twilight Princess is the only legend of zelda game that has interested me enough in order for me to play it.
While not my all-time favorite game, Twilight Princess is my favorite game in the Zelda series, which is my favorite game series. The intro takes too long, but once it starts moving, this game cooks!!
Good video ! TP is definitly not my fav Zelda but it's a great game regardless and at the time it came out it was a pure banger ! PS : weird question but did you use chatGPT for your script ? No criticism here, it is just for personal research
There are definitely other zeldas I can see being people's all time favorite. For me majoras mask is a close second, but twilight princess is the one that wins out, but there are so many good games in the series. In regards to your question, no I write my scripts myself, and while I feel I do well, I have been trying to work on repetitive words, like I noticed after I published the video, I said grove three times in like ten seconds during the midnas lament segment. There is a lot I've improved on, but there is plenty more for me to learn. I am happy you enjoyed the video :)
I respect your opinion, but you didn't really give a lot of reasoning for how it's underrated. In my opinion, I think it's *slightly* overrated. In regards to the story section, everything outside of Midna is a bit bland or a let down. Zelda has little involvement and the connection between her and Link is nearly non-existent... she has a couple sacrifices that add some weight, especially between her and Midna, but otherwise, her involvement in the story is minimal. This is Ganondorf's worst appearance, especially plot-wise. He doesn't even know who Link is, he just refers to him as Midna's "little friend"... there's no substance or build-up between him and Link in this game, in fact there's arguably more between Midna and Ganondorf. The way Zant is handled is poor as well, he's built up to be a powerful intimidating figure, only for him to become a dancing fool... which feels anti-climatic and out of nowhere, although I appreciate his final few seconds in the game where he realizes who Ganondorf really is and decides to cut the connection, ultimately killing both of them- that was good. Ilia and the village children feel... a little half baked. I find Aryll's situation in the Wind Waker more compelling and she has far less screen time. I don't think Ilia and the children are necessarily bad, but the kids basically chill in Kakariko after the 2nd dungeon for the rest of the game. I also don't feel much for Ilia. Her biggest scene in the beginning is her stealing Link's horse and preventing his important task. The most we have of her that's positive is her briefly washing Epona at the start and her having a mellow moment where Link smiles at her before she's taken. Her memory being lost isn't the gut-punch it's meant to be. It's sort of just "ok, her memory is lost, I guess we should try and find a way to recover it". And when she does recover, it's mildly sweet and nice and that's about it. Again, it's not bad, but it's not very compelling. I'd argue that Link and Saria are done better. You do acknowledge a couple of these faults in your video, but for me, I can't ignore them just because Midna is amazing and one of the best characters in the series. Most other Zelda games are able to properly balance their cast, but for Twilight Princess, Midna takes the cake and the rest of the characters take a hit. That's just story though, which isn't a huge factor for me. Gameplay-wise... I still have critiques. Link's shield is automatic when targeting and there's usually almost no consequences for it. A lot of enemies only take a quarter of a heart when they do hit you, including many bosses. Most of the secret skills you learn after the first ones have no use, they're mostly for show. Back slice and helm splitter are useful in some situations, but after that, things like the great spin or mortal draw aren't really necessary... they're just flashy for a game with (mostly) easy combat situations. Twilight Princess has some really fun mini-games, but in terms of actual side quests... it doesn't have the abundance like Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Skyward Sword, Tears of the Kingdom, etc. Items are also a bit under used, as you pointed out in the video. I have other nit-picks, but they can be applied to other Zelda games too, I'm just looking for ones that are moreso Twilight Princess exclusive. Don't get me wrong, the game is amazing... and it's good by Zelda standards too, but when some say it's the pinnacle Zelda game- I really can't see it. Often times when people describe why, they point to Midna or "the atmosphere" or the story (which, imo, has many flaws). I personally find those to be shallow reasons, but to each their own. If I were to try and describe the pinnacle Zelda game to someone and my top reasons were: "The sidekick is the best and the atmosphere is great" ... those are basically nice details, not the core of the game itself. What I will say is, sometimes I also see people say that Twilight Princess is the best because of its dungeons. To me, that's a better reason, and I also agree that the dungeons are really good. Having replayed many Zelda games back-to-back recently, including Twilight Princess... it just doesn't really hit me to the same degree that the other 3D Zelda games do. Besides Midna and nice dungeons with a few stand-out bosses, the rest feels pretty average to me.
So for one, you miss the point of Ganondorf and Zant. Zant is supposed to come across as a blithering fool, he’s a fake king with no real power. As for Ganondorf and Midna, this game isn’t about saving Hyrule, it’s about saving Hyrule by saving the Twilight realm. Of course the focus is going to be on them. I don’t think the game is underrated merely because it’s considered one of the best games on a platform of absolute bangers in history, but I do think you’re being a bit unfair to the plot.
@@Queterra I understand Zant is supposed to be a blithering fool, but all the times we see him prior to his battle, he’s imposing and intimidating… only for that to be thrown out the window when he does a complete 180. The foolish and crazy aspect of him needed to be properly built instead of it coming out suddenly. I understand the story is about Midna, but Zelda and Ganondorf take a backseat and their characters aren’t as fleshed out or connected with Link compared to other titles. That being said, I would probably rank the story of Twilight Princess around #4 or #5 out of the whole series, which is pretty high, because Midna herself is amazing and carries the plot… but I can’t ignore the fact that outside of her, there are flaws.
@@WindMageMaster The story definitely just doesn’t click with you as does the character writing which is fine, i.e Zant. You’re describing why the writing is incredible, not bad lol
I also love this game but for not for its story or anything like that. I love this game becasue my brother used to do a challenge run which was 3 hearts, no skills, no bottles, no shield, not using items if not neccesary and permanent zora armour, i used to watch him play and always found it so cool. So once he had beaten it i tried it as my first time actually completing the game and ever since then ive always found TP to be incredibly fun. As a bit of a side note im currently doing an incredibly glitched run and barely got through sword and shield skip after 5 hours
Twilight Princess was my first Zelda game outside of Breath of the Wild. And even though Breath of the Wild is my favorite game of all time, it BARELY beats Twilight Princess. The atmosphere, the story, the characters; this game has made me laugh and cry too many times for me not to love it to pieces.
And third place is Minish Cap. Which is essentially a 2d Twilight Princess. Similar gameplay structure. Hidden skills. Unique arsenal. And even a unique antagonist
I loved this game. I never got to play it in its original format cause I bought it for the Wii and didn’t even know it was mirrored until years later , but I felt something was off about it visually, I never got the Wii U so I really do hope they release the HD version for the switch for the switch
Ah, yes, time flies. It was loved, hated and now loved again. It has to be this way I guess so people can make yt videos. xD Played through it three times in 2006 and 2007. Masterpiece for me. Always has been. I have other opinions on other Zelda games.
My top 2 games of all time are Twilight Princess and Red Dead Redemption II, I only got into Twilight Princess at the time of release cause a crush I had was playing it and I wanted something to talk about with her. Then the story got me so hard I forgot about my crush lmao 😂. Fantastic game, love every playthrough.
It's in the fishing hole store. If you look around the store, you'll see it on a shelf, then all you have to do is look directly at it, then you can start to play it.
TH-camrs and not calling something that actually popular and well like "underrated" challenged, fucking impossible! Whats next, Bloodborne is a slept on masterpiece?
Idk when I was a kid I loved the Zelda franchise. This was the first Zelda game I witnessed and also the first one I finished. It's my favorite. Maybe I'm blinded by nostalgia but I don't think any other entry I've played has topped TP and WW (I've never played OOT nor MM though) I love TP and WW's aesthetic and characters. I'd say TP is slightly better than WW in story, but again, I played them when I was a kid. And maybe this is why I did like BOTW and TOTK but I DON'T have them up in the same tier as TP and WW, because I'm older now and I'm no longer easily impressed. And, again, the aesthetics. I love the character designs of the (main) characters in TP, the dark fantasy-like designs and scenarios. Too bad no other Zelda looks like that (maybe MM but I haven't played it yet so I can't say). But I can't have an opinion about technical aspects of the game like the linearity/difficulty/gameplay (things people who don't like the game tend to pinpoint) because 1) it was my first game and I didn't know better, 2) nostalgia blinds me and I never saw a problem with it, 3) also I can't remember anything about the possible issues I could've had in the game.
Love Twilight Princess! I only have a few complaints, like the bulblins. They're okay, but they shoved moblins out of the game, and those are Zelda icons.
Honnestly, if a zelda game deserve a sequel, its twilight princess
Not really
A TH-camr that loves my favorite Zelda of ALLTIME? I subscribe.

I've met a surprising few who don't. She has so much personality I don't understand how some people don't like her, even if she is a little loopy lol
Agitha is great. Always found her amusing.
my favorite hidden skill is the mortal draw. especially when used against lizalfos, and ending it with the cool sword sheathing. chef’s kiss!
Oh my god mortal draw is straight up fire especially with the sword draw after. You have some good taste.
@@GCGBerserk you too! i love that you love my personal favorite zelda game 😊
The cool sword sheathing is honestly one of the best things/details about the game ;-D
I miss Link being a good lawnmower and the ability to run while swinging the sword. The later games just don't have an amazing lawnmower Link

Twilight princess isn’t underrated, it’s everybody’s favorite! People who prefers breath of the wild aren’t real Zelda fans
From my top 5 of just Zelda, I'd go with
1. Majora's Mask
2. Twilight Princess
3. Link Between Worlds
4. Spirit Tracks
5. Breath of the Wild
I got randomly suggested your video and seeing as Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda, I gave it a click. You really nailed your script on this, it sounds incredibly professional. Great vid

First it was in the world of Twilight Princess, but now, it's grown to its own thing. Twilight Princess will always hold a special place in my heart.
The mirror was created ONCE. And SOMETHING must have made someone aware of this other land. Maybe even MULTIPLE things. So we are sepparated, FOR NOW.
I have been hoping that someday we can explore more of the history and setting of the twilight realm, there is so much more potential with a sequel
Heck yeah brother! This game was my very first and i have completed it more times than i can count. Glad to see it get some praise!

What makes a game underrated? This game sold really well and has super high praise online.
Thank you for watching 😃
but compared to other zelda games? barely any recognition.
The game which has sold at least 10 million copies is surely is underrated.
no one every talks about it though, that's the point,it doesn't matter how many copies are sold,it's that no one ever talks about it,I also feel like it's underrated and unappreciated
@@eeveefennecfox it is one of the one most talked game in older Zelda fanbase and handheld games are faaar more underrated.
Okay if it’s so popular why didn’t it sell 11 million copies?
@@tman4264 that 1 million audience were far too busy playing that masterpiece called Sonic the hedgehog (2006).
@@eeveefennecfox IDK if you've been living under a rock or if you're new to the community but its one of the most talked about games in the franchise right up there with OOT. Especially ever since TOTK got released, TP has been praised and glazed nonstop.
This is like the 50th essay video on how its underrated. Its probably not that underrated lol.
I was about to say the exact same thing.
I’ve been willing to die on this hill for years. Great video man
Thank you twilight princess is such a special game
See Twilight Princess had moments that annoyed me. But overall i agree with you about being the best game (at least to me) in the series. It's my personal favourite Zelda game. (I found Breath of the Wild to be boring, to be honest.)
I love the atmosphere, i love the story, i love the characters, and i love this version of Hyrule.
I love every Zelda game for different reasons, but the dungeons, atmosphere, characters, gameplay, music, and especially the story hit me in a particular way that I can't describe other than just saying it is my favorite.
Roll GOAL lol I love that mini game. near the fishing hole. twilight princess was my favorite Zelda game because it seemed so user friendly.
It was the best selling game in the franchise until botw lol.
No. It’s definitely not underrated. Ask any Zelda fan who didn’t start with BotW what their favorite games are. Guarantee TP will make top 2
It’s so much more fun than the new games
I seriously hope to see this game come on the switch one day I play this back on the GameCube many years ago I'm still to this day I love it
I see people commenting this under multiple videos but, you are *truly* underrated
This is my favorite Zelda, everything about it is my reason for loving it 🔺️
🔺️ 🔺️
Still waiting for a Switch port of the HD release.
@@GCGBerserk I’m happy to see that your favorite game is getting more eyes on it 👍
My all time favorite video game is GTA San Andreas. Twilight Princess is still a close second to this day. Both of the Red Dead Redemption games are my 3rd favorite
No offense this whole overview feels like awkwardly reading a PDF review, I dont feel like any love, passion, or interest is conveyed through the video; I dont know if this is intended, or if an impartial review is the vibe you're going for, but the tone is what makes it feel that way for me, you mentioned you loved the gameplay however your pitch and voice feels completely scripted and like youre reading stuff for a press conference, try to loosen up a bit
Also love the helmsplitter too btw
Twilight Princess probably has the best combat of any Zelda game.
there is 100% no doubt about it that Wind Waker and twilight princess are two of the most underrated games and they deserve remakes or ports, but they need to be made more available, especially on one of Nintendo’s consoles. They had the best gameplay my opinion.
Yeah truly an underrated title my duude . Absolutely a masterpiece and my favorite Zelda or very much top 2. 💯
"I played every Zelda game, even these two!🤮" - shows the classic NES games, as if he's talking about the CDi ones.
I love this game so much 😢
I'm glad you uploaded this, I feel like I've watched every other bit of twilight princess content on here already
I need a Switch release soooo bad
Its my favorite too, and for the same reason you mentioned: the time it was released. Haha wolf link!!
Twilight Princess isn't underrated though, as it's the best Zelda game ever made!
Under rated? It’s considered only second to OoT.
This game has its problems, but I love playing it. The combat, exploring, puzzles, I just love being in it
This game is way underrated, it's my favorite Zelda game of all time
I doubt Zelda TP is severely underrated. I can't fathom why so many videos like this exist. Is it bkuz we still haven't gotten a remaster on Switch?
Yup
Plus the music in the HD remake is still midi. We need the real remake.
Overrated*
It's so unnecessarily long and painfully repetitive. The story fell off a cliff when it forced ganondorf in for no no reason
When i read the title my mind went like; "Wait what really?!" And so i had to see the case before in detail!
Twilight Princess is the best video game of all time. There's really no contender in my eyes.
Considering that I've only played both the legend of zelda Twilight Princess and the HD remaster, I would agree with you that it is underrated. The legend of zelda Twilight Princess is the only legend of zelda game that has interested me enough in order for me to play it.
Always loved this game. Always.
While not my all-time favorite game, Twilight Princess is my favorite game in the Zelda series, which is my favorite game series. The intro takes too long, but once it starts moving, this game cooks!!
played twilight princess when i was 7 and i made it into my entire personality
lmao let me tell you it molded me into an absolute nerd when I was younger, and I am still feeling the effects of that decision
I really ain’t reading all that
@@tman4264 Cool!
I’ve been trying to get around to twilight but I’m currently playing skyward sword and ocarina.
Oooh those are amazing ones too. Have fun.
Twilight Princess was my first Zelda game outside of Breath of the Wild. And even though Breath of the Wild is my favorite game of all time, it BARELY beats Twilight Princess. The atmosphere, the story, the characters; this game has made me laugh and cry too many times for me not to love it to pieces.
good video mate! you earned urself a sub and a like
Sir you have gained a follower. TP is my number one. My second favorite is an albeit unpopular opinion but deserving nonetheless, Spirit Tracks.
And third place is Minish Cap. Which is essentially a 2d Twilight Princess. Similar gameplay structure. Hidden skills. Unique arsenal. And even a unique antagonist
Just because you have great fondness and nostalgia for TP it doesn't make it underrated.
TP was such a slog I had to force myself to finish it.
My favorite Zelda game
Honestly this is one of the few times I've ever said this: I agree with everything in this video.
One of my favorites, i wish they'd come out with a new way to play it already
I swear that spirit ganon has an afro
I do find the game a bit slow in the beginning but yeah it’s a good game.
This video was really interesting I always like people talking about twilight princess
I dare you to take a shot everytime he says "itself"
It’s just something else. Idk wether nintendo is still able to make a game like this again
Awesome video, TP is my favorite as well. Where the hell is that marble minigame? I've played this game so many times and never seen it lol
When you mentioned items i was hoping you'd mention Ball n chain. One of my favorite item in the series
Idk when I was a kid I loved the Zelda franchise. This was the first Zelda game I witnessed and also the first one I finished. It's my favorite. Maybe I'm blinded by nostalgia but I don't think any other entry I've played has topped TP and WW (I've never played OOT nor MM though)
I love TP and WW's aesthetic and characters.
May the gods watch over you and your channel sir
Love Twilight Princess! I only have a few complaints, like the bulblins. They're okay, but they shoved moblins out of the game, and those are Zelda icons.
You have your love for Link, I have my Love for YOSHI
I feel like Twilight Princess his highly rated among Zelda fans but not general gamers who don’t know much about the Zelda games
I love this game
