Thank you for doing this series, especially starting with Twilight Princess. For the last location, in the Sacred Grove, its said that that area was where the old Hyrule Castle town was in OoT. Where you fight the Skull Kid in the new area before heading to the Temple of Time, you will see an old fountain, which is the fountain that was shown in the center of Castle Town in OoT. As to why it was moved, even around 100 years later, is still a mystery. Also, Snowpeak Ruins and Arbiters Grounds are the BEST dungeons ever in the Zelda series!
Great video! Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are tied for my favorite Zelda games of all time so I’m so glad you went over it! Also, I just realized something. In the peaceful beginning of Twilight Princess, when you’re helping around the village, the invasion on the castle is probably taking place at the same time.
I’m happy Zelda youtubers are going back to talking about the classic Zelda games. That tells me that fans want the classic formula back like I do, that gives me hope it can return. I honestly wish the whole open world thing was dropped completely, but I’m fine if they fuse both concepts somehow
I always liked how (given the history in this branch) TP Hyrule seems to have atrophied. Because they had no big bad to fight (because OoT Link prevented disaster) Castle Town seems more opulent, and the guards are pathetic. Various mega structures like the Bridge of Hylia are falling into disrepair, and possible military outposts at the far edges of the Kingdom like Snowpeak are abandoned. Meanwhile, the Gorons have advanced their mining capabilities, and the Zora appear to have been militarized. The Gerudo (who worked with Ganondorf) appear to have been utterly displaced as a people long ago, and the desert is controlled by bands of monsters.
HOW TF DO I GET HERE WITHIN 10 MINUTES EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I was downstairs and I came up here to do some crocheting and whatever so I checked my phone and saw a hyrule gamer notification. It’s insane. Good thing I’m obsessed with these videoooos 🤩
Here's a fun piece of trivia, in the Twilight Princess manga Ashe tells Link that her and her father loved in the Snowpeak Ruins' mansion and that it was not only a defensive fort for guarding the mountains but a place of refuge for the royal family in case the main castle became to dangerous for them to stay.
This is just a theory I thought of a while back. The Temple of Time was likely relocated after the events of Young Link snitching on Ganondorf. When Zelda tells the King how the Temple of Time was a key to the Sacred Realm, he ordered that the temple be moved. The Royal Family used the Ocarina of Time to teleport the temple far into the woods so Ganondorf and other evil folks could never find it. Or at least so it wasn't so obvious. The stone guardian was extra security. Edit: If they didn't use the Ocarina, then the Sages could have moved it for the same reason.
I'm really liking the series! Twilight Princess has been on my list of games to play for a while, but after hearing about all the lore and story makes me want to see it for myself soooo bad. Also, I would love to see a video on Skyward Sword locations down the road!
I really liked the video, the overall soothing atmosphere plus talking about my favorite Zelda game was lovely, well done! About a next installment, maybe Skyward Sword would be a good pick, it's locations are also dense with lore and interesting characters
Pretty sure its been longer than 100 years, but 150-200 at most. The change and expansion of geography and architecture of Gerudo Desert, Lake Hylia, Zora's Domain, Goron City and their respective dungeons. What became of OoT's Hyrule Castle and Kakariko Village looking to be what is now Sacred Grove and the Hidden village.
This was such a well made video! Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game to date and I love hearing other fans talk about it! I really think the locations in this game are fantastic. So excited to watch your other videos on this! :D
11:16 Still weird that in the City when you look below it there is just endless Sky. Is the City in another Realm like the Twilight Realm? Or was it just Gamecube Limitations as to why we couldn't see Hyrule below us. 19:35 The funny thing is that had the Sages not done that then the Hero of Time would have gotten to face Ganondorf again.
I am so happy about this!!! I've been wanting g someone to do some twilight princess focused lore for awhile I was beginning to think all hope was lost!!
As for the ruins of the Temple of Time, there are other ruins just before, I think its the original Castle Town of Ocarina of Time. Getting to the Temple of Time, you traverse quite far away from Faron to get to Ocarina's Castle Town ruins, and Temple of Time. I don't think its in Faron, but well past Faron. Even the Great Plateu in BotW is just past Hylia then you're in Faron Woods. Also the war before Twilight Princess could explain why the original Castle, Town and Temple were abandoned after being destroyed in a battle or seige.
Finally finished Twilight Princess for the first time last night after getting it on Wii U with amiibo in 2016 😂 finding your video was a treat 😁keep it up (Snowpeak and City in the sky best locations)
Having somewhat recently replayed it, I seem to recall some of the dialogue with the sages implying that the Twilight Realm was once the Sacred Realm, I might be misremembering it, but if that is the case, it could potentially mean that the Twilight Realm in Twilight Princess and Dark World in A Link to the Past are actually the same realm. (albeit different areas of that realm) This is also plausible when considering the fact that both realms are primarily accessed via mirror (well that and portals that Ganon started opening in ALttP, but he had the full Triforce in that one, so it made sense for him to be able to do that sort of thing) It's also worth noting that both games happen pretty close together on the timeline, just in different branches. Both realms also share the common trait of transforming their inhabitants over time. I'm not saying they're for sure canonically the same place, but I feel like there's enough common ground that they could be, and I like the idea of them being linked because it would open the possibility that there could be more than one potential way to access the realm, which could open the possibility for it to come back in a later game... I mean I doubt Nintendo would do that at this point, but it'd be cool if they did. A series on the connections between the games would be cool, not necessarily the official timeline connections, but the implied continuity tie ins connecting different titles together... like the timeline theory videos people made before Hyrule Historia was a thing... Am I the only one who kinda misses those days?
4:49 We know what is going on with the mural. It was just the HD artist having fun making things up. It's essentially non-canon, and the artists have said so.
Twilight Princess is probably my favorite Zelda game. I’ve recently got it on the Wii and I actually love the motion controls, especially because I’ve never had a GameCube.
I sometimes think maybe at the end of Zelda games the entire triforce is effectively completed under one will so maybe they make a wish to restore some of the damage done by the big bad we defeated. Maybe that’s another reason so many weird things change between games in fun ways, it’s not a perfect reversion in time as this would restore the baddies too, so they just try to restore the greatest destruction, but to do this it changes things, like instant completion button on a reconstruction project, you’d never get a perfect recreation of what was lost, similar, but unique. Maybe I think too much. 😂
fun thought: the Occa stay away from Hyrule because people mix them up with Cuccos. They got sick of being asked to fix all the ills of the world, and people trying to eat them
I love the Legend of Zelda series quite possibly a bit too much, and my wife not only is fully aware but loves it and likes to send me anything she may happen across and knows full and well that if a new game comes out, we better start saving up for it cuz we're getting it day 1. That said, Twilight Princess is by far my absolute favorite. The art style, Links design, Zeldas design, Ganondorfd design, the land of Hyrule being vast and so much exploration to be done, on top of ot being one of the longest in the franchise, AND even speedrunners can just barely get sub 3 hours and lets be real, Midna is the best companion any of the Links have gotten. I have so much love for this game and it brings me so much joy when others get to enjoy it. I was also able to convince my wife to name our daughter Midna, and shes a little stinker too 😝
A little unrelated but I just realized something during this video. Link had the triforce at the end of Ocarina of Time, so that means the cutscene of Ganondorf's execution must be happening at the very same time Link heads off to Termina in Majora's Mask since then the Triforce is split apart again as he leaves Hyrule and goes back to Ganondorf. This also explains why he was so easily captured since he didn't gain any special powers until the very last second. Also could this also be why the Hero's Shade is so full of regret? Definitely fits perfectly if he realized what happened after MM.
The murals in Hyrule castle have been explained from what I know. They were put in by another company for the HD version without any lore in mind. At least that’s what I heard
Snowpeak Ruins is my favorite dungeon in Twilight Princess due to the Level Design and Mystery of the lore. Did you know that there’s a HD Texture Pack for TP?
would be really cool to keep this going with the older games tbh, specially Link’s Awakening, Link Between Worlds, and or the DS games BotW/TotK already has plenty of content
I would like to believe that the time period TP Link travels back to where the temple of time is still standing is the ocarina of time period more specifically the 7 year time period where Hero of Time Link is sealed (thats why the master sword is missing from the pedestal and TP link puts his own in to open up the dungeon). So TP Link clears the dungeon in his ancestors absence and then when the hero of time was unsealed and met Rauru thats why he got the medaillon of light for free.
When the game first came out, the time line wasn’t established and seriously believed Nintendo made direct sequels. I remember thinking this version of Hyrule was the one founded by Tetra and Link after WW. Its how I justified everything being so familiar but different at the same time 🤣
I mean more than likely with all the ruins around its likely that the ruins are parts of the old castle town as the forest seems to have grown rather out of control.
I don't know why and this kinda sounds a little far fetched, but I think a yeti race once lived in the Snowpeak mountains where they built a fortress to defend themselves from enemies with the help of hylians similar to arbitar grounds , but many years later as it began to decay one of the last yetis began to settle here the same one we see in the game which they called it a mansion because it's where they are going to live. Edit: the armor in the dungeon looks like the shape of a yeti
Maybe im wrong but i remember it being a similar plaza to the one in ocarina of times hyrule castle town in the sacred grove, where you defeat the skull kid after chasing it, in my head canonn the sacred grove its the old castle town ruins leading to the temple of time
Snow peak likely correlates to the Hebra and tabantha regions of tears of the kingdom and breath the wild era hyrule and I think it would be cool if we actually saw the yeti in the ladder games
I love this versions of Lake Hylia the best. It feels more grand than the ocarina of time counterpart but the breath of the wild counterpart feels meh it doesn’t have the charm that this version presents. I do love they included the great bridge of Hylia over the lake but this is the best version of the lake. Zora’s domain here is tied with its breath of the wild counterpart for me I love the lake in this one but the city in the breath of the wild game. Zelda’s castle in both games are amazing and feels very grand. I love the sanctuary in breath of the wild in design but the thrown room still feels grand.
Funny, I'm playing through Twilight Princess on the gamecube for the first time ever and I see this video 😅 Think I'll come back to this video later after I beat the game. Lakebed temple has been kicking my ass
Amazing content… only ever played TP on the wii….. I’m absolutely desperate to Play it in HD. Preying we get it on switch at some point. Never had a wii U… just give it too us Nintendo please ! ☹️
Maybe it's just because of how the game is set up, but I thought the Breath of the Wild Hyrule Castle was bigger than Twilight Princess's. I love both versions, but I've spent a lot more time in the Breath of the Wild version and there's probably places I haven't been. I actually found a new place a few days ago, and I have well over 100 hours in this game. Twilight Princess on the other hand I feel like I've seen all of.
Wasn't it confirmed somewhere that Stallord is the remains of Volvagia from OoT? I dunno maybe I'm just going crazy but I could swear i remember that from a Zeltik vid

I was also able to convince my wife to name our daughter Midna, and shes a little stinker too 😝
imagine this Hyrule castle in the open world style of Botw (yes, I know Twilight Princes is open world but Botw has more exploration)
I personally love Snowpeak, especially because of Yeto, Yeta, and also the snowboarding.
Twilight Princess is a great Legend of Zelda game!
The murals in Hyrule castle have been explained from what I know. They were put in by another company for the HD version without any lore in mind. At least that’s what I heard
Well I'm glad you're doing a video that isn't TOTK related.
Always glad to see more content on my favourite game
Happy to provide Twilight Princess content :)
Snowpeak Ruins is my favorite dungeon in Twilight Princess due to the Level Design and Mystery of the lore. Did you know that there’s a HD Texture Pack for TP?
would be really cool to keep this going with the older games tbh, specially Link’s Awakening, Link Between Worlds, and or the DS games
BotW/TotK already has plenty of content
I would like to believe that the time period TP Link travels back to where the temple of time is still standing is the ocarina of time period more specifically the 7 year time period where Hero of Time Link is sealed (thats why the master sword is missing from the pedestal and TP link puts his own in to open up the dungeon). So TP Link clears the dungeon in his ancestors absence and then when the hero of time was unsealed and met Rauru thats why he got the medaillon of light for free.
This was great, I would love to see more of these.
If you do more, please do Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past. I love those games. I still play them to this day.
When the game first came out, the time line wasn’t established and seriously believed Nintendo made direct sequels. I remember thinking this version of Hyrule was the one founded by Tetra and Link after WW. Its how I justified everything being so familiar but different at the same time 🤣
4:42 Jabba The Hutt on the far right
how timely! i just finished a twilight princess HD replay
Ay awesome, hope it was a good one!
I mean more than likely with all the ruins around its likely that the ruins are parts of the old castle town as the forest seems to have grown rather out of control.
This channel is gold❤️
I’d forgotten the insane number of (very high quality) dungeons in this game.
he said "it has this mysterious blue twilight energry running through it"
twice
As always, great video, thanks ! Thumbs up !
Many thanks!
Best game ever, love the video, my Zelda Instagram account is slowly turning into a Twilight Princess account, I'm always drawn to it.
I don't blame Impaz. She's got a whole town, might as well have just as many cats!!!
Maybe im wrong but i remember it being a similar plaza to the one in ocarina of times hyrule castle town in the sacred grove, where you defeat the skull kid after chasing it, in my head canonn the sacred grove its the old castle town ruins leading to the temple of time
Can someone tell me the name of the backround song at the start. While he talks about Hyrule castle?
I like this series! I would like to see more!
15:49 I think you read that sentence twice😅
Snow peak likely correlates to the Hebra and tabantha regions of tears of the kingdom and breath the wild era hyrule and I think it would be cool if we actually saw the yeti in the ladder games
Id love to see you do Ocarina of time next
The voting is open for the next episode, check out my community tab!
Let's gooo ^^
on to the Great new series.
Thanks for making it
Stay awesome ^^
Thank you, much appreciated!
It has the blue Twilight energy running through it
it has this mysterious blue twilight energy running through it it has this mysterious blue twilight energy running through it
@12:51 i would literally fall asleep to that track... how dare you 😒
Funny, I'm playing through Twilight Princess on the gamecube for the first time ever and I see this video 😅
Think I'll come back to this video later after I beat the game. Lakebed temple has been kicking my ass
Amazing content… only ever played TP on the wii….. I’m absolutely desperate to
Play it in HD.
I just realized that Skull Kid is playing on Deku pipes
Wasn't it confirmed somewhere that Stallord is the remains of Volvagia from OoT?
I dunno maybe I'm just going crazy but I could swear i remember that from a Zeltik vid
my brain hyperfixating on the windows and remembering artclass from 15 years ago: isn't the castle barok and not gothik?
we need a part 2
