There's nothing quite like roast lamb, and using just 5 ingredients this tender, juicy recipe puts the fun back into the cooking process. If that's not enough I've got a brilliant way to use any leftover hot cross buns. Combine with double cream, chocolate, vanilla extract and jam, and you've got a downright indulgent Easter pudding!

Today I made the bread pudding....with boring white bread but added several type of raisins, dried cranberries and so on to compensate....it was SOOOO good. It swelled up in the oven like a souffle and stayed like that. People were floored by the taste and softness

This is exactly the roast and pudding I had planned to make for Easter dinner today! Was so pleased to see your video pop up when I was about to start cooking (I was just gonna wing it with the stale hot cross bun/bread and butter pudding thing but was great to see what you did!

Now have fun cleaning that charred oven rack. Also, don't forget - always drop 20c in your oven if it's fan-assisted. Jamie's said 180c, so make that 160c. 200c start, not 220. If you drop your oven to 180c for 1.15 hrs you'll overcook it for sure, should be 160c.

@@neil_nobby69 Even after boiling for 10-12 mins they need an hour minimum in a oven around 190-200c to brown and crisp up.

The hot cross bun pudding reminds me of Jamie's panettone bread pudding from years back, but to follow this recipe to the letter, well that means my travelling 3,000 miles to purchase 3 British eggs. LOL

Did you burn the roast potatoes then because it's doesn't take 1hr 15 mins to cook them.

    • @sush139
      @sush139 ปีที่แล้ว

@@neil_nobby69 No! First you roast the meat for about 30 mins in the grill tray and then add the vegetables after that. You place the goat leg amidst the vegetables on a baking tray, cover it with foil and cook for 1 hour.
After adding the vegetables if you keep it exposed for 1 hour, then they will certainly burn. ...Jamie's team posted this video after our party was over. I used an older recipe from his website.

I really wish I liked lamb.. to me it’s just as disgusting as liver, all coriander and lemongrass.
To me lamb actually taste like really wet woolen socks hanging by the fireplace to dry😥😥😥
It looks so good though , so I find it sad that I can’t stand it, not even the smell of it it my house…
We can’t buy hot cross buns over here in Norway either , I like them very much and have made them a few times, but no one else in my family like them.
I think I’ll make this bread pudding with ordinary raisin buns . I can’t stand chocolate in any kind of cake, cookie or dessert either , except ordinary chocolate pudding with custard and whipped cream.
But that will be easy to cut out.maybe add a little more jam 😀
I think my version will be amazing too😊
Thanks for being an great inspiration!!

I honestly believe the animals are more loving and less violent than human beings. They are so innocent and gentle.

So I'm confused. Why do you prepare such delicious vegan recipes and then you have a vegan's worst nightmare ... leg of lamb! I love you Jamie Oliver but as a vegan I just can't watch you anymore. I'm truly sad that you can't decide on which audience you wish to please.
