Been going through a lot of your vids. Thanks. Really good stuff and practical skills to work on. Lol, I couldn’t help but think of those poor drivers wondering if you gonna break in time.
I notice you have a full suspension bike. Do these drills work with hardtails as well? Are there any differences in technique with full suspension vs hardtail?
No difference at all. As a matter of fact, riders on hardtail bikes usually jump the furthest when we do this in group classes. The technique is exactly the same.
They are unrelated. Even though the front end needs to come up for a hop, this doesn't happen from a hip shift like it does with a manual. It comes more from preloading. There is a similar essence to the movement, so it's a great question. You don't have to be able to ride a manual to bunny hop, or be able to hop to do a manual. We will be doing a 'hopping' episode really soon!
Best teaching online without fancy entertaining moves. Really sincere all out teaching real methods generously. Discerning people may notice.
Wow we were so honored to read this - thank you!
Notice what?
You are quite a big fella, Simon. Awesome to see you do that j-hop to gap that curb.
Very useful drill when you don't have a board, thanks 👍

HA! Was fun to mess with them:).
Awesome stuff!
Thanks for dropping us a note, and glad you're enjoying it!
Would like to suggest a video idea; maintaining contact with pedals, or avoiding slipping off of pedals.
Yes awesome idea! Thank you for suggesting this
Great Call. We'll make one!
Point your toes down toward the ground during the lift phase of the hop.
Amen. The scar on my shins would agree.
You mention that Linnea already showed us how to build a feature board. Do you have a link to that video? I've love to make one!
Nice hop simon..

What's the relationship between hopping and manual? Do you have to manual decently before you can hop over things, just to get that front lift? Thanks
