    It's great when you know how to do a move, like a Bunny Hop, but go back & watch a well-directed video on the subject to refresh on key fundamentals. I ride clipped in, so bunny hopping is like cheating now & you tend to lose focus on fundamentals, such as weight transfer (since in most use cases, you can rely on your front wheel to come up & the use of the clips/reverse squatting to bring the rear tire up). The extra weight transfer/preloading allows you to fully trampoline upward, whereas making your clips/legs do all the work brings you up less. Thanks for a good stay-at-home drill to practice Phil!

    • @SkillsWithPhil
      @SkillsWithPhil  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Think about it in this way: Jumping [without a bike] on a trampoline vs jumping on firm ground. When jumping on flat ground, you still crouch down before pushing off the ground. When jumping on a trampoline, you need to drop down into a crouching position which will stretch the netting and spring before you jump upwards. The only difference is really in how you get into a crouching position whether on or off a bike. Hopefully that makes sense
