Karma: the concept of consequence, this all there is to karma. Either in this life or your next. Dharma: the responsibilities that you should chose to take according to your Karma. If you decided to have a child. Good parenting is your dharma Rebirth: the concept that soul is indestructible and immortal. Karma and Rebirth explain the different starting points of all living beings.
The word karma means action. Good karma is literally making good decisions. Pretending karma's like magic is a total cop out. The best way to get bad karma is to deny that you control it.
Karma is the “emergent impulse” , due to the sum total of ones past actions. Your karma is what it means or feels like “to be you”. And your decision making comes out of that. The practise of yoga fixes those emergent impulses , to bring you on a path to Dharma . My simplest explanation for karma , yoga and dharma :)

There’s an amazing book about a hypnotherapist who was originally an atheist treating people and when they were under *deep* hypnosis he would tell them to go to the source of their unexplainable pain/depression/etc. and the first time he did this a man (who had a pain in his side and after many tests the doctors told him it was psychological) immediately started describing being bayoneted in a war. The hypnotherapist who was a minor historian asked him to describe what he was wearing, etc. and realized exactly what battle it was (which was hundreds of years ago). This hypnotherapist, who again was atheist this time, didn’t know what to make of this, and tried to ignore it. Some time later with a separate client the same thing happened concerning her depression, except she started describing being with her “soul group” between lives. This hypnotherapist went on to dedicate his life to finding out more about our lives between lives, documenting thousands of separate cases (without leading questions or anything of the sort). The most incredible thing is the continuity in what all of them said. It’s absolutely incredible. For those of you who know how powerful & consistent deep hypnosis is, this is an amazing read. It’s called “Journey of Souls”

As far a experiencing "we are not our body", it could be an unsolved challenge, unless one takes the practical approach..... the change of body EVEN IN THIS LIFETIME is pretty obvious. We had an infant body that changed to a youth body, then middle age, etc. But think deeply if we ourselves feel we are not the same person? No, in fact we can remember some of our past body pastimes, traumas, dramas, relationships, and then understand how our tiny soul has activated our body all along. It has been with us. There is no school, college or university in human society to study the soul. We try all our lives to study the material body. He got some of the points incorrect 1.Dharma according to Hindu Mythology is one's duty to maintain balance in the universe, it is what you are destined to be 2.Karma is a summation of the good and bad deeds you did while reaching your Dharm(Destination) 3. Think of it as travelling to a new continent that is your destination(Dharma). How you get there airplane, car, walking, boat is your journey (Karma).....this is oversimplified version 4.The main goal of hinduism is to escape this cycle of Rebirth-karma-dharma and become one with the Universe (Moksha). Not to be confused with Nirvana(Enlightenment)
@@Max-xl7ei I will try my best to explain it simply but please remember definitions of moksha and Nirvana might change according to which school of thought you follow. That being said 1. When you attain Moksha you become one with Universe as in you become the universe itself(think of it as being omnipresent). Norse mythology has defined it as "Odinforce", an all seeing eye.Dimensions don't matter to you 2. Some people especially ones I follow say Nirvana is first step to Moksha. During Nirvana you detach yourself from the reality and break certain barriers that hold the human consciousness(Hyper Consciousness maybe). People who attain Nirvana are said to have done unnatural things according to myths e.g (Levitation, Impossible healing,Climbing mountains in less than 5 steps). Jesus Christ is said to have achieved Nirvana according to some Indian scholars suggesting by the feats he achieved and so did Buddha.Human emotions and attachments don't matter once you achieved Nirvana but you still are part of the birth-death cycle.

So, theoretically if every one only did with with proper reasons and good in their heart that would be dharma. but people are stuck in their situations to rise above these constrains we would need to sacrifice a lot we cant , at-least we all cant hence we are full of $hit. I feel like Joe confuses himself sometimes by A. overthinking the simple things B. Listening to the views and thoughts of others and not painting the picture for himself first.. Life is meant to be felt by whats inside, dont let the outside world dumb you down or blind you. No one knows "you" but "you". Its up to you to uncover that knowledge.
Breaking it down - Karma is what has happened to you, emotions, thoughts, actions throughout your life which shaped your life as it is today and which will shape your life (think about why are you how you are). Samskaras are these points in life like major emotions/points that you remember (like someone bullying you at school or something happened to you or some desired in your life that changed you or that registered in your head which in a way shaped your KARMA. Hinduism and other religion based on these theories talk about reincarnation which is basically you taking birth again to take care of you samskaras. So all the yogis and Sadhus want to get rid of these samskaras or to attain nirvana so they are free of this birth-death cycle.
Why can't reincarnation be just the way life is, why do people assume the soul returns from somewhere to finish some deed or learn something, so what about the animals and insects are they reincarnating? Why is there some reason, why can't it be like planting a tree, once the conditions are right it happens full stop no complicated reason , just two entities of the opp sex having sex and boom it happens a new life is born , go out plant a tree watch it grow and die and plant another if you live long enough ,it's simple if you don't plant that tree it doesn't exist.

@jigger jones congratulations, you just earned a bad karma point✌️
The word karma means action. Good karma is literally making good decisions. Pretending karma's like magic is a total cop out. The best way to get bad karma is to deny that you control it.
Not really karma don't have a exact translation in english the closes things is decision but that's not really accurate
No that is not what it means who told you that
Karma just means action and reaction. Vikarma is bad action an reaction. Akarma is action without any reaction at all positive or negative.

This is not even new concept in Western society. The knowledge is fragmented in different ways. Unfortunately a lot of it falls under bad names of occult.

Krishna or God is absolutely going to be met up with at the end of the material body for everyone, atheist or believer.
That's why we are do conditioned and confused about how to handle higher wisdom.
It's a gradual process. Don't worry too much, if you just give it some attention you'll get the mercy.

1.Dharma according to Hindu Mythology is one's duty to maintain balance in the universe, it is what you are destined to be
2.Karma is a summation of the good and bad deeds you did while reaching your Dharm(Destination)
3. Think of it as travelling to a new continent that is your destination(Dharma). How you get there airplane, car, walking, boat is your journey (Karma).....this is oversimplified version
4.The main goal of hinduism is to escape this cycle of Rebirth-karma-dharma and become one with the Universe (Moksha). Not to be confused with Nirvana(Enlightenment)

Explain the difference between enlightenment and one with the universe please
@@Max-xl7ei I will try my best to explain it simply but please remember definitions of moksha and Nirvana might change according to which school of thought you follow. That being said
1. When you attain Moksha you become one with Universe as in you become the universe itself(think of it as being omnipresent). Norse mythology has defined it as "Odinforce", an all seeing eye.Dimensions don't matter to you

@ benefits of being Apex predictors @ the top of the food chain willi boy... we humans are also full of that. Lol

So, theoretically if every one only did with with proper reasons and good in their heart that would be dharma.

I was showing a dude I met who'd never seen Breaking Bad, ( I know..). But, I showed him the scene where Marie slaps the shit out of Skyler. Breaking Bad: good cinema, huh? The pizza spinning up to the roof top!
Jesus Christ, Marie, they're minerals!
😁
Thank you thank you thank you...joe and rag .I am from south africa my name is bertrand and i love this clip
Everyone read Dr. Michael Newton’s book the Journey of Souls. This is a book of incredible information coming from 3000 different people over 20 years, from the subconscious/superconscious state, detailing the life in between lives. Interesting read.
Just bought it on audible. Thank you
I’m so blessed to have my son I know that’s my good KARMA 💙
Who your son becomes will definitely be a huge part of your Karma.
Ashish Shrivastava i think she meant she's blessed to have her own kid not specifically the gender of the kid but who knows lol
no..... it's bad karma, because now you have one more attachment and objectively a burden to carry. you literally missed the point. yes you may experience love because of that attachment, but you will also know suffering. do not try to justify the thotery is all i'm saying. 😏
@@TheGhostOperative not exactly bad karm, but a slower path
its called 'grihastha', many couple take this path, few go for Sanyas, maybe next birth
That's cute
Never think you’re lucky to have what you have. Your ancestors either fought or didn’t fight to put you where you are today
Thats exactly what collective karma is.
I remember few years back me and one of my roommates were riding on a scooty and two guys started following us and eve teasing us and few seconds later they took turn ......and then they had a severe accident....That particular day I realised Karma is a real

This is why Hinduism is beautiful philosophy. Buddhism is a branch of Hinduism. It's very spiritual in nature.
Buddhism is not a branch of Hinduism, really. Buddhism itself came into being by rejecting Vedas. Jainism too.
@@ImranKhan-iv8ut They have shared parallel beliefs that have existed side by side, but also differences. I went to study with Monks in India. I have studied Eastern philosophy for the past 17 years There is a reason Hinduism and Buddhism have same roots. In Hinduism, one can follow the Buddha and still be a Hindu. There are many paths to the same ultimate destination. That's the beauty of the Indian philosophiess like Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, they are philosophies and never were these codified doctrines. They all do not seek to convert because that concept only exists in Abrahamic religions like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. That's why I left Christianity. That's also the reason my wife left Islam. We both practice a Hinduism and Buddhism philosophies. It has brought us much peace. This is also why much of the world is also adopting the Eastern philosophies of thinking. They are more about introspection and spirituality. 🕉️
@@bigdogstatus83 Yes I'm aware of it. I'm an Indian and also an ex-muslim. I study Philosophy and Literature. And coincidentally I'm studying religions deeply currently.. I do agree about the freedom of choice and acceptance of plurality within Hinduism. But what I was pointing to is that the very existence of Buddhism and Jainism (also Sikhism) came about by rejecting Vedas and the excessive focus on rituals and sacrifices that dominated Hindu world. I am reading Gita and Upanishads currently, and it has amazing and profound insights into the nature of reality and humans. Rich philosophical thoughts, indeed. And yes Buddhism and Hinduism do have parallel thoughts, but so do Platonism and many other Philosophies/sets of beliefs that have existed throughout time and space in history. It has to do with the nature of human and human thought and inquiry. It is the very core of Perennial Philosophy so it makes sense why there are similarities. But it is still true that Buddhism and Jainism were unorthodox/atheistic as they opposed the dominance of Vedas and Hinduism.
@akshay Viswambharan Exactly! Those religions have been the cause of bloodshed for generations! That is why I follow eastern philosophies of Hinduism and Buddhism.
@@ImranKhan-iv8ut I agree with you brother. I would say that many Indians and Hindus also reject the ritualistic and dogmatic practices. Many just practice the deeply introspective and spiritual nature of Hinduism. I have many Indian friends that don't care for the exterior layers and only believe in the philosophical teaching.
I'm going to have to watch this full interview.
I have had a an overall good but extremely challenging life so far, mind body soul and material. I was born with an illness that has punished every aspect of my life and held me back every step of the way from me achieving true happiness and potential. Despite this I always seem to come out on top, although damaged. I tend to believe in previous lives and karma/collective karma. I'd love to know what life I led in a previous life, I think I have succeeded in becoming more enlightened and a better person, whatever my previous life may have been. Regardless, I now have the best gift of all, a wonderful daughter, my goal in life now is to make sure she is happy, safe and enlightened.
It's a feeling for me. When I hear this theory it just makes sense and explains a lot.
I had a very near death experience too long to go into. I was in a coma for almost a month and I saw beings that were telling me "there is nothing to be afraid of" and "you can be reborn if you choose too" they said i could be reborn in a decade and in that place it would seem like minutes.

One of the best I've ever seen
Life is a puzzle. I also feel that everything happens for a reason. Some to wake you up or to teach you lesson so you won’t do it again or to protect you.
The lesson may not be a punishment type lesson, its just a lesson about how the world works.
Huge facts
Santo Cruz, so if your daughter is raped on her way to school, you're going to tell her that everything happens for a reason? "Everything happens for a reason" is an opinion, not a fact.
this is a great explanation if you can't deal with the endless pain that some people go through in their life
Raghu is the first foreigner who seems to have understood Hinduism and the spirituality within…well done…most people including we native Hindu’s won’t understand this level and depth.
Dear Joe,
Please have Jaggi Vasudev on your show to have a good insightful conversation
that guy has too much ego to have a two way conversation.
@@pujanadhikari547 that meaning?
Nope, America does not need a fake word juggling criminal in disguise.
He is indicted for murder..
He can fool those who are fools.
Wonder if he's a Gemini ♊
In my opinion, this should be one of the most popular interviews.
The Raghunath Cappo Experience
It's harder to accept without accepting the transmutability of all things.
Great show! Both appreciated each other, Joe showed real interest.
Thank you Joe for having Raghunath on. Both of you rock!
