"Two things happen when you strip everything away from a person. Jesus showed that real love and spirituality can come from anyone regardless of what their professed religion is. It’s about action and appreciation. We find by our actions when positive produce good results which makes us happier deep down. If we pursue self pleasure we can feel an inner remorse that can make us feel overall less fulfilled or ashamed which can make us less happy. Which tends to lead people to drink and abuse drugs more. If we can be balanced it can be fine. But what really seems to stand out here is realizing we can show more love and appreciation when we realize how much we should be grateful for, and when we understand how we can show appreciation to our Creator, it can make us truly happy and a better person.

@12:15 when he mentions how eating food prepared by someone who hosts a different QUALITY of conscious awareness will affect your own quality - he is very accurate. It becomes obvious if you work on your state of mind. Daily Practices To Increase Sensitivity -Expose yourself to sunlight for 40 minutes a day. -Sleep 8 hours or more a night. -Exercise and stretch your body with a sense of love for everything that is. -Walk in nature often. Social -Converse meaningfully with people. -Practice no judgment. Thoughts -Disengage with fear. Social-based fears and future-based fears are sensitivities of the ego, NOT the kind of sensitivity that allows for the feeling of subtle things. Radiation -Remove yourself, as best as you can, from wifi devices and all other wireless devices. Explanation: Increasing sensitivity relies on minimizing the disruption of your natural state. Wifi-based devices and their radiation (if standing nearby) deters the natural state of cells and of the nervous system in general. Such radiation is a sporadic and jittery set of voltage gradients which pass through the tissues of your body. Exposure to the radiation imparts an effect on one's state of mind. Diet -Less sugar. -Eat to balance the presence of minerals in your body (magnesium balances your mood). -Eat less rather than more. Sexual -Love the person you are with (or are thinking of) with the same magnificence that you feel when you are taking in the ocean. Try these things for a week and you will feel almost everything differently;)

As someone in India, and who's read the 18 Adhyay of the Srimād Bhàgvād Gita, this man is right. The book talks about the difference between that which is matter born, and that which non matter, but eternal. It's quite profound. And it sees "God" as everything- The multiverses, birth, death, the 7 upper (heavens) & 7 lower (narak) mandalas - everything exists within him. He is in everything, everything is in him. Yet he his away from everything. "Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds" ~ Oppenheimer quoting a Gita verse (shlôk)
What does Rogan do before every Elk meal? Hes right, with his hunting. Dude is praising his meal each and every time. He hunts it and cooks it, he found that connection.

Felt so good hearing someone saying it right. As a Hare Krishna person I thought you will ask us all to convert. Kudos you have resisted that.🤭 Hey Joe, this guys is a find.
Absolutely. The energy of the cook in the food will affect you positively or negatively. We all have to be so careful on what we eat. Not just the foodstuff but thoughts, consciousness, karma, state of mind of the cook goes into the food and then into the one who eats it. You CAN feel the difference.

Great guest, great topics. Just wanted to clarify that Bhakti yoga, what Raghunath teaches, is yoga or path (to liberation of the soul) of devotion (to God, or the Universal Truth, the Ultimate Being), and that's the reason for accenting offering and serving. The most traditional Hatha yoga, or the yoga of the ascetics in India, is focused on self-empowerment, and devotion has no role to play there. Just sharing 😊
I totally agree with what he said about food. You won't notice it unless you go away somewhere like an organic farm.or retreat center or something, but when you come back and start eating food cooked by random people who are angry, frustrated, rude etc. you can notice a difference.
to clear things out for the west.. he was a hindu monk, which has different factions of monks who devote to different gods and have varying choices in their life. Nagas live naked and wander off to the mountains for months, while iskcon monks live a very homely lifestyle, it's more about generosity while Nagas discard any materialistic distraction possible..
I think it's kind of instinctive. You feel better about food given to you from people who are in good spirits, or people who love you, or people who love to cook. If it's some kid flipping burgers with a bad attitude you might not feel fantastic about it.
adi weedeos I was hooked on sadhguru for a few days during some bad weeks a few months ago. Life altering education he has to offer. I do agree. He is slightly egotistical.
Yo Bert, At any mOMent death will cOMe... what will happen to your "responsibilities" then? Best thing is, along side of your daily grind, to stART cultivating a kind of 'garden', a little time everyday that's set aside as sacred: even just 5 minutes of meditation morning & evening, offering your food, read a bit of Bhagavad Gita and you're On The Road!

I have developed so many of these mental techniques that he learned while being a monk. Im 20 years old and moved to minot north dakota in January where it's absolutely in the middle of nowhere and i have no tv but my phone which i barely use and i know nobody but i self reflect so much and learned to replace negative self mantras with looking for greatness in other people and i swear its from living alone with nl furniture never leaving the house and only reading books basically other than watching jre or nexpo
Used to pass through and stop in Minot all the time when I worked for Amtrak. Definitely a remote town and lots of snow but I’m currently living the same type of lifestyle which is what brought me to this video. Peace
Food in the American diet has become an inconvenience in our busy day. When we run from here to there. I absolutely agree with what this man is saying about food it is another aspect of consciousness. I spent 20 years in the restaurant business and that’s the one thing that I learned food is prayer.I was trying to re-create my great grandma‘s chicken and dumpling soup once and everybody was tasting my soup was saying it’s amazing let it go leave it and what I realize was I was trying to re-create the love of that woman had put in her food and what I understood at that moment was I can’t re-create her love but I can create my love and present it to another human being. How do I always adhere to that principle with myself no I’ve gone back to that place of food being an inconvenience and I must see 4 to 5 small meals a day and just trying to shove macros down my neck instead of remembering it’s a prayer it’s love it’s consciousness.

-Sleep 8 hours or more a night.
-Exercise and stretch your body with a sense of love for everything that is.
-Walk in nature often.
Social
-Converse meaningfully with people.
-Practice no judgment.
Thoughts
-Disengage with fear. Social-based fears and future-based fears are sensitivities of the ego, NOT the kind of sensitivity that allows for the feeling of subtle things.
Radiation
-Remove yourself, as best as you can, from wifi devices and all other wireless devices.
Diet
-Less sugar.
-Eat to balance the presence of minerals in your body (magnesium balances your mood).
-Eat less rather than more.
Sexual
-Love the person you are with (or are thinking of) with the same magnificence that you feel when you are taking in the ocean.
Try these things for a week and you will feel almost everything differently;)
alwayslistening4444 I want to do all this but lack the motivation. 😑
im so glad i read this comment. im gonna print this shit out on a piece of paper.
You definitely don’t have to sleep 1/3 of your day away
why expose ourselves to ultraviolet radiation but not radiofrequency radiation? I agree with everything else
Thank you Brother
Would love to hear more stories from his guy his excitement is contagious
He has a podcast called Wisdom of the Sages
This was a great episode, thanks Joe for bringing him on. Been a fan of Yoga Ray since his Shelter days.
You know the talk will be great when there are two bald headed dudes in a room!
Am going back to being a Hare Krsna again, walked off the path a few years back and I have realised it was a terrible mistake. Thanks for the video.I really needed this.

Hermetic Dragon i didnt like it
I wish he'd talk more about youth of today and NYHC
The good thing Is he's giving knowledge besides music it's interesting hearing about his ideas about religion Buddhism positive mental attitude its really interesting training your mind
I've been a monk for 8 years. I can't imagine ever going back.
same here sir
why, may i ask?
@MR Boombastic I became a monk because I realized that everything that was causing me grief or pain or anxiety or stress in my life was from relationships. And it didn't even matter what relationship, I could date wonderful people or not so great people and it was just never good for me I was never happy. Once I cut women out of the equation my life completely changed and I have just become happier and happier
@@ghamm777 oh ok, i think i misunderstood, so you are still a monk?
@@mrboombastic8369 yes absolutely I am for life now

8:08 strangers do this to me in the city, make comments to their companions on a shortcoming they noticed. Good to hear it framed this way. They are lashing out to make themselves feel whole
Joe “I consciously hunt down an elk and feed it to my family” rogan is trying to draw parallels between ‘bhog’ and his freshly cooked game.
This was 14:40 of my life well spent.
My biggest takeaway from this episode is that I must work to integrate a greatness quality practice - finding the greatness in others into my daily routine🙏🏻
Agreed, love this ❤
11:06 I once walked out of a Quizno's because the guy making my sandwich was MAD. I stopped him halfway and walked out- "Sorry, cancel that... I can't eat a sandwich made with angry hands."
Bunch of baloooony
@jay I don't own one.
Lmaoo
@@newton2013 I did the same thing about a week ago except I didn't know how to address the negative energy so I just set the sandwich down a few aisles over and walked out of the store...
Other side of the same coin, after years of isolation Id order out just to feel the connection to someone
Joe you’ve got the life.Talking to people about cool stuff every single day. Being able to see and hear things from others perspectives.
And we’re here able to listen to it
Shelter's first 2 albums were amazing. Youth of Today is NYHC royalty. Ray accomplished much in music alone! Great guy.
Before he said it, I knew he was going to say "Love" as the secret ingredient in food. I know this, because it is fact.
Raghunath did great and explaining the subtle aspects of Monk life. I was also monk for 14 years and the idea that food can affect consciousness is a real thing, food carries thought energy.
The amount of shininess on their heads is unfathomable
Eternal shine of the hairless mind.....
It is the light reflecting from heaven shining into our dull little lives.
The shiniess of their heads is actually helping me reach a transcendental state.

I was a punk for about 7 1/2 years ...then I realized it's so much easier to just do DMT and watch cartoons...
Joe seems very unconvinced about this ideology.
Now I have to watch the rest of the podcast!

Yes, he is too unconscious still.
You have to empty your mind , before you can fill it with other thoughts.
Joe never been deep into anything. No biggie if he seems unconvinced!
What does Rogan do before every Elk meal? Hes right, with his hunting. Dude is praising his meal each and every time. He hunts it and cooks it, he found that connection.
that is very egotistical. It is putting the human on top of a podium. Not honourable at all. and the connection is not a connection, rather an illusion
The reason why Aliens would kill us is their idea that humans would do the same to animals.
Wow! One of the better expositions of Hindu concepts out there. Just goes to show how genuine his monk experience was and how much he learnt from the elders.
Felt so good hearing someone saying it right.
As a Hare Krishna person I thought you will ask us all to convert. Kudos you have resisted that.🤭
Hey Joe, this guys is a find.

Absolutely. The energy of the cook in the food will affect you positively or negatively. We all have to be so careful on what we eat. Not just the foodstuff but thoughts, consciousness, karma, state of mind of the cook goes into the food and then into the one who eats it. You CAN feel the difference.
Best Chanel I ever of what ever to for ever do find. Thanks Joe. .. Sweden :)
I can tell English isnt your first language, but that was not bad!

As long as you keep batting, it will always be a home run. To be able to keep playing is the game
If he wants a home run he should play baseball
It was just a analogie to what is the purpose of life
I don't like to use Spotify but Im open to trying it out to give the support, also I love your podcasts because it really helps me get through the repetitive mondaine moments at my job and I really love learning from and opening my mind to the wide variety of conversations.
Love Raghunath & his podcast. they (Raghunath & Kaustubha) have changed my life for the better.
You can see Joe was fully on board until this dude started talking about eating the consciousness of your chef
Nagas live naked and wander off to the mountains for months, while iskcon monks live a very homely lifestyle, it's more about generosity while Nagas discard any materialistic distraction possible..
hare krishna and may god bless us all!
This guy knows how to live a good life
This was an EPIC segment ❤️
love love love so enjoyed this interview
This guy doesnt fixate on the teleprompter/Ipad thats laid down on the desk... First real guest Ive seen in a long time.
I think it's kind of instinctive. You feel better about food given to you from people who are in good spirits, or people who love you, or people who love to cook. If it's some kid flipping burgers with a bad attitude you might not feel fantastic about it.
Plz invite sadhguru.....I promise that will be enlightening
Sadhguru should have come 3 times already on this podcast ...lets hope he comes atleast once...
Sadhguru is too much of a know it all
adi weedeos I was hooked on sadhguru for a few days during some bad weeks a few months ago. Life altering education he has to offer. I do agree. He is slightly egotistical.
Sadhguru. The most arrogant guru i know.
I wish I can experience be a monk, but I got too much responsibility on my back.
Yo Bert,
At any mOMent death will cOMe... what will happen to your "responsibilities" then? Best thing is, along side of your daily grind, to stART cultivating a kind of 'garden', a little time everyday that's set aside as sacred: even just 5 minutes of meditation morning & evening, offering your food, read a bit of Bhagavad Gita and you're On The Road!
@Eubert Andrei Try heartfulness meditation at the comfort of your home. It's available on TH-cam.

I understand every word Raghunath! He is such in calm!
Making friends with solitude
This whole time Joe Rogan was like: OH REALLY?
Hare Krsna Prabhuji....Prasad(Foodstuffs offered to Krsna) is HEAVENLY!!!! PURE BLISS!!!!
Cappo is exactly what Joe would look like if he became a yogi too 😂 Right now Joe looks like a tensed being who has all the stress in the world and cappo an exact replica of joe but enlightened 😂
