- As someone with very little experience manipulating and creating with soft materials, I was interested in learning some of the fundamental tools and techniques of leatherworking from person skilled in the craft. I took some time to pick Michelle Melchior's brain about the topic when I stopped in her and Patrick's shop/home during my road trip across America.

This is cool because you can see progression and then SEE the reason behind it.
Great video. Great company.
I like that you did this little leather intro. As a maker I like using lots of different media and leather is something that has been intimidating for me. So this was really helpful. Thanks!
I’m liking these side trips into different kinds of making... looking forward to more of this.
Asweome and inspiring video guys (Michelle, Patrick, and Winston)! I love these little informative spotlights into small business (Makers). Hope to see more of these on your trek Westward....
thank you for the kind words
CNC the leather!
Very nice video I like the spotlight you put on another maker. I hope she gets more customers than she can handle. Could use some zooming in to specific items.

Nice interview Winston...
Hoping you have more of these excursions into other crafts on tap. There are so many interesting ways that makers can exercise their creativity -- sadly, time, space, and funds are all insufficient to the task... But I'm still giving it my best shot :-) Clyde
I'll bet that shop has a wonderful fragrance about it.
Cool video. Thanks. I have been wanting to try some leather working. But that music really set me on edge. Very distracting for me anyway.
