Making a Tool Tightening Fixture for the PocketNC -

The PocketNC is a really cool machine with features that are a half step towards a higher end market, but the lack of some accessories I consider basic has been a small annoyance. So in proper DIY fashion, I set out to correct these perceived deficiencies.

Cool project. I've found that with wood, conventional milling is better than climb. Fewer burrs, better surface, and better dimensional accuracy.

You could have threaded the insert pins, tapped the holes, then you would be able to adjust the fit precisely. Or, you could have had set-screws from the bottom to allow adjustment as well.

Depends on what you want to make. Can't go wrong with plain Carbide. Just get it in the right size for your application. 🤷🏻‍♂️
