One consideration for use with the nuclear waste might be to just make mesh tiles underneath the outhouse and move the solid to drop down to help disinfect the germs?
Just have pacus;)! It’s all you need except water-1 breader tank and 3 1 space tanks for each type of pacu. Ordinary for breeding, tropical in glass for Massive decor and gulp fish for free converting polluted water into clean. And any seeds-thats all
I thought about that but the amount they give didn't seem to fulfill the amount needed to switch to a water based system. The pokeshell gives 15kg Sand per cycle but the water sieve needs 1/5 kg per second for a 1kg per second geyser. That is 125kg per cycle. I might make a version that has an optional water pokeshell system. But at that time i thought the math didn't work out for what i had planned. I might have been wrong though
I understand that Food Poisoning isn't deadly, but still... There is a way to have a stable Lavatory/Sink/Shower to deal with it. All you need is enough Filtration Medium for one Water Sieve. 1) Meteor Showers is the easiest way, but not every planet has it. 2) You can melt Dirt to get Sand. Around 330 degrees Celsius as far as I remember. 3) Pokeshell/Oakshell ranch.
Hey Lorens thanks for the list. I am trying to answer why i decided against it / what was my train of though: I thought of some of them but decided against them for various reasons: -A Sand setup requires lots of recoursess itself. I didn't want the base to get too complex. -A sieve uses lots of sand. if you have a constantly running sieve supplied by a rock crusher for example you need a dupe almost working half a cycle on it every cycle. -Meteors are a good recource. Probably not in the dlc cause there you only get certain meteors on certain planets. -Pokeshells are a good source, still alot are needed for a single sieve. I tried interesting melting dirt. But over 325°C is alot of heat with only steel as highest material. i try not using niobium or thermium in my build so most people can copy them. Using Magma is implementing a second base recource and would nullify the experiment. Do you think there is a simple sand producing setup i can easily include? (must work on every planet, cannot use space level material, no exploits) Am i overlooking something simple? PS: the water sieve to change this setup to have a lavatory and O2 based oxygen would only need a sieve to run 1/5 th of the time. so 250g of Sand per second
@lumaraw So, no Thermium, no Magna and no meteor showers. Sure. Sieve requires a lot of sand if it runs constantly, but considering that you only need to filter a little bit of water per cycle, it's not that much. 12 kg of water for Lavatory, 5 kg for Sink, and 16 kg for a Shower. So it's around 7kg of sand per cycle per dupe with the Sieve having the inherent storage of 1200 kg. One Pokeshell would give you around 30 kg of sand per cycle. Ethanol Distiller should be enough food for up to 3 of them.
@@Lorens4444 Oh that is nice. so for the current setup without changing to an electrolyzer can be upgraded with just 1-3 wild Pokeshells (when they die and leave an egg behind we might need some extra buffer so since i don't want to do the math we can put in more). I put 3 in the Ethanol production room and now have it running for a while. let you know what happens if i remember :D Thanks again

I like the creativity of this design! Bees + Saturn traps is not a combo you see often.

I personally would switch a couple of composts in favor of a pokeshell or two, which will give me sand to run water sieve + proper bathrooms/showers.

well, you do have ethanol for polluted dirt
This setup looks pretty cute.

@@Lorens4444 Update: in 45 cycles 3 pokeshells produced 1135kg of sand giving us 25kg per cycle to work with.

Hey Luma! You mentioned having disinfect on to train the dupe. What skill does that train? Strength?
As far as i remember it was strenght
when have they added the saturn critter trap?
Good question. I think together with the beetas and the "radiation" / nuclesr material biome
I thought Dupes won't get stung while in an atmo suit. Has it changed again? Have not gotten that far myself. Only yesterday sent my first rocket to space XD Anyway that trap is quite cool idea, thanks
I thought that as well but they get stung if the beeta is not pacified by carbon dioxide. Hence the trap.
I wish that we can use plant meat to cook into barbecue.
Same. Not sure why they call it that and not have us make BBQ out of it.
