Does Katie have her own channel? Love her teaching style/explanations. Brilliant content. Agree would love the same video off range mats. Thoroughly enjoyed this

Really interesting. I have adopted a strategy of hitting half swings on my longer irons around the green to ‘bump and run’. My playing partner tends to use his sand/Lon wedge all the time and often fats/thins shots which subsequently affects his mind and impacts on the putt/next hole 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Couldn't go from range monster to even straight from the tee in a game. First I fired my driver. 5 Wood from the first tee. That helped me remove some of the self-imposed pressure.
Then I decided to just up-club everything else. This had the effect of building my confidence, slowing down my turn and increasing direction control. As a result I enjoy the round more, and I am getting longer with FAR more shots on the fairways & getting some GIR thrown in too. One of these days I will really work on the short game.
One does need the information you speak about, however, it might be a good idea to do a show on figuring distances without Garmin, et al involved. Once upon a time there were no GPS you know, and a lot of beginner players can't afford the gadgets, they have to pay the teaching pro.

Great video, love the idea and am thinking of buying the R10…
How much distance should you add for range balls? I guess this is pretty difficult to get accurate numbers without using your usual ball? (TP5 for me)

Tiger Woods used to play Tiger Par - I play Gary Par - playing to my par was a key change and enables happier golf! Gary Birdies are a plus.

At the end of each driving practice session I hit 10/12 drives with a relatively narrow target area between 2 flags and keep the score. I sometimes imagine a particular tee shot at my club.

Great video. I am wondering if you can use rànge balls (low compression) to determine your distances with each club even if you have a flight monitor.

MWHG - GREAT content .. but most driving ranges have mats so the strike is not always the same on the course ….any chance of the same video … but showing range (of mats) transferred to the course

Exactly, not all of us have the opportunity to have a proper range to practise on.

Yes, and mats can mask a bad shot to an extent. And of course, they're perfectly level.

Lee Westwood writes his yardages on each club in his bag.

In order to bring your game to the course, firstly, park your bicycle close by,then when ready throw your clubs, plus the bacon n egg Sanger, over your back, climb on board the trusty bike, head down, and begin the journey to the five day bicycle parking area of your club, you will encounter a few useless Bogans, waiting for full membership for eight years ,then and only then ,prop your clubs against the door of the Pro shop, and star swinging your arms like a mad windmill, this will cause great mirth among the Bogans and Primates in the five day bar,,then kick the captain's dog in the arse, and go home !!yup that's what you must do !!

How wonderful,I will have you know this is not my first prize,,yes indeed,,I participated in a Xmas turkey comp for the artisan and potential members twenty years ago!!well needless to state we were all given 7 Irons, or if over Eighty you were allowed five woods,on the par three seventh over bunker,, yup indeed the feature hole,,,, I struck out with a power fade, which found the bunker, then ,then,. I gave the pill a kick forward, and indeed about seven strokes later I found myself on the dance floor !!!!! Well Holy Moly, I achieved a podium finish, yes indeed I got ,as they say, a mention, the Lady Captain's cousin presented me with a brace of pheasant,, Winners are Grinner's ! Remind me to take up egg n spoon racing next year,,and,oh yes give the Captain's rottweiler a kick up the arse at Xmas,,,Merry Yule ! By the way they were Hen Pheasants , the club is fully populated with gobshites and Peasants with no class,, Hens ??I ask you !!!
