getting that lead arm action correct and the pivot seem to be two of the most important parts of the golf swing action. ive been working on it and it really helps. thnx for the info.

Anyone willing to work on their golf swing and talk about it. Should be applauded. 👏👏👏
Recently, my studies have concluded .The hands ✋️ must move low left or right.
Pay close attention to Hogans hands, and you will see his hand path, moves low left of his left front pocket. It may appear as if it doesn't, because his left hip will move left and give the illusion that his hands haven't moved low left.
Pay close attention to most professionals and you will begin to notice the low left hand path for a right handed golfer. This path will sling the club head with great velocity. Remember the longer the club, the shallower the club swing. Takecare, hopefully, my two cents. helps someone..
I love and enjoy the great riddle of golf.

Hogan's claim, as is your contention also, is that he swings in a single plane. He doesn't. This is true because he doesn't setup in-plane.
Just about every tour player, with the notable exception of Bryson Dechambeau, hits a two-plane swing. Watch Moe Norman and Todd Graves if you want to teach a two-plane swing.

I'm left handed but golf right and I power my swing with the the left lead side and it feels correct for me. maybe i'm on the right or left track so to speak.

"The secret is in the dirt".
Probably something about GRF (ground reaction forces), torque.

Hogan had a cupped left wrist in his swing...

Good video topic-audio fair to middling. The book's illustrations require some scrutiny-esp. the top-down circles and ovals. One needs to think in three dimensions and really study the illustrations. Everything is there, it's just hard to interpret (for some like me). The point about Hogan's body type is key. He was uniquely "built" to play golf. Think Michael Phelps or Muhammed Ali and how their bodies made them able to "play" their sports. Phelps long arms, long torso and large long hands and feet. Ali's hands were huge and his arm span enormous-see the SI two-page life-sized photo from back in the day. In the video Snead has to manipulate his body to mimic Hogan to control his hook...Blame you parents for your poor golf play. Then go practice.

@@Frank-pi2gz thanks for pointing out the mental barrier that kept many golfers from recognizing Hogan’s message for all these decades.

@@HogansAngleI have read his book back to front at least 3 times. What is apparent is that we all have different swings. Hogans was unique to him, his size and stature and biometric traits were for him and him only. The problem most of us amateur players have is poor confusing coaching. A good coach would be able to knock 10 shots off any player in a 2 hour lesson if they were any good.
