Some years ago I did specialized work on wind turbines, oil rigs and industrial plants; No matter what, a chisel driver, tool check plus and some knipex pliers always went with me.
The zyklop pocket was soooooo perfect for me as a industrial mecanic/electrician i can walk around and done almost 3/4 of the job with just that and the 1/4 of the rest i need almost all of my tool but for quick fix as walking around just amazing!
im currently looking at the amazon site of the Wera 8009 set and i really really have to push myself to not order it. It is literally all i ever asked for as a service technician
The colours are different on the square ones because robertsons are colour coded - yellow for #0 (typically #4 screws), green for #1 (#6 screws), red for #2 (#8 and #10), black for #3 (#12 screws). As an electrician you'd pretty much only see green and red, though some of the larger PVC boxes up here (like, 12" x 12" from Carlon) use black. Not sure about america, since I've noticed you guys sometimes use torx in places where we'd have a robbie fastener - but hooray, at least it's not phillips!
Just got the special edition Japanese market drivers from Wera. Same etching on the tips. But also has ball grips like Vessel and whatnot. Not insulated. But seriously great. My insulated drivers. I’ve got the stainless steel ones because of the humidity in Florida. They’re the only tools I have that have no effects from the humidity. And the jokers. I have the SAE ratcheting ones. Easily the best wrenches I’ve ever owned.
6.5 mm insulated flathead screwdriver and 3.5mm insulated terminal screw driver are my most used tools. I have the wera electrician maintenance driver kit as well, which I use quite frequently
Multi driver is part of EDC. I didn’t realize the driver portion could be removed but I don’t think it’s impact rated. I could be wrong. Also had never heard of the chisel type screw drivers so thanks for that.
my old trusty flathead is some random noname thing passed down from my dad. it just wont break. also has this hexagonal part for torquing with a wrench. it doesnt have that metal end you can beat a hammer on tho. got a philips one like that, too.
I wanted to by the 1/4 Zyklop but I want to fit it in my little case. Can you let me know how long the racket is? My case is 7 inches inside. For the quick version not the pocket
Had the interchangeable and normal set of wera VDE screwdrivers, dont like any of them. Got klien vde screwdrivers and im litterally excited to screw things up lol.
Lol, we were walking down the haul road today under a bridge, there's a cable tray been installed on one side running along the footing. Noticed a giant pile of broken cable ties, really small screws, cut insulation, no heat shrink. Must be sparkies. I wish you sparkies did a review on vaccuum cleaners or brooms, shovels or something more appropriate.
i own the same wera driver, only thing i dont like is how thick the head of it is, i work on coolers and vending machine and the head is too big to fit in alot of spaces
Used Wera insulated screwdrivers for a short time , really really didn't like them , found the tips not long lasting and the handles were awful , far too large and the widest part in the wrong place , I like Wiha, Stanley fatmax and Bahco vde ergo . The Bahco is my the best screwdriver set I have ever used as a spark , honestly leagues above other brands
Agreed on the screwdrivers, they’re just uncomfortable in the hand, I think they are made for a specific hand size and if you are anything other than that too bad
I love the wera screwdrivers but I got some particularly large hands so they fit my hand great not an electrician though I bought a set so I don’t mark up any holes or parts while putting in a screw (I work in car restoration) I have proto, craftsman, snapon, Mac, matco, wiha and various others I guess I’m one of the lucky ones they fit
Wera goes on and on about ergonomics, but I just do not like their handles. Wiha or hazet or bahco are just better. They have pear-shaped handles that fit my hand better
If wera tools came with a hard case for their storage instead of a fabric roll where parts fall out all over the jobsite and go missing they would have a winning product especially for the price they charge. how hard is it for them to make a blow moulded quality hard case? Get it sorted
As a Luthier, I treat my tools my knives and my fine musical instruments separate in hard case storage. you don't throw throw multiple fine instruments in a cloth bag banging around before you turn up to play at the orchestra @@americanelectrician
The Wera etched tips were the biggest lie ever claimed by a tool manufacturer. No noticeable difference between them and any other driver I have. The only good thing is they were short and they fitted in my new too bag I had at the time ( I had mine 8/9 years ago ). The difference size handles were awful, my Klein all have the same size grip, once you get used to that it’s hard to go back and try to exert a force with a skinny handle. I have Fatmax, Irazola, Klein, Armeg, Wiha, Wera so have plenty to compare them to.
Not that I like being "that guy" but here goes. Wera is a German company and as such, the W is pronounced like a V. So while the name is spelled Wera, it is pronounced Vera. Great vid though, appreciate all the details!
Pro we live in Egypt we don't have wera tools at all I'm a house Manager I have 100 doller tools for everything encoding corded power tools we still alive we do well and live our life . people who want to live and feed their families will not care How quality the tool they use they only foucus on their goals in life .
@@bigp2487 yes because so many people incorrectly call it square that the manufacturer just gave up and gave in and calls it square. But it's ROBINSON.

I bought a tool check plus set and keep it in my 97 Impreza. Very cool little set, very useful in case you need it
I love my Wera VDE joker set, amazing spanners honestly
The zyklop pocket was soooooo perfect for me as a industrial mecanic/electrician i can walk around and done almost 3/4 of the job with just that and the 1/4 of the rest i need almost all of my tool but for quick fix as walking around just amazing!

instead of the bitset I use the tool check plus. thumbs up
Yea I got a lot of tool in my cart cuz of you, keep up the feed bro, thanks
WERA and KNIPEX.....THEY ARE YHE BEST !!!!

Love the rust. Gives the tools a nice weathered look. As a marine electrical technician, nope, rust is nasty and stains boats if I'm not careful
Need those wrenches
Just get a kinipexs plier wrench 🔧

I think you're correct. Stick that in an impact driver and watch it get mangled. It's not rated for it.

I have one too which I found somewhere. It’s a DIY superstore brand, it sits alongside my Klein/Knipex gear and is my most used tool 😳😳
do you work at witron/wios?
Wera screwdrivers- big yes.Rest is a bit questionable.
The screwdrivers are my favorite
I wish the bit holder Wera screw driver was a ratcheting one

I like the Wiha strike top screwdrivers better. Slightly bigger cap that doesn’t show impact marks as fast and made in Germany not Czech Republic.
Love the vid I definitely love their bottle openers as well!
Have 8 different colours

That’s my only issue with it. I rock dedicated drivers most of the time
Wera Hex plus allen keys in metric ofcourse.
You should seriously consider the Wera allen keys they have patented technology

Why does nobody call the square bit a Robertson? Is that a Canadian thing only?
I bet yes. I'm from Germany and I never saw such thing in my whole life. I'm 40.
I’ve heard it called a “Robin” here in the US
It slices, it dices, it sponsored this video.
No one sponsored this video
It's a German company, and it's pronounced as "Vera," like Volkswagen pronunciated as Volksvagen.
But Volkswagen is pronounced Folksvagen.
I’m from America. It’s Wera pronounced Wera. And Volkswagen pronounced Volkswagen. Sorry

Yeah that's what I heard about the Vessel ball screwdrivers. They're cool and precise, but the handle is uncomfortable for me.

Thank you🙌🏼
somehow Wera's precision kits aren't as solid as their usual size screwdrivers. ive seen lots of reviews with pics of broken off flathead tips.
