To have the 1 of 13 LILE FB knife is quite literally the Holy Grail of knives. I'd assumed it was in some super max security vault that'll never see the light of day. Even seeing it is now is a true joy. Your one lucky guy. The Presentation Cerakote version of the knife is a beauty as well.

And you never mentioned what the black plate was all about? This is the greatest teaser video I have ever seen about an original First Blood movie knife! The plate was added because of a spelling mistake, it said frist blood instead of first blood. I think it so for approximately $120 US . I agree it definitely deserves a long video about it and some close ups. Awesome video though.

The first knives numbered 1 through 6 were issued with left handed sheaths according to the Lile book on page 324. Not sure why that is a right handed sheath unless it is a reverse image. Thanks

Great video. Was #1 actually screen used? If it was, the sheath couldn't have been, as it is a right handed sheath, where the ones Sly used on screen were left handed, and all the sheaths were darkened as they were distressed, by dirt and moisture. Great video, and thank you so much for sharing. :)
Impressive. And in much better shape than the 6 of 13 which seemed to have a bit of heat damage on the top guard: I could be wrong, but I assumed 6 was used in the "torch light stuck in wood" scene, which would account for the rough condition of the blade... Is the black plate you refer to the different colour we see at the base of the blade?

Wow!!!!id be overwhelmed for years knowing i had that knife lol.i was 7 when first blood came out and had to have a rambo knife.had the crappy bubble compass on outside of cap ones that everyone had.and a stacked leather imitation ka-bar that was kinda Rambo like.no sawteeth.and a cheap aviator survival rip off knife.wasnt to shabby.then my dad made me one based on the aviator blade.i was 8 and i lost it in the woods.id love to have that back.finally.my dad gave me his camillus aviator survival blade he carried in Nam.he was an airborne ranger.they were issued bayonet looking knives.soon as he got to Nam.he ditched the big knife and traded it for the little camillus knife from a helicopter pilot.

The 5 of 15 knife that sold at auction, the sheath is left handed and looks different, the stone pouch is much bigger and the leather is darker. Unless that’s not the original sheath? Just watched the movie and the movie is 100% different than this one.

Beautiful Collection and I know what you mean about how the Rambo movies planted a love for the outdoors because the same thing happened with me. I have been wanting to get the first two Rambo knives but I ended up ordering and getting the Last Blood knives directly from Germany from the Dietmar Pohl's website and they are very nice and I am waiting for the 40th anniversary knife that Pohl is making where he is taking the Original Lite design blade and Pohl is putting his spin on it and is scheduled to come out toward the end of the month. Now that I see that the Vaughn Neeley are as good as the original I will be putting an order for the First Blood model. Now that I am retired am able to get the items to make life interesting such as guns, knives and cars. Great Video!

@ osmosis 01 This is not Sylvester Stallone's #1. he collects them himself and. he certainly doesn't need money. Lile number 17 out of 20 has a price of 50K at auction. This is a real Lile from 4K but certainly not used in the movie. the sheath is also too new. the film version is used. I have a New version Lile First Blood myself. costs $2500. I could put NR 1 in it. but I don't

The latest pic of one in his book shelf is more than likely #3 as that is the only other one that I know for a fact Sly still has. Also seen in one of the episodes of his reality show, his daughter picks up two knives and one is probably the #3 as well.

I have first blood from greg wall and part 2 from Greg wall and they are awesome. Your collection is the real thing my brother and I know you are very proud the own such awesome cutlery
Alot. Those are a cheap prop. Soft steel (most actual Liles were D2 die steel, literally the steel that stamp the cheap blades out), the copy I reviewed loosened after 2 minutes of chopping, and the saws don't work. Put a flat edge against a copy and you see the back "saw" is flat. The original has angled teeth (like a drill bit works). Finally if it just says "LILE" (if there isn't a "dot" over Jimmy's name) it was made in a machine shop using hand tools by the one man who worked with Sly on the design everyone else copies.
It's a bit of a mental stretch to think jimmy lile would have glued a plate on his knife because he screwed up the stamp. It's a bit like Rembrandt using white out on one of his paintings because of a mistake. Not very credible.
I like that you put the #1 in a right handed newer-looking sheath, as those left handed distressed sheaths are really annoying... Thank you for the video.
Where as Jimmy Lile was a true gentleman, Jack Crain was considered one of the most dishonest men in the custom knife industry. When Crain died he had cheated dozens of customers out of tens of thousands. Many would pay, then never get anything while Crain sold his new blades at auctions and such year after year. A check of the older online blade forums will back this up (but yes, for those he didn't defraud the Life Support System is an awesome blade. Particularly the all black "Airwolf" version.)
I will part with it eventually. It was a bucket list item for me and has been amazing to have. Going to take something special to get me to let it go though.

I have a replica of the first blood from the master cutlery that I bought in 2009 (I know it's bad but it's the one I have and I still like it, I don't have more money for another one at the moment). The truth is that I am starting to make sheaths for my knives and I would like to make a leather sheath as detailed as the original one like the one you have, so I ask you if you could make a video showing it in detail. Another question regarding that sheath... how do you hold the knife without the button strap? It's something I always ask myself. A cordial greeting from Spain.

Amazing I talked to Jimmy when I was about 10 about this knife. Think at that time it was around $600 to get on but I was poor.

I can tell you that having a Jimmy Lile is substantially much more rarer that those signatures series knifes.
