    Dude! This is awesome!
    So happy when I saw you’d already put part 2 up!
    I love that you taken the contact animation which I will admit I normally hate and actually turned it in to a positive and made the game more realistic all at the same time. This series is honestly fantastic. I wish I could give it more than a thumbs up on each video. You thought of setting up Patreon?

    • @KevinCruz016
      @KevinCruz016  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Had time today, so wanted to get these out before work takes over my life again lol.
      If i have time, I'll put out the third video tomorrow on RS counters, and the fourth video some time in the weekend which will cover setting up escape jumpers. All the clips are ready, but editing and VO might take time.
      No, have not thought about Patreon, but I appreciate the gesture of support! Just keep coming back and giving a thumbs up, that already helps me a lot!

    This can often be quite subtle can’t it but it gives you just a bough space to get that shot off without much if any of a contest from the defender.

    • @KevinCruz016
      @KevinCruz016  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah this move is more of a combo move, on its own it will give you micro advantages that will free you up for your next move. It will be rare that you get that strong push off/stagger animation.

    Does the animations they fall or stumble come from ankle breaker or space creator?

    • @KevinCruz016
      @KevinCruz016  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are important, but my guess is space creator is the more important one here

  • @xultimax10
    @xultimax10 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Which attributes have the largest positive impact on these animations? I'm assuming strength. What about SWB or ball handle?

    • @KevinCruz016
      @KevinCruz016  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have time to test this out, but my guess would be ball handle, speed with ball and acceleration for the contact blow by, strength is correct. High lay-up rating is a must to make sure you finish at the basket.
      For badges, quick first step and hyperdrive should help if you use RS and L2 counters, and for finishing through traffic acrobat and fearless finisher.
      The shoulder bump isn't an actual push, it's more like an ankle breaker so I'm not sure if tight handles, ankle breaker, or space creator (if you use the step-back) helps.

      I just go to scrimmage and isolate at the top of the three point line to keep trying it out.

      Any to get more reliable animations?

    • @KevinCruz016
      @KevinCruz016  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The move is sensitive to the type of contact animation initiated, so I play around with different launch angles to see what works. It will also depend on the bump animation and defensive stats/badges of your defender. But against bad defenders with poor strength/athleticism, it should work more often than not

    • @KevinCruz016
      @KevinCruz016  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We were discussing the moves, its not like you taught me how to do it. I've been working on these moves since the beginning of the year, but am only making a video now because I feel like I've completed the set. I also captured a lot of the footage for this video, and the future videos in this series in the past few days.
      I've already done an intro on the hold off the defender move, here: th-cam.com/video/sxTqs24o1yM/w-d-xo.html
      And as you saw in the video on the contact blowby, I already introduced the L2 shoulder bump and the L2 tap to hold off the defender in that video.
      I am good with giving credit when someone shares something I don't know about. Jason Battle on twitter was the guy who taught me how to perfect the hold off defender move.
      Respectfully, I try to create a culture of sharing knowledge for the benefit of the community. I give props when its due, and I know my way around the game enough.

      My mistake, it wasnt even you who I was discussing this move with man. I was talking to Raulito's way.
      I have not even read your comments on my video because I was busy working on this all day. So for you to come at me like this claiming this was based on your info is completely off base.
