Just want to say I appreciate all of your support over the past two months! I aim to keep pumping out some more tutorials, and even go into making some highlight videos. Things are loosening up for me at work, so I should be more active again. Thanks to everyone who's watched, liked, commented, sent feedback, and shared the videos!
The drop step is so op! When done often, it forces double team on your big man an open your 3point lines for a wide open three. I won a game like that with porzingis
I seen a few of your videos today. You the only one with a video with the tight post spin to the basket. I been doing that move since 22 came out. I’m very familiar with the post moves but I like some of those combos you did and definitely gonna work on them but I’m definitely gonna sub bro keep it up
Very few people know how effective that move is (in fact I would say it's a little bit too good lol). Thank you for the sub bro, and will definitely keep it up!
I'm really trying to get the post spin snatch back down but cannot get it to trigger at all (I'm on ps4 so its possible thats why I'm having difficulty).. I got the post spin nailed but holding down or left/right with the LS is not triggering ANYTHING, are you holding turbo? Pressing the square button? At what point are you releasing the LT? I should also point out that I typically play on the drive camera angle and my controller settings are on absolute
Hi Keith, unfortunately i think the issue is this animation is not possible on the PS4. I think the post animations are where current and next gen differ the most. But I cant confirm this, this is just based on other users telling me theyre having issues with this too. But if you want to keep trying. To hit the post spin snatchback/stepback, i just hold the left stick away from the basket after the spin, you can still hold LT even after the spin just let go after you the snatch animation occurs.
@@KevinCruz016 Thanks for the response, I had the feeling it was a console based issue.. have you run across any other animations off the top of your head that aren't possible on the ps4? I ask because like you I spend a ton of time in 2ku and I don't want to waste too much time attempting moves that aren't possible
After the post spin immediately hold the LS away from the basket. If you're spinning towards the baseline on the right side of the floor, try holding the left stick down and to the right after you rotate the RS counter clockwise.
@@KevinCruz016 the struggle I see in the rec now people can't left right cheese I'm glad this is where I learned to dribble I kind of feel comp thanks you and jerseymade
Which specific spin? Out of the back down/post up position just got to rotate the RS either direction and hold the left stick in the same direction of your launch. Are you referring to that or the other spin/post fade shots?
Appreciate the kind words man! Their in game tutorial are the barest of bare bones I've ever seen!! They have such a deep system for a lot of their game, wish they'd communicate them more to be honest!
@@KevinCruz016 You are exactly like us which focuses more on these type of moves and plays not those cheesy trash moves most players do online. Kudos to kevin!
Great tutorial Kevin, lot of things that helped elevate my post game in 2k22. But can you explain how you did the move with Jokic at 0.20 in the video? I know that its a double shimmy fake but im not sure in which direction you where holding the left stick or right stick in that move?
Im glad to hear that the videos are helping! For the move itself, hold L2+R2 and hold the RS down-left for the first shimmy, then it's a simple post-fade or hook fake by holding the RS down-right or up-right, then hold R2 again + down-left again for the third shimmy finish!
@@KevinCruz016 Thanks for the answer, im a big fan of Hakeem Olajuwon and irl i like to be creative in the post, just had trouble copying it to 2k so this helped a lot :)
Oooooh. I saw one dropstep animation I hadn't seen before. Very nice. This reminds me, have you seen MagicHeff's video about fighting for inside position with the LT after you create a good angle? That opens up so much for the high post area its insane. Even on the low block this opens up the possibility for the up and under bag to get deep.
I have not yet, but that's interesting! I am always looking for more ways to strengthen the high/mid-post game, which I thinks gets lost a lot in todays 2Ks.

We need a part 2, 3 and possibly 4
Appreciate you bro! Will keep building for sure!
@@KevinCruz016 Appreciate the unique content! Post Play tutorials even more so!
First tutorial I've seen that does more than just tell you the basic functions of post play. Thank you!
You're welcome! That's what we do here!
I don't know how I came across your youtube channel but I'm glad I did !
you have earned a new subscriber, thanks for the tutorials
Happy you found the channel!! Thanks for the support!
CRAZY VIDEO!
Appreciate the compliment my bro!
As usual, great stuff ! Great editing too. I like how you show the moves in a game after showing how to do them in freestyle.
Thanks man! Appreciate the feedback!
Can you post a current gen version
I dont have access to 2K22 current gen, but I will have access to 23 soon. I’ll see what I can do!

Having trouble with the post spin step-back. What’s the input?

Definitely earned a new sub…. Can’t wait to try these moves with Julius Randle!!!!
Julius Randle for sure one of the best guys to run these moves with because of his post and perimeter game! Thanks for the sub, appreciate it!
