When you have space between you and the defender, you will turn there shoulders when you crossover or drive. The side jumper will work to that side everytime. You could do a hesitation escape backwards and then crossover into a side jumper. If you blow by them it's a snatch back/step back jumper.
When do you recommend to shoot with square or right stick. For example (use square for the step back jumper and basically right stick for lay up and contact dunks??) basically …how do you consistently trigger the step back jumper
When using escape jumpers or stepbacks to counter contact, i recommend using the right stick. You want to keep holding the left stick towards the basket to keep your forward momentum. You can get away with using left stick and square to counter with escape jumpers, but sometimes it will kill your momentum and lead to slower escape jumpers.
