100 percent, I think this year its a little bit better. But the adrenaline boost system and dribble fatigue didnt go as far as I would like. Its still pretty forgiving. Hopefully they tune it a little bit more to really tax the left right play style enough

What difficulty are these videos shown on? I'm probably just not mastering the moves quite like you are, but I can't seem to get the same separation from the CPU on superstar... practice, practice, practice! Great work as always
well superstar is complete unrealistic trash cpu cheese. I had Luka guarding me and the amount of speed he had to stay glued to me was laughable. Luka's defense is crap irl
Hi Eric, I play on HOF, just to show that you can see some success. But the higher difficulty modes are designed to really try and limit the success you have, so my advice is to play on the difficulty you have the most fun with. Before you know it you'll be moving up difficulty when things get too easy! Also you guys only see the highlights, ya'll don't see the bricks I throw up at times lol! And yes Eric, we're all about putting the work in! Keep going bro!
LMAO, yeah had to go a little extra with Kyrie there, but even if you just keep it to the more basic launches, I still recommend these combos out of the triple threat!!
No you should be able to do it, try to make the first right stick input and the left stick input so fast in terms of execution that they’re almost overlapping. Just got to be really really quick!
That's a good question. Definitely won't get the same amount of separation as the elite sizeup packages, but my philosophy has always been you can set up anything as long as you force your defender to react to you rather than letting them dictate what you can do!
Any triple threat style should work, but these moves are dependent on the size-up packages of the player you are using. So I recommend a lot of the size-up packages that have a lot of space creation and speed to them!
@@babytone7288 definitely w gold agent and ankle and space creator all gold or higher. If you’re good you can smack pull-ups all day on defenders without silver or higher challenger
What's good bro!! Shout out to all the day one supporters out there! I think if you're good with your shot, shot meter off is still better because of the larger green window. I've always been a meter guy and get called noob for it lol, but that's because I don't stick with one guy and can't put the time in for all the guys I use to learn their release
Can I only tap RS to left on the triple threat, and why? Also I’m trying Donovan Mitchell and Curry, and neither one moves. Some times they barely dribble, let alone a tween dribble
Hey Michael! No you definitely can try tapping the RS in different directions, try seeing what kind of combos you get, especially with mixing up the left stick input and the other right stick input. Mitchell and Curry got some nice escape dribbles, so that shouldn't be the case. My advice is that it's maybe down to a timing thing. If you can give me more details, maybe I can try and help you out!
@@KevinCruz016 so when tapping should I be watching the animation for a queue. Or should I flick Rs, completely let go, then flick left stick. You did a slow mo, so maybe I’m not doing it long enough, or I’m holding them to long. I can trigger a tween dribble maybe 1 out of seven times
It looks like I was doing it way too fast. It’s like quick stops from last year, I flick, let go, flick. Then it’s crossing over. But if you just flick them one after the other it does to awkward hesi based on pivot foot
@@KevinCruz016 so I figured out that Its purely timing. So you can do it slow or fast but it gives a different window depending on the speed you flick right. I can do it like 10 times straight then I can’t like 7 times straight. But also no matter where you are on the arc, you can do the tween no matter which way you flick left stick. And the attacking size up out of it with curry is deadly. ESP into a escape shot
Holding turbo will result in an escape dribble or hesi escape. It's probably more of a timing thing, you almost want to make the first two inputs overlap (it's that fast), and then the last input should immediately follow.
OMG, Kev is doing the most with these tutorials, and he is covering every position from PG to Centers quality and knowledge as always. and i still can't believe that more is coming thanks Kev
@@SuperSwiftly It's the escapes and Zach is not in the game for my career yet. I will say the other move where you hold rt and flick up on the right stick then opposite the ball hand without turbo for the tween step back. That's controlled by the size-up escape and the moving crossover, believe it or not. and can be done with all current moves in the game. I suggest ones that move forward first, like KD, Kobe, and some others. otherwise, it creates far less space
Hey I noticed at the 2:31 mark on your controller after shooting with the ball in the air you move your left stick diagonal down left why is that ??? I have a habit of moving my left or right stick after a shot and I think its causing me to miss even when my player does a green animation
I'll be dropping a Lavine video by Sunday evening Philippine time! I won't have the level 40 since I'm out on MyTeam but I got a dope Lavine video dropping with some of my favorite combos!
Ngl, broadcast messes me up in terms of execution just because the LS input changes you'll really have to get the muscle memory down when you're near the baseline or even at the elbows!
The standard switch back? Or out of the triple threat? If it's out of the triple threat, it's really a timing thing. The right stick input and the left stick input are almost simultaneous in execution. Just keep working at it Tim! If you check my livestream from last saturday, you'll see that even I have difficulties in execution!
Yes Jamel, but I always say play on the difficulty that you have fun with! I just put this on HOF to show that you can do it on the highest difficulty, but you guys just don't see the bricks that I throw sometimes lol
If you hold the second RS tap it will launch you into an escape jumper. Just make sure it’s quick taps and not a hold, that should let you flow into the dribble move
Ngl it's really hard to read and react against elite defenders. I'm playing against Herb Jones with DeMar Derozan and I can almost never get an open shot.
@@KevinCruz016 Yeah I find attacking size ups and especially Demar’s in and out to be really useful. But I wanna be able to lull my defenders to sleep like Harden and then just blow by them. I’ve also found that initiating contact and reacting off of that helps out a lot against elite defenders. Before I would stray away from contact but now I’m taking it.
For some reason, that kyrie move at 8:11 doesn't seem to trigger for me. Isn't it if the ball is in your right hand, flick the right stick to ball hand then back to off hand?
that's part Zach Lavine's switch-back dribble animation! So with the ball on your left hand, quickly tap the right stick left then right to activate the pound dribble into escape dribble tween combo!
DOES ANYBODY KNOW HKW TO TURN ON THE SHOT METER WHEN DOING LAYUPS. IVE BEEN HAVING TO TIME MY LAYUPS WITHOUT A METER AND ITS BEEN DIFFICULT PLEASE HELP
i just don't get the timing you legacy plyers have in this game... everytime i try to do a step back the game wants to give me a double step back when all I did was press back on the analog.... also w/some of your shots to you ever use the Shot button to do them so its less complicated after a step back???
I know he’s saying tap this left and tap this right but i stillll don’t get it, I really wish he was showing it slowed down on the controller honestly, because this dude really knows a lot of good stuff I just find it hard to understand how he’s doing it
start with the triple threat tween dribble first. If you can do that, now it's about timing the second right stick input. so the timing of the right stick inputs are the same is if you were doing the moves with a live dribble. So it's quick double taps, the difficult part is usually timing the left stick input quickly after the first right stick input. So it's a fast almost overlapping input between the first right stick input, into the left stick input, and then even faster once you do the second right stick input for the combos. It's a difficult move to master, but once you start getting the timing down, you should be good! Give yourself time to try and learn it, and once it clicks, you won't be looking back!
@@KevinCruz016 I’ve been tryin like tap right on right stick then up on left but can’t I get it to work those moves are dope just tryin to do them is frustrating! I know how to play 2k just tryin to do these moves
I put a stream out to detail how this works in real time, but the best advice I can give is that the left stick and right stick inputs are almost simultaneous in the speed in which you execute them. Hit the right stick first and as you initiate on the right stick you should already be pushing on the left stick!
ahhh I feel like something has been missed here I've been trying to do the tween step back as you have stated RS left - LS up/right - RS left in quick secession.... unless you need to have a certian players dribble style to do this I don't this these moves are for any player....I feel this is a massive part of these moves you have left out because for like an hour i've been practising and yeah NUP.... must be something that either got patched or you left out some info. nice moves though
The escape dribble moves are player specific, because each player has their own dribble moves. You got to have the same dribble package equipped. Inputs are correct, the virtual controller overlay shows 1 to 1 inputs to the resulting animation. Just takes a lot of practice.
@@KevinCruz016 ok so as I said you left out OR I didn't hear the part about these moves being player specific...I was trying for like an hour to do one of these moves with kobe...I figured out a few things but yeah not these moves for kobe.

Defence and offence should be like a mind game with cutoffs and counters and they’re moving that way a bit but still needs a lot of work.
100 percent, I think this year its a little bit better. But the adrenaline boost system and dribble fatigue didnt go as far as I would like. Its still pretty forgiving. Hopefully they tune it a little bit more to really tax the left right play style enough
first of all, im a pc player and your videos make me wanna fucking buy a ps5 so i can play 2k23 next gen and have the experience youre having. this looks like real basketball!!! FINALLY!
love from Brazil bro! trully amazing content! 🔥
Hi Mateus, much love from the Philippines, I appreciate you!! How is the PS5 situation in Brazil? They raised the prices here in the Philippines, so I hope that it's not too bad in Brazil. I do hope that PC players finally get access to the next gen version in 2K24, but yes, the next gen 2k for 2k23 is absolutely incredible! Best playing basketball game I've played!!
Hi @@KevinCruz016! Price raising? That's bad. I think the ps5 situation is bad for both of our countries. Most brazilians cant afford one.
BUUUT I JUST BOUGHT MINE YESTERDAY (26/09). I'm beyond happy right now. I cant wait any longer for them to release the next gen for PC, been waiting for too long haha and you're videos influenced me on buying the console too.
Keep up the good work man! Soon you reaching 100k subs!
When you tap rs + ls-up right or left u need to hold turbo?
Don't hold turbo, it will result in a different move, but I've done the hold turbo method for a different set of set-ups :)
@@KevinCruz016 when I tap RS left or right without dribble then tap LS up right or left then tap RS left right it doesn't perform the between the legs though
Ok whats a ‘tween’ dribble?? Between the legs I assume?
Yeah, between the legs crossover!
@@KevinCruz016 Thanks man 👍
One more question I've been using Zach Levine hop jumper I love the animations but I struggle getting the shots to go down any advice you can give I would really appreciate it #newsub
Appreciate you bro!! Yeah, I had trouble too when using his sigs at first, I did notice that some of his step back jumpers can be pretty quick in terms of timing. So practice each specific animation, that will really help you get the timing down!
@@KevinCruz016 thanks bro !!
Cool, but try that in the rec though. Everything works in my career
I've been playing online in 2K my entire life, whatever I can do offline, I can do online.
Are you tapping x/square for your step backs or are you holding right stick
I’ve always been a square guy, i just feel like it gives me more control into the direction I want to go to!
@@KevinCruz016 so do you tap x/square while hold the right stick diagonal down right or left or how are stepbacks preformed Brotha if you don’t mind me asking cause I am a x/square guy too ?
@@KevinCruz016 ok perfect i feel the same because when trying to emulate you I've been more successful tapping that button as well
Hello I just wanted to know what is your release timing?
Hey Tristan, its on Early!
@@KevinCruz016 thanks for the response! Its just my first time playing 2k23 so i was just amaze on how you play and wanted to be as good as you are so i started subscribing on your channel. More uploads to come ❤️
Have you noticed any difference in how the cpu defends in ps4 compared to ps5? Good video
Thanks! But I have not played ps4 gen yet, so i cant say for sure
In this kind of fluidity xbox needed to upgrade their bluetooth controller to be able to make this move feel more responsive than ever.
Is the xbox controller bad in terms of input delay?
@@KevinCruz016 im not sure maybe im the only one hahhhaha
@@KevinCruz016 Or maybe my 60hz monitor? haha.. Do you use the Camera of Absolute in dribbling
@@KevinCruz016 oh wait? I was caught up by the triple threat. I can do the switch thingy by just playing with the RS, but doing triple threat escapes doesn't lose you adrenaline bars? but how?
@@KevinCruz016 thats why I cant do it because im not doing the triple threat haha. So it will lose me a single adrenaline if I use triple threat escapes
You’re the man
Appreciate you Israel!!!! Hopefully the stuff you guys pick up from the videos, we all elevate our game!
5:24 😳😳🔥🔥
This made my jaw drop in real time!! Zach Lavine is the truth!!!!
Hall of fame
Hi Eric, I play on HOF, just to show that you can see some success. But the higher difficulty modes are designed to really try and limit the success you have, so my advice is to play on the difficulty you have the most fun with. Before you know it you'll be moving up difficulty when things get too easy! Also you guys only see the highlights, ya'll don't see the bricks I throw up at times lol! And yes Eric, we're all about putting the work in! Keep going bro!
There is some of that too for sure byus!
@@byus6928 fr i feel like game developers think a harder dificulty in 2k means the cpu hitting every shot and locking u up like prime mj
7:37 that's too much for my blood
LMAO, yeah had to go a little extra with Kyrie there, but even if you just keep it to the more basic launches, I still recommend these combos out of the triple threat!!
So do these moves depend on a players triple threat style or their signature size ups??
Yup, its the most powerful with guys who have really sizeup packages. Someone like PG, KD, Kyrie, Harden would be dynamic out of these
@@KevinCruz016 ok good stuff I got PG size up for my myplayer so I'll be in the lab for sure thanks man
@@Classic_secondline I love the PG size-up! You should be good! The attacking size-up combo will be a killer using PG!
I can't do it with my 80ball handling build,dose it requires 86+ball handling ?
No you should be able to do it, try to make the first right stick input and the left stick input so fast in terms of execution that they’re almost overlapping. Just got to be really really quick!
How effective are these launch moves w/ bigs that have just normal packages?
That's a good question. Definitely won't get the same amount of separation as the elite sizeup packages, but my philosophy has always been you can set up anything as long as you force your defender to react to you rather than letting them dictate what you can do!
You need triple threat style to do?
Any triple threat style should work, but these moves are dependent on the size-up packages of the player you are using. So I recommend a lot of the size-up packages that have a lot of space creation and speed to them!
What size up do u recommend and can we see some online gameplay
@@jasonsmith1021 this shit do not work online
@@babytone7288 definitely w gold agent and ankle and space creator all gold or higher. If you’re good you can smack pull-ups all day on defenders without silver or higher challenger
Is using the shot meter the thing for this 2k? I been seeing a lot of TH-camrs using it lately
Can’t activate the move for some reason. Do I have to hold R2, when I tap the Right and the left stick?
This dribble moves is for current gen too ?
For some reason I can’t do the launches. Do I have to hold turbo or something?
Holding turbo will result in an escape dribble or hesi escape.
It's probably more of a timing thing, you almost want to make the first two inputs overlap (it's that fast), and then the last input should immediately follow.
@@KevinCruz016 oh shit it actually worked lol. Thanks. You have to input really fast
OMG, Kev is doing the most with these tutorials, and he is covering every position from PG to Centers
quality and knowledge as always. and i still can't believe that more is coming
thanks Kev
Appreciate you Stephane!!!!!! You know how we do it bro! And definitely we are just getting started!!
@@KevinCruz016 i Knew this year will be legendary
so far only Legendary stuff out here
Is it the size ups or the size up escape packages that give you the launch animations?
Yea I wanna know this too
@@SuperSwiftly It's the escapes and Zach is not in the game for my career yet.
Got u
Any Rec moves?
These should be fire in the rec bro!
U get token market lavine?
I have not gotten time to play MyTeam bro! This lab grind has basically been all I do with the game!
I made a guard post score Who is this fast for Big’s and too strong for cords it works really well
That sounds filthy bro!!
Hey I noticed at the 2:31 mark on your controller after shooting with the ball in the air you move your left stick diagonal down left why is that ???
I have a habit of moving my left or right stick after a shot and I think its causing me to miss even when my player does a green animation
No reason! I was just being impatient and wanted to move to the next spot since I knew the shot was green!
@@KevinCruz016 oh ok I thought there was some deep science behind it 😄
Most of my dribble moves are Zach LaVine's; he has great size-ups
100 percent!! 2K23 version of Zach Lavine is the GOAT!
Will you do an update with the lvl 40 Zach lavine I'm gonna get him soon I wonder if you have learned anything new with him
I'll be dropping a Lavine video by Sunday evening Philippine time! I won't have the level 40 since I'm out on MyTeam but I got a dope Lavine video dropping with some of my favorite combos!
@@KevinCruz016 are you not playing myteam anymore?
This is already hard in itself, but more so when I try using broadcast stadium camera LOL
Ngl, broadcast messes me up in terms of execution just because the LS input changes you'll really have to get the muscle memory down when you're near the baseline or even at the elbows!
Literally went into 2ku and couldn’t trigger the switchback combo
The standard switch back? Or out of the triple threat? If it's out of the triple threat, it's really a timing thing. The right stick input and the left stick input are almost simultaneous in execution. Just keep working at it Tim! If you check my livestream from last saturday, you'll see that even I have difficulties in execution!
Hey are you playing on hof?
Yup. That’s the only difficulty he plays on.
Yes Jamel, but I always say play on the difficulty that you have fun with! I just put this on HOF to show that you can do it on the highest difficulty, but you guys just don't see the bricks that I throw sometimes lol
When I do the triple threat tween escape I’m getting a shot attempt and not the animation you’re getting any tips on what I’m doing wrong Kev?
I’m using Zach Levine in 2Ku
If you hold the second RS tap it will launch you into an escape jumper. Just make sure it’s quick taps and not a hold, that should let you flow into the dribble move
Ngl it's really hard to read and react against elite defenders. I'm playing against Herb Jones with DeMar Derozan and I can almost never get an open shot.
Try using the more shifty moves like attack crossovers, but you're right, going up against elite defenders can get really difficult!
Gonna look back to this bro, I’ll get back to you!
@Kevin Cruz nvm nvm, I figured out why it wasn't activating. Thanks though. Animation is clean
How did you do the pound dribble?
that's part Zach Lavine's switch-back dribble animation! So with the ball on your left hand, quickly tap the right stick left then right to activate the pound dribble into escape dribble tween combo!
@@KevinCruz016 thank you
Have you tried Kobes triple threat?
Yeah, but got to look more closely at Kobe! He still doesnt feel as upgraded as I would like but maybe im missing something!
DOES ANYBODY KNOW HKW TO TURN ON THE SHOT METER WHEN DOING LAYUPS. IVE BEEN HAVING TO TIME MY LAYUPS WITHOUT A METER AND ITS BEEN DIFFICULT PLEASE HELP
If you use lay-ups on the pro stick, turn pro stick on only. But you will not get metered layups if you use the shot button.
i just don't get the timing you legacy plyers have in this game... everytime i try to do a step back the game wants to give me a double step back when all I did was press back on the analog.... also w/some of your shots to you ever use the Shot button to do them so its less complicated after a step back???
Do ALLEN IVERSON MOVES 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
After I'm done with the general tutorials, I'm going into player specific packages for sure and AI's got some filthy moves!
Is this work in nba 2k22?
Unfortunately no, these are new to 2k23!
@@KevinCruz016 Thanks bru!
I know he’s saying tap this left and tap this right but i stillll don’t get it, I really wish he was showing it slowed down on the controller honestly, because this dude really knows a lot of good stuff I just find it hard to understand how he’s doing it
Can’t do these what am I doing wrong ?
start with the triple threat tween dribble first.
A put zack lavin size up , and dont get the nice combo u did , on my player ,
Which combo man?
I must not understand the timing on the sticks how do you move like this…
I put a stream out to detail how this works in real time, but the best advice I can give is that the left stick and right stick inputs are almost simultaneous in the speed in which you execute them.
