where i live they are now working animals who are treated well, full field of other animals like cows, sheep , other horses, and feed oats and free to run, for only one reason, they are the best watch dogs any farm could have, and they will defend against coyotes or stray dogs and are loyal like a dog when treated good, and are fun and funny animals when they are happy

What I find amazing about this is that you still cared enough to save that animal. No one was there to judge you, and yet for no reason at all, you so a donkey in distress and decided to do everything. Goes to show you are a real man. If you were to visit India your heart would break as to see all the street dogs, cats, and paws living in bizarre conditions, without a home, because families themselves don't care enough for them. I wish we could have the change of perception towards them like you guys have over there. I asked my family one day to adopt a rescue and they said no, plainly explaining that they don't want to be licked, have to clean feces and "waste" extra time taking care of them. I kept on showing them, but they still don't understand or love these poor animals. I wish I could change people's perceptions. Street rescues are always smarter.
It's funny. I've been following your wonderful rescue work for so long. I've always marvelled at the capacity of dogs, who have suffered unspeakable abuse at the hands of people, to be able to trust again. There's always that magical moment when the animal decides to stop fighting and trust you. Afterwards, we see the dog full of joy and love - wagging it's tail and licking every face it can find. Now I think I just saw the same thing with a donkey! At the end when you are beside the animal who's joyously feeding on the lush green grass, we can really see the happiness in it's expression! The donkey is truly happy! I know I've told you this many times, but you are a true angel my man. We all admire and appreciate what you do so much. We are truly blessed as human beings to have such a wonderful man like you among us. I love you. We all do.

I had to watch this a few times for my tears. Being in the wrong place was SOO right in Eldad's case, he met his Angel! I love the way he alerted you to his tied legs, so intelligent n I guess of his past, was afraid of the confined space, hence the refusal at first. God made the animals first. And Adam's first job was to name them. Now if they were "just dumb animals", why did God take the time to make so many different kinds? Why did He make Adam name them? And why, if they are insignificant, did He include this information in the Bible? There was so much other stuff He could have put there. "Why did He have Noah save them in the ark? I could go on, but I think it is a point that has been made. God loves them, too.

We hear about that from time to time when donkeys are old and infirm mostly and their owners disregard the fact these animals usually worked hard for them for many years faithful and good. And this is how they pay their debt back to the animal. Oh and when I say we I mean here in the USA so do not think this is only an issue elsewhere. It happens everywhere.
Hope For Paws were sent to earth for a very good reason. Rescuing animals. This one is one of a classic example of that. They took the wrong turning by accident and some divine intervention from the donkey's point of view, saw him with an injured leg on the side of the road. 'HFP' came to the rescue and saved him. Absolutely beautiful. Well done guys - amazing job!
