For many centuries scholars, historians, and archaeologists have debated whether there is evidence for Hebrews living in Egyptian slavery. Jeremy and Justin visit Tell El Dab'a, also known as Avaris, a place that some consider to be the biblical land of Goshen, as they consider the conditions that the Hebew slaves would have lived in.
The latest feature-length documentary from Appian Media, ""Out of Egypt"" follows a group of filmmakers as they attempt the Exodus journey, as God led the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, through the wilderness of Jordan, and to the Promised Land of Israel. As they delve deep into the history, culture, and geography of the Exodus, they consider how God can take each of us on a journey from slavery to salvation."

"I don't know what town we're in". Looks like Abu Kibir on the way to Zagazig, which was ancient Bubastis. I was working on a dig between Avaris and there and often had to travel through Abu Kibir. We required a similar security convoy.
Excellent series guys. Very high production and well done.

@@appianmedia we were excavating a predynastic settlement just west of Tel el Daba. Was during my Egyptology undergrad as a field school. I would love to assist with any future Egypt-related work, even as a consultant. Sent an email in.

It is very very difficult to get permission to film in the area of Tell el Daba. Actually, Jim Scudder (InGrace) wasn't able to get any pictures from there.
Thank you for getting that footage! Blessings.

Looking forward to the screening in Tampa soon. You should read "The Origin of the Hebrews" By Dr Douglas Petrovich. An academic publication, therefore well researched, showing the presence of the Hebrew in Egypt. Well worth your time although it is a bit of slog (academic...)
