Thanks mate! The 3D printed parts are great for the hobby as they are extremely cheap but work well. If you have a friend with 3D printer you can make yourself very affordable high end parts! I am strong advocate for the DIY approach ;)
@@57uyo man that looks pretty darn close to the real thing. I am guessing that if you manage to make it better you will be hired as a senior engineer in some automotive company.
That looks so awesome! I just ordered the parts and will start printing the parts now. For the cabling would you be able to to to just solder the microswitches to a RJ12 cable and plug it directly into a wheel base?
No, do not have such issues. DD is plugged directly on motherboard as all the motion platform and amps, other peripherals are on a powered usb hub - no misshifts or issues whatsoever.
Stuyo hello! I am hoping you can help me, I am doing your E-Stop project. I am using same components you did. I have soldered and did wiring but possibly did incorrectly. Am I able to get in touch with you to be able to correct my issue? I would greatly appreciate it. Also, great video! :D
Thanks mate! The Fanatec e-stop you mean? It is pretty simple wiring. You can get in touch on the discord channel (linked in description). Here is the pinout: www.reddit.com/r/Fanatec/comments/n888g7/dd1_power_switch_diy_trial_run/?
Goddamnit stuyo im waiting for parts to build 2.0 :))). now u upgrade it!!. Do i need other parts to build 2.5? :( which parts are different in the 2.5?
I also add more magnets to the paddle shifters on my rims to get a better tactile feed back from upshifts and downshifts. Very nice my friend.
