Steve McQueen is my working class hero....from stripping asbestos out of scrap ships to 275's, 250 Lussos and super models... He lived a bit for all of us less fortunate.
That was Steve Thru and thru... He was VERY nice to me, Sebring 1970 But, then,I took his mind off the broken ankle. Sadly I agree. There are „normal“ 275s and there is ONE Steve-McQueen-275. All the „normals“ can be restored and look just gorgeous. But the two or three special ones, those that won races or had special owners should be preserved as they are. If I had the „Steve-McQueen-Car“, I might even put some transparent cover over it just to preserve the patina. And it would be even better with some dirt from Steve`s last cigarette in the ashtray.
That's not a "Spyder", not a Convertible! Vicki sat on top of a convertible in that scene from the "Thomas Crown" movie and it also wasn't Steve McQueen who drove it in that movie. It was Vicki's car!
Two women drove the NART Spyder to a GT win at Sebring, 1970 Macluggage and/or Mims...I forget.. Car DRIVEN down from NY... Mufflers off! One set of tires... Against a pro driven GT-350... lap after lap.. 3:20 - 3:25 Testa-Rossa Times! AC Cobras GS Corvette 1964... Box Stock! About the LAST time one could do that.
The original steel knock-off wheels that came stock on the 4 valve where the better wheel. They were lighter and stronger and stayed in balance MUCH longer.
Look up the 12 GTB-C's built for racing Alloy 275P sohc engines.. GT winners at Le Mans 1965 -1968... Yellow cars from Belgium! 3rd OA in '65! Scuderia Francorchamps.. Fllipenneti...
Why ever not ? Just because a car costs a lot doesn't make it any more expensive to mend. It still costs the same amount to straighten out whether it's worth ten thousand or ten million. Plus the guy with ten million can find a few thousand for the repairs a lot more easily than Joe Average. People who claim that their car is "worth too much to drive", never intended to drive it in the first place - they'd be just as happy with a painting or property, as long as it goes up in price.
McQueen Had all the right Dream Car's. An Motorcycles An Pickup Trucks. The Chevy Pickup in the Getaway Movie Slim Pickens Drove at Ending. He also Got M O R E ASS Then Toilet SEAT!! YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE Bank!!
c'mon a early 60s Vette was just as nice, a couple grand cheaper and still within the realm of reality...this whole Ferrari thing is just based on it's limited production, but without the USA most guys will never own a cool car.
oh these vintage ferraris are absolutely fucking gorgeous

Music way too loud
stop the music to loud
Beautiful
I have nothing with the new Ferrari's but the classics are great.
Sadly, it's over restored! Nothing left in the car, that McQueen ever touched in the past.

Yup, clueless owners with money want shiny objects, no regards for the history.
This would go from being an "okay" video to being a GREAT video if you would turn down the freakin' music.
very nice. although I would have preferred insightful commentary of how the car handles and feels.
That's not a "Spyder", not a Convertible! Vicki sat on top of a convertible in that scene from the "Thomas Crown" movie and it also wasn't Steve McQueen who drove it in that movie. It was Vicki's car!
This is a man's car. For a man!

Faltan más muchas más imágenes del AUTO!
Whats the music used around the 2 minute mark?
My cousins husband Steven Wright worked for McQueen up until his death.Solar productions was the company. He restored a lot of bikes for Steve.
inagod He autographed a picture for Steven Wright to send to my mother[from the movie bullit] nice guy
Junior Conway is the greatest auto painter in the world. Kudos to Juniors house of color in So. Cal.
Be a lot better without crappy music.
super..
Who actually has the nerve to spend $10 million dollars for a car and then actually drive it out on streets with all the crazy drivers out there?

hubba hubba ~ my all-time favourite Ferrari
I find myself in full agreement with mercoid, barthoedemaker, Geoffrey and Paul.

*Cool: Steve Mc Queen: The Super Movie Star his Super Car! Watch his Movie Le Mans! - Have a Great Day! - Cheers, René Broné*
only about 2-3 millions...outch
Dump that stupid music.
I would rather have BISSET Any day!
Get ready for a flop, they are going to remake "The Getaway". There's no one that can duplicate McQueen or the electricity between McGraw and McQueen.
Fabulous car, irritating music.
i was about to,,, but i'll refrain.
Yeah. Ok. Right. Shure. Whatever...
nice looking car,but would rather have a early E type .
the hell with steve mcqueen, he's a cool guy but i wouldnt pay a 20 million dollar premium for a car he (briefly) owned
He owned the car for 4 years
