Even in the "best" bar, unattended drink is a bad idea. As a man, I feel a lot less pressure to be careful (anyway, I'm not going in bar that much : I'm too old for that hehe! And when I was young, it was less of a thing the drugs in the drink... or less known). But, for women, it should be a rule to keep your glasses in front of you : always on the radar. And... maybe be less cocky about "men are always buying me my drinks"... let men that you know (for more than an hour) do so, not the "stranger danger"!

17:54 I actually want to add on this because its fascinating. The reason this difference in color genders changed was in fact due to homophobia. To be more specific, it was because of Hitler.
Depending on why you were imprisoned in a concentration camp, you would be assigned different symbols to sew onto your uniform to identify you to the guards so that they know where to best put you. Political prisoners wore red triangles, criminals wore green triangles, jehovah's witnesses wore purple triangles, etc. People who were imprisoned for being queer were given pink triangles. This is also how the pink triangle became a symbol of queer liberation, though it's rarely used by the younger generations nowadays.
But thanks to Hitler's categorization system for prisoners in concentration camps, the color pink started to become associated with homosexuality. And being a gay man is far more heavily stigmatized than gay women in the west. Parents did not want their sons wearing a color associated with homosexuality. Thus resulting in parents having their children swap wardrobes.

Girls wore blue because they were sturdier, and usually survived infant hood. I don't know why it changed. And I've forgotten when it changed. Getting old...

Seriously, though. One of my son's favorite colors is pink. Same as the girl he has a crush on.
He's always been attracted to the kitchen, too. His 24 egg omelet he made on the floor at 2 is our favorite to share. He got out a pan, spatula, and a stick of butter, too. We invested in a whole kitchen set fir him after that, including a dozen egg matching puzzle he would Crack to make his Spiderman an omelet.
He was making his own scrambled eggs by 5, and still helps a lot in the kitchen. My grandfather was a cook I'm the military, and my uncles are all great home chefs. My brothers all cook, too, and only one is single. And he hosts parties to share his homebrew beers.
I also remember reading a story where a young boy mended another boy's pants, saying he learned so he wouldn't get in trouble with his mom for tearing his good clothes.
It really cemented my idea that there is no ''women's work'' or ''men's work''. Just a set of skills to learn to make your life easier.
As an artist, the idea of ''boy colors'' and ''girl colors'' is silly. If colors had genders, then they wouldn't all be able to mix to make a new baby colors. But they do.

I worked as a bartender in a college town and the rules were 1) leave a drink unattended it is picked up. 2) after 2:00 am the drinks will be picked up, even if they are in your hand. 3) assault a member of staff and you will end up in the emergency room. They're pretty simple rules but every few months some drunk would try getting around them. The local cops don't care if you're crying and bleeding, if assault charges are pressed you are going to jail. We're sober, you're not, end of story. If you can't drink responsibly then don't drink at all.

In regards to the first story: I work as a hot dog vendor on a very well known street. Now on my hot dog cart there are 3 big yellow signs written in black magic marker that say "CASH ONLY!!! NO $50 OR $100 BILLS ACCEPTED. TIPS WELCOME". The signs are 14" by 14". Even a blind person could see them. Yet I get these rich tourists ordering a hot dog and then handing me a credit card. When I point out the signs to them they get mad and say they should get a free hot dog for not being informed. I just ask them didn't that expensive college teach you how to read? Or they try to give me a $50 or $100 bill to pay for a $6.50 hot dog and I refuse the bill. Boy that really tears them up because they have lost face in front of their friends. And some of them want to fight me because they say the signs don't pertain to them since they are from out of town. Even had one guy arrested for threatening to fight me and steal the hot dog. I meet so many entitled people out there. The ones that are the most polite are the people from other countries visiting our city. It's the rich Americans that cause all the trouble because they can't or refuse to read the obvious signs or think they are so above everyone that the signs are not meant for them. Sit on it. Keep your card and your big bills because you sure as hell aren't getting a hot dog.

And for last but NOT LEAST, FORGERY AND FRAUD are FELONY level CRIMINAL charges. Kren will be thrown atraight to prison!!!!

Story 2: I’d like to see that Karen pull that off in my neighborhood full of cops. Especially with quite a few of my neighbors being K9 officers.
Story 3: my husband and I made a promise that we won’t interfere in what our kids want to play with and like. Our son was 3 when our daughter was born. Grandma accidentally bought my daughter a pink unicorn rainbow jumpsuit that was too big but fit my son. My son said he wanted to wear it. It’s currently hanging in his closet. He’s never asked to wear it. If he does, he’s more than welcome to. My daughter’s favorite toy is her brother’s Rubble, Paw Patrol, plush. Rubble is a male character. We got her her own Rubble to play with.

My son’s favorite color at 2 was pink. He’s 9 now and likes girls (and green). Leave kids alone!

Boys wear RED! When I was 14-15 I had this large completely Stop sign red sweater that I liked to wear at school. I told my foster parents that nobody would care if I wore red, as I had already seen other teenage boys wearing some red at school. So against their advice I wore it at school. The only comments I got was that the sweater was cool.

Ladies' Home Journal article in June 1918 said, "The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl." So the commentator who mentioned this was definitely telling the truth. I would love to tell that entitled aunt that blue is delicate and dainty. 😂

Blue was originally thought to ward off evil spirits. Pink was given to girls because...quite frankly, it was arbitrary. Once we stopped believing in such things, we just held onto it for whatever reason, wouldn't be the first time. That being said, as a CIS male, I would be perfectly comfortable walking about town with a purple cast. Not to say I'd be all that upset with a pink one, but the point remains, I never really saw purple as a "Girl color." On that note, good on OP for that reply. That was beautiful.

S1 - Honestly, beyond the hope to not have a super cluttered place full of half-empty drink glasses, any glass left unattended could have a roofie in it. So that policy is a solid “customer safety” tool.
