Brilliant....I served with the British Army and my son does all this Airsoft madness lol, I thought this was so informative and really educated regarding the presentation!!! Excellent... if you can bring out vids regarding how to assemble and disassemble and what tweaks you could do to achieve something great....Brilliant... well done 👏
As an airsoft noob, these are EXTREMELY HELPFUL! Easiest to understand guides I've found so far. You sir are great and so are your videos. Thanks so much man, keep up the great work (:
AllmightyMilpil Thank you so much! I appreciate hearing the communities feedback. It helps me either continue my work or helps me know how to fix it. My goal is to create videos that are easy to understand but still goes in depth of the topic. Thanks again, I always appreciate hearing that people enjoy my work.
This was very informative, as I'm currently upgrading my AEG, and was wondering how an Hop Up upgrade would work (Unfortunately my gun seems to use a proprietary Hop Up unit, so I can't just upgrade that, too). The diagrams, while a tiny bit cheesy (The slightly obsessive side of me cried at the lack of ruler usage, but I shut it up by looking at new Airsoft gubbins for a while.), we were good as illustrating the internals of how a Hop Up nub works. You're very concise on camera, enunciated clearly, and don't mumble, or leave too much dead air. This video deserves far more likes.
Thanks, unfortunately my channel isn't quite big yet, and I really do appreciate your feedback :) Now, as for the hop-up question. Just as my luck has it almost every gun I own (Except my M27 and SRC M4) Have proprietary hop-up units. May I ask what specific gun or gun type you have?
Tinblitz Yes, unfortunately the VFC Scar hop-up's are very....special. So, you couldn't exactly buy a metal or upgraded hop-up unit however, it's not too important. Another note is that most buckings don't fit into the VFC hop-up chambers. So, unless you shave one, you'll have to keep that too. The biggest upgrade you could do would be to install flat-hop and a better inner barrel. Or just an upgraded nub of any sort. And one more thing to keep in mind: Tight-bore for accuracy at closer ranges (CQB), Wide-bore for accuracy at longer ranges (DMR).
This is really a nice video, specially for somebody like me, that just started to play airsoft. Tomorrow the gonna deliver my first baby. a JG M4 CQB-R from airrattle. Would you recommend to upgrade the Hup up bucket and inner barrel on this gun? And any idea how long this inner barrel is on this gun? Thanks and keep op good work with your videos
Hi, I am looking for my hop up chamber, and saw a hole in the upperside of it. Can I to close it? Can It maybe do a leak? It is an G&G gray hop up unit! Plastic maiden. Thanks!
I am looking into a new tightbore and the inner barrel length of my gun is 455mm and I'm getting a 455mm barrel I don't know if it will stick out though I wouldn't think so but most people say it is mainly for AK's and they run a bit longer though I do run a MK12 platform but people say it is still compatiable with most AEG's as well as an M4 platform and I was wondering if I could get your opinion if it would work or stick out of the barrel. Also when getting a new barrel will I have to upgrade my hop-up mine is pretty bad it is plastic but I don't really feel to spend money on a new hop-up.
Hey, thanks for your comment. If your new barrel matches the stock length, there's no problem. It's the same. And about the hop up, it's not necessary to get a new one although it's recommended. You can upgrade one thing at a time.
I wish you followed this series because it's SO WELL EXPLAINED

The VFC Scar L. Which I notice you have the H version of. So you must know what it's like.

Oh, that's very helpful, thank you. I both love and hate my VFC for those reasons. Such a nice exterior, such an... awkward interior.
Tinblitz Don't even get me started :P my VFC HK417 was a sexy goddess on the outside but my God the inside was a mess and a half!

how does the different materials actually effect the performance rather than just being a different material thats more expensive?
Man, great job :-)
Nice drawing

What size of inner Barrel Will fits in an G&g ARP9? 141mm?

Haha Nice! You have a minigun?
+1 sub, very nice
thanks!
FaRcRyKiNg1 Thank you so much :) Your feedback means a lot.
are all hop ups universal?
mega monkey No, just like gearboxes different gun types have different types of hop-ups.
does anybody know what the outer spring on an m4 hop-up does? Or is it pointless
Kenji Shimano It alows the hop-up unit to move a bit since the air nozzle has to retract and load a BB into it every cycle.
thank you : )
