such an entertaining childish way to do a proper motoring journalist test lol these guys were geniuses in their own right, if they were even the creative minds behind it all.

Helium can indeed be deadly if it displaces too much of the oxygen. But they obviously used a tank small enough that even if none leaked out it would still be perfectly safe.
Yeah inert gasses in an inclosed space can be quite dangerous. Your body and brain mostly ignore their presence because we are breathing them in constantly and they aren’t themselves harmful. But if they displace enough of the oxygen you will very quickly pass out with little to no warning signs
@@cyris917 yep, humans can't really detect the lack of oxygen. In the case of a car, a typical disposable helium tank would only displace about 10% of the air, so not a danger at all. At least in Australia, the regulations now require 21% oxygen to be mixed with the helium to eliminate the danger of asphyxiation.

The British accent adds to entertainment value of the helium
Richard’s “aww” always makes me laugh lmao
And the way Jeremy transforms into Alan Carr hahaha
Surely Hammond’s voice didn’t change because it’s already so high pitched
Helium can indeed be deadly if it displaces too much of the oxygen. But they obviously used a tank small enough that even if none leaked out it would still be perfectly safe.
Also notice James and Jeremy have a similar reaction/response to the helium when they hop out of the car, the neurological effects

Clarkson sounds like that one dinner lady
this needs 10× the likes
I don't know why Jeremy and James are upset, they won...
But at what cost? 😂
I think the reason that Richards voice was normal was because he coughed, so the roof was probably fitted perfectly well 😂
nah a cough wouldn't get rid of all the helium and imidiatly after coughing he gasped
