That picture on the piece of wood is by Tasha Tudor, famous artist and illustrator, who is very worth looking up if you are not familiar. She was fabulous and interesting. I actually got to meet her once. You found a treasure!
I too enjoy wrapping gifts. I try to buy and wrap my gifts early so I can have time with all the gifts under the tree. A variety of papers and adornments really makes the packages look pretty under the tree.
I love the stocking patterns, the colors, textures…they are all beautiful! The bells you found to go with them really sets them off. 🔔 Also your thrift finds are so wonderful! In thinking about what my fave treasure is, it’s a toss up between the wrapping papers and the plates. But I also adore all of the brass items as well…🤔😍✨ I can only imagine how beautiful everything will be when it’s all out to be enjoyed. You’re very inspiring! Thank you for sharing it all. 😊
We always had huge stockings too! It's still a big deal in our family even now that we all have our own families. The adults now draw names at Christmas dinner for whose stocking they need to fill for the next year. Stockings are serious business in our family. I love these patterns. Somebody may be getting a stocking in their stocking this year!!
My husband refuses to do Christmas or birthdays but I enjoy them. Last year when I put up our tree he requested that I make all of the ornaments so I did make probably 85% of them. Tree still sat bare underneath but at least I felt like he enjoyed the tree. Keeps me from getting down. We don’t have any friends or family here so I feel like it’s very important to at least try. I love thrifting and it looks like you found some amazing things! Congratulations on your pattern, I can’t wait! 🌻
Nikol what a beautiful podcast, socks are stunning, what a labor of love, I am gonna purchase some patterns and make for my family for next year, , your thrift finds are adorable ❤, have a wonderful weekend, hugs❤
I love getting things for my kids’ stockings. They’re all grown but I still do it. I’d love ideas of what types of things you put in yours. I do a lot of the same things every year.
I'm happy to share some ideas! I do a lot of the same things too…I will talk more about this in an upcoming video, but I always do a book, usually hand knit socks, underwear (because it’s tradition), some kind of edible treat, something that coincides with a hobby they have (this year there is a harmonica and a book embosser), etc.
I’m a new subscriber! Liking everything about your post! I’m a knitter and thrifter, and I love rustic and simple decor. Thank you from Washington state!
Love this episode very much!!!! Stockings are gorgeous and good luck with the launch. I also love your style of decorating and those 1st set of plates are so me!!!! You were very successful in all your finds, my type of shopping ❤❤❤ Kathy from Massachusetts
LOVE those stockings! Excited for the patterns to come out! Enjoy your channel so much! Each episode gives me such joy to watch! Thank you for your efforts ❤
I love that they are BIG. They will look great on the fireplace and my family are all stocking lovers too so they will automatically be a hit. Thank you Nikol for getting these out early enough to be able to make some. By next Christmas, all the family members can have one 😊 Thrift stores are the best!! I have gotten some pretty great deals. Thanks again for a wonderful podcast.
Love thrifting and antiquing! Very pretty black and white transfer ware plates. Why buy new when you can get something twice as nice for half the price.
Nikol, just a thought on the socks, do you think the fisherman's wool yarn would work for the socks, maybe they will be stiffer, not sure about the idea, thank you
Hi Kimberly! I think you’re right…it will probably make a bit of a denser fabric, but it doesn’t seem that fisherman’s wool is much thicker where it would be a disaster! Maybe swatch it? (I can’t believe I typed that 😂)
I love your down to earth videos!! I did go on to ravelry to purchase your stocking pattern but I did not see the link to purchase. Can you help me with this? Thank you again for a great video and the thrifting!!
Thank you, Nancy! I’m having some problems with Ravelry, so for now, Etsy is the only place to purchase until I am able to fix the issue. Ravelry seems to have some restrictions with bundles. 🤷🏻♀️

Congrats on your pattern release! I love finding unique things at thrifts shops too. Will you show how you wrap your gifts?
Thank you! Yes, I would love to!❤️

Absolutely!❤️
The wooden piece has a vintage Tasha Tudor Christmas card.
Will pattern also be on Ravelry?
I am trying to get it up on Ravelry as well…it’s not as user-friendly for uploading, but I am working on it! ❤️

@ I will go over to Etsy!!!!!!
Question. What do you stuff your stockings with? I’m interested.
Thanks for the question! I will show you once I gather everything…it’s different every year, but I am happy to share ideas!❤️
Are the stockings knit with one stand of dk or two? Also what size needles did you use?
Hi Laurie! Two strands…US 10 needles 👍
