I could watch that combine in that wheat all day. That background of the corn and the sky with the combine running through the wheat was a beautiful site. Life is good JT.
JD 4420 did fine it looked like. You know what they say, (whomever they is,) She might not be the prettiest girl at the party, but boy, she can dance........

it was more of a wish that there would be 68 B on your piece of land, because I wish you all the best. I'll soon finish sanding off the rust on the tractor mower, thanks for the tip. I'm writing on google translate, so sorry if it's a bit strange
We cut wheat this year fought it all the JD 9500 with 25 ft head started. Out wheat tested 16/ 17 but straw was to wet slugged the combine and stopped, tries next day wheat 15 percent but straw still wet plugged combine again, then it rained 😮
JT I’ve harvested many many acres of oats, Barley, and wheat both what we grew for the farm, and custom harvesting. It looks great. I love hearing the sound of the combine.
I recognize that scale ticket! My wheat came out exactly the same as yours. But, I had the lowest yield of the neighborhood, which really isn’t anything new or surprising. 😂
Since I can't live out my dream of farming in real life yet. I do the next best thing and play Farming Simulator, just bought a Massey 133 Multi power tractor with red rims and wide rears. 38hp going to use to pull my mower in the ditches and around my fields. Maybe one day I can do the real thing.
Never used a moisture meter. Just pop some in your mouth and crunch it a little then spit it out. If you cut enough grain you know. If it has a good crunch then it's go time. Rather take a little discount at the mill and get it out than risk more rain and loose it. You did the right thing. I used to run 7700 and 8820 combines. That 88 with a 28 foot head was a wheat eating machine...
Ok, so without fast forwarding through the video, I'm going to say 90 BU an acre. Let's find out if I'm right. Lol. Happy Friday by the way my friend. It's been a long ass week. Lol.
Just wondering do you sell the straw maybe you can find a farmer to sell that straw to if I was anywhere near there I'll be at your front door asking insult to me where I am there's not much wheat around
You mean green bastard at the tail end? That was just for giggles. I don’t have a bad thing to say about my 4420. My 6600 on the other hand….. I’ll call that one names all day long lol

Indeed! I thought that would make for a great evening shot!
Yeah money is money and every little bit helps
Combine is performing right in the comfort zone,,,keep rolling
Great video, fun to watch how you feed the country...so grateful for you farmers!
Great video!! from a very wet North Yorkshire.
Gotta keep em separated,,lol. Great song.
Id like to see an in-cab ride along video showing the controls and how you set up your 4420.
Soybean season is approaching.. I will do a video in cab for that
That’s one amazing machine!
Watching again as spring planting is just arounf the corner.
Also to get away from the insanity of today.
Thanks JT!!
Cheers.
Man, I hear that! 😉. Bring on spring and some normalcy lol
Thanks for posting JT

You are one funny guy awesome! good job on the out come and you were not far off.
Like it..I was running Dad's 4400 at 9 years old shelling corn.
I am over the age of 17. I would love to work for you. I prefer the life of distributors and old machines. I love your content
Thanks for taking us along- great to see the 4420 is working well for you
So far so good! I sure am enjoying the
A/C this year!
JD 4420 did fine it looked like. You know what they say, (whomever they is,) She might not be the prettiest girl at the party, but boy, she can dance........
I think she’s still a pretty girl 😆😆

In UK, we go by tonnes to the acre or hectare, (2.5 acres to a 1 hectare)
The end was awesome.😂
We have that same model 4420. Great machine
Nice 👍
Great video, good neighbors 😂
Have never grown wheat looks good to me
60 bushel wheat is great, I've seen a lot less out west. Ol Gus is Standing Tall , I'm envious. 😊
Thanks 😊

Oh no!
Remind me the good old days when I cut wheat with my 4400 Gas here in NC with no ac hot as hell
That must have been some hot days! I’ve done it with my 6600 but I don’t think I could go back lol
Every wheat is a win dude
Nice looking 4420
Thanks!
Loving that combine, need more vids on it 👍🥰
Get the grain hauler out crack beer and go combining. I love it! Bet you never went on a job interview after having three drinks.
😆
Next time use the straw to make small square bales. we sale them for around 6$ a bale
👍🏼

Thanks! It’s been a great machine for me. Definite upgrade from the 6600
Just curious,,,how many acres do you have under tillage??
I recognize that scale ticket! My wheat came out exactly the same as yours. But, I had the lowest yield of the neighborhood, which really isn’t anything new or surprising. 😂
The neighbors always watch for me to start mowing!😂
That was quick
Old Deere is eating lol
Is more cost effective to use old equipment that you maintain yourself, or lease new equipment?

@@jtsbarnngrill6873 i will give you the virtual equipment tour. Lol.
Hey JT, 60 is more than 59 ! 😎
You think the other field will do the same or better ! Enjoyed watching!
Actually I just finished the other field tonite… did 69 bu/ac! I didn’t expect that!
Awesome man
The little 4420 throws a rooster tail from the chopper! 55/acre.
She definitely spits the leftovers out 😆

I’ll bet it was! That’s nearly twice the cylinder as my 4420! Had some crunchy and some doughy kernels, figured the moisture tester was best 😉
Nothing like a twin stick.
I'm thinking about 78 but per acre
Ok, so without fast forwarding through the video, I'm going to say 90 BU an acre. Let's find out if I'm right. Lol. Happy Friday by the way my friend. It's been a long ass week. Lol.
Right on! It has been a long week here too 😉
I,m pretty sure it will run 65 bushels per ,Oh by the way how’s The Massy 1150 coming ya all got Luke on that one
It’s coming along nicely!
I’m guessing 58 bushel
175 bushels at $8.12 a bushel. Making the big bucks!
I initially thought from your accent that you were in Ireland but I changed my mind in
favour of north America. Where are you?
I’m in Michigan
Did you have to put any fertilizer or herbicide on it
Yea and yes
I would have said 15, but 9", should have been higher than what you said per acre. I think 60.
+1 for the wobble pop
It was after 5 when I started 😉😆
It's been too many years since i have been involved with wheat for me to even guess.
It’s tough to guess looking too, but I was close lol
I would have thought wheat sprouting would be a concern if the wheat was swathed
I would think that too
Im guessing 55 bushels/Acre
👍
I’m going 60.3, I might have saw the ticket!😂😂
Just wondering do you sell the straw maybe you can find a farmer to sell that straw to if I was anywhere near there I'll be at your front door asking insult to me where I am there's not much wheat around
I’d sell the straw, but no one around me wants to bale 🤷🏻.
I may invest in a baler at some point and keep some to sell
60!!!!! WTG!!!
I calculated 10.4 metric tons per metric hectare. that's not bad even in europe.
58 bushel
57 BU./AC.
61 per??? Ha I was close 60.344! Not bad!
Can’t get much closer than that!
Looks like 55 bushels per acre.
Cool! 52 per acre
I think it’s going to do around 49 bushel per acre, you should start a CROP insurance blog😢
I should! All that a guy needs to know 😉
67 bushel
58 bushel to the acre
i was gonna low ball at 44 ;) Is that combine cab the quietest of your fleet or was there a sound issue?
I turned down the volume in the cab. It’s not especially quiet lol
I am 48 and seriously debating quitting my current job and buying a farm now ....
Ha! Maybe think twice on that one 😆😉
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 but but but 😅😅
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 I Love that you pinned this lolol
45 bu
Grab a Coors and let er rip
Wild guess at 57/acre
Looks like 60 bushels per acre
55 bushels
Wheat around us been running 95+
I’d like some of that 😉
40 bushels per acer
I would say 60 range
Nice clean straw too bad nobody wants it Bill up
57 an acre
I was thinking 50 per acre. But I’m not a good judge.
I'd say mid fifty range. Hope I'm wrong and you make 65 or 70
37 bu.
i cant believe u monkey'd yur butt to the top of the shed with a camera to give us a birds eye view of the dump, thats dedication
I give it my best 😉
I guessed right at 60bpa
40 bushels
64 bushel acre
65 BU / acre
63.5
1 million bushels
I like the way you think 😆
28 bushels per acre
65/ acre
3 metric tons an acre
You call it names but it keeps chugging along
You mean green bastard at the tail end? That was just for giggles. I don’t have a bad thing to say about my 4420. My 6600 on the other hand….. I’ll call that one names all day long lol
72 bu/ acre
