This would have been LEGENDARY if you Live streamed this with 2 Camera views the one in Tent and the Night vision outside so we could watch the surroundings. That would be So fun and Spooky.

I worked a night shift security job in college, and during the winter we were in this little shed with big windows on all sides. It was a very cold and snowy winter, so even with two space heaters on full blast, the shed was always freezing. Most nights I'd set up my xbox and tv and just play Skyrim in between my rounds.
To this day, it is the most enjoyble and immursive gaming experiences of my life.
This video makes me want to do something like that again.

I did this in 1999 with the first Silent Hill game with a gas generator, my PS1 , and a 13" CRT. I ran a long extension cord from the generator to get the TV far enough away I could hear the game, but it was still loud enough in the distance to be unnerving. I did it to make the game scarier, and it was! Never looked over my shoulder more in my life!
@trapperkreeper6105, like that game wasn't insane enough, lol. I remember when I played Resident Evil the first time & did it in the dark sitting close to the TV with my dog napping next to me. I let out a scream when that Hunter appeared around the corner of the hall with that "scream" and my poor dog jumped, his heart racing. I had to comfort him a few mins. Poor thing.

My first time playing RE2 and Metal Gear Solid as a kid was in a tent in my friend's wooded back yard on a dark night. We ran extension cords from the house and carried out the 90lb CRT TV along with a PlayStation and a stack of games.
It's still one of the top 10 experience I've ever had.

I went solo bike-packing in a state park, set up camp, and after it got dark I watched horror movies on my iPad for a few hours. This is next-level. Alien Isolation and Resident Evil Biohazard gave me such (enjoyable) anxiety in my office...in the woods, holy shit.

This is awesome, I've always loved being a tech nerd who also likes things such as camping, shooting, fishing....there's no reason anybody has to be boxed in to what type of nerd they are.
This looks really fun, I'll have to try it sometime. I definitely get so engrossed into games I would for sure freak myself out playing a horror game outside at night, but that's part of the fun.

it is kinda like that especially when you're camping out with the boy scouts, in your hammock hearing noises.
The deer was so comforting. I'd probably be terrifying hearing it make noise and see its eyes staring at you, but knowing there's creatures out there who are just curious about you is comforting. Like sure I'm in the middle of the woods at night, but there's nice critters coexisting around me.

Actually deer are scary at night in the dark. I’ve lived in the sticks my whole life and hearing a deer snort when you least expecting it makes me jump every time.

When I was 10 (18 years ago) I carried my TV and PS2 out into the backyard and played Ratchet n Clank and Star Wars so I could enjoy the nice weather and fun games.

i found "towne club" soda so funny due to "country club" soda being a very well known Dominican beverage, crazy how two places that have probably never heard of each other can be so similar
did this with an N64 and PS1 over 20yrs ago with my buddies. we ran like 500ft of extension cable out into my buddies forested back yard in the sticks of MN. We had a 13" CRT TV, and a 4 person tent. We played the OG RE, and MGS. We also played Mario 64, and FF7.
Suspicious that TH-cam recommends this video to me after coming back from a 2 night camping LAN party with my 3 friends xD. We played Baldurs Gate 3 together on our laptops and used starlink for internet. Being able to play games in the middle of a forest is honestly such a surreal feeling.

Every summer for years now I make it a point to play Metal Gear Solid 3 around a campfire. This past summer I played it outside until the sun came up next morning. It was surreal between the games nature sounds and the real life sounds all around me. Birds were chirping all around me and in the game. It was like a natural surround sound.
i used to work late hours at a spot that was basically just a garage with a small office in it. definitely had a lot of unsettling gaming experiences there playing at midnight, nobody around with just the sounds of the wind moving around the doors and the crickets.
This brought a smile to my face honestly, especially the couscous part😂😂😂, nice video btw.

Not sure anyone noticed but the fact that the timing of him getting to the big fish when the sun was setting while it actually became sunset in his time is crazy and even better that he playing the rest of the game at night while in game it's night time.

This might offend some people. But as a hunter, to be just sitting there playing video games, and then out of nowhere, have an extremely clear shot at a buck, is mesmerizing. It's insane. I've never thought about playing video games, and then simultaneously getting an opportunity to feed my family for 6 months. Usually, it's a lot of doing nothing and just waiting until you see a deer. You were just playing RE 4 and they literally came to you.

@@shirsendumaiti5682 Definitely going to rethink my method of hunting. I'll get a setup just like this and play video games until I see an opportunity. Instead of tracking a group and waiting in my post doing nothing until I can get a shot. Also, deer are pretty smart. A lot of hunters out there, and so they kind of know what to avoid, but I think this setup was so different to them, they became curious and didn't really think it was a danger. I this case it wasn't a danger, but I legitimately am going to try this. Deer season is right around the corner. I will post an update here.

From a former Boy Scout. When setting up a spot to build your tent, always ensure there are no large rocks or pitted areas under your tent-floor, as you learned. Ideally, you want a flat and possibly soft ground. Bring an entrenching tool or collapsible hand spade to remove any rocks from flat land to make it less rough to lay on. You could even scoop up soft dirt from other places to fill any voids left by large rocks after you remove them.
Also, your clear tent is NOT ideal for summer conditions. Great for cool weather camping because it will absorb sunlight better during the day to keep you warm. You could bring a tarp to hang over your tent to prevent the sun from cooking you and your steam deck from the inside!
