Thanks for this! I just started working in Autodesk Takeoff (trial version) and like it so far. I am primarily working in 2D at this point. I have a few questions I have not been able to find answers to anywhere. If you are willing to share your thoughts, I would really appreciate it. My questions are... Is there a way to change the line weight when using linear measurement tool? The line weight is a bit too thick and can create some confusion when running both sides of a wall. Also, is there a text/annotation tool? I'm hoping maybe the trial version I am using is just limited. Regardless, the ability to annotate would be extremely helpful. Thank you for any info you can share with me! And thanks again for the overview!
Why would you risk counting things manually instead of simply using quantity take off schedules? I think even revu bluebeam has a better and more automatized system
Hello Daniella, Takeoff is designed to aggregate & track in real time quantity values be it by count, linear lengths or areas, automated from a 3D model or as you’ve pointed out, the slightly more manual approach using 2D sheets. You’re correct in saying that this can be done using quantity schedules directly in Revit, but this relies on a 3D model existing. Takeoff gives far more functionality to use 2D outputs in your project team where a 3D model isn’t available. Having accumulative workflows in Takeoff allows a user to track changes between different versions of data sets as well by using the inventory, when receiving updated project drawings & models, which then inform directly the quantification reports. I hope that answers your query, thanks for watching our video!

Does this support separate X and Y scale? Useful for cross section volume calculations or drainage profiles.
Does it work for mech, plumb and elect takeoffs?
can this apps applied in mac?
how to meaaure flooe area if given a 3d drawing
Thank you!
