Israel is just the Hebrew name of that land. Just like India has 2 other names, Bharat & Hindustan. Even before 1948 it was called Land of Israel along with Palestine. If you look at Palestinian currencies of that time then you will notice this

You missed that the uprising was due to the 1928 negotiations that started between Palestinians and the British being revoked by the Zionist lobby in British parliament.
So basically the reason wasn’t religious it was political indifference by the British to even negotiate with the Palestinians and the Zionists not allowing them to
(note were talking about the British secular and christen zionists who’s’ main goal was an antisemitic rejection of Jewish people in their country biggest of which was bloody Balfour)
Please note the religious tensions didn’t play as big of a role as you make it seem based both on Arabic and Jewish historians such as Ilan pappe

      1. Three quarters of Palestine (75%) was given to the arabs, they named it JORDAN.
      2. The only Palestinians were the Jews, the muslims refused to be called Palestinians, they referred to themselves as either arabs or Syrians.
      3. Of the remaining land of Palestine, about 70% was offered to the NIMAs (non-Israeli muslim arabs) under the 1939 Peel Commission Plan. The muslims said no and rioted, again killing Jews. World War II broke out and the Peel Commission Plan was dropped.
      4. In 1947, the United Nations offered about 30% of the land to the NIMAs, 15% to create the international city of Jerusalem, and the rest to the Jews. The largest portion of the land for the Jews was the barren Negev desert. The NIMAs and the surrounding muslim nations swore to attack the new State of Israel and annihilate the Jews.
      5. In the War of Independence, the Jews and Israel survived. Jordan took Jerusalem and several west bank areas and annexed that land to Jordan. Egypt took Gaza and annexed Gaza. The NIMAs were not given anything by the Jordanians and Egyptians.
      6. In 1967, the surrounding muslim nations again planned to attack Israel and annihilate all the Jews. The Jews kicked the living daylights out of the muslim armies and humiliated them.
      7. In 1973, the woeful muslim nations tried again and were again humiliated by Israel's male & female military.
      8. All the land west of the Jordan River belongs to Israel, forever!

The "lord of the manor" could mistreat any one he chose, young female servents as young as 8 or 9yrs could be taken from their home by them and used physically and sexually. Without consent of their parents, they transported 1, 000s to Australia for crimes like stealing food, clothing wood, etc because Britains jails were overflowing, just read "Charles Dickens" accounts.

In 1922, Jews represented 11.14% of the Palestinian population, while Muslims accounted for 78.34%. In 1931, 16.9% of Palestinians were Jews while 73.52% were Muslims (Factsheet: Demographics of Historic

Much more important is the Zionist lobbying the Nazis and Western governments to help them colonize Palestine and make sure that Jews cannot migrate to other countries. What matters is that Zionists wanted to take over Palestine from day 1 and were helped by the British and the Americans in their quest to take over Palestine. The Zionist nightmare is soon coming to an end.

From this video appears Zionism way back 1929 triggered the uprisings and u rest. Britain didn't help situation by treating a Jewish prisoner leneitly but hanging three Palistians, both parties involved in the incident that resulted. Also Russian Jews expelled from Russia about this time was seen by the Palistians as an insult when they took over vast agricultural Palistine lands. So in 1929 the Palestinians first attacked the Jews about a rumoured division of Al Aqsa ? And from there on the violence spread to other parts of the country.?As a Muslim I need few clarifications here :
So the Palestinians first started the riots ? If yes what's the reason that motivated them to start rioting (a.k.a) the initiator of aggression ? Was there any particular reason (like being prosecuted by the newly arrived Brits and Euro-Jews)? Any Knowledgeable person, please enlighten me on this . I think there is a mistake in your preamble where you set this conflict in the context of aspirations for a Palestinian state. There was as far as I know from research no view of a Palestinian state until much later in the sixties and thus 1929 had nothing to do with statehood aspirations. A key figure Amin Al Husseni was the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and basically the leader of anti Jewish sentiment. He was schooled in Egyptian Salafist theology and inherently anti-Jew and promoted a pan Arabic nationalism and a broad Caliphate across all of Levant rather than a Palestinian state. I do not think in 1929 any notion of Palestine as a nation was born. You also assert that Arab nations in the 1949 war sought to prevent genocide by Zionists. Maybe but it seems more that these nations were motivated by pan Arab nationalism. The Grand Mufti too in to the thirties and early forties had great influence with other Arab leaders. He was instrumental in the getting alignment of Arab countries with Hitler in WWII and influenced tens of thousands of Arabs to go fight vwith the SS. He admired Mussolini and went to Munich to meet with Hitler representing Arabs. Arab nations and the Grand Mufti were convinced Germany would win WWII and were counting on Hitler to solve their Zionist problem with an extention of the European genocide and facilitate a path to pan Arab nationalism. The concept of a Palestinian state only emerged much later and was not in the cards in 1929 or even through to 1949. Anti jew sentiment was a key driver as taught in Salafist and other religious traditions. I cannot see that ever getting resolved. Yes people lost their land and dignity - happened a lot in history. Likewise Jews lost a lot in history. Palestinian people will not be able to recover and move forward until they come to grips with the Jew hating baked in to the religious traditions. How is that going to come about?

I think that you are not providing correct data in many aspects and that you are fabricating things and taking things out of context
1- You are totally wrong about the existence of a Palestinian state as Golda Meir, the former prime minister of Israel carried a Palestinian passport which refutes your propaganda that there was no Palestine (you can check her interview if you want). I actually find it very impudent to go to a place and that place host me then I turn against it)
2- The Ottoman Empire actually welcomed the Jews escaping from eastern European countries as well as before forced
(Belford himself called Jewish people are alien and hostile race) (Actually, modern Antisemitism is actually imported from Christian Europe) ( I am skeptical if you even understand what is meant by semite)
3- The percentage of Jewish people in Palestine was less than 10% before 1917 and later they became a settler colonial system, what do you expect out of that from people living in a place and then finding later that people taking over their lands (You can read the agonizing book called The ethnic cleansing of Palestine by the Jewish Israeli Historian professor Ilan Pappe if you want)
4- You are confusing zionism with antisemitism (I repeat that you might not understand who are the Semites), Zionism is a settler colonial ideology.
5- Many Jews actually were forced to leave their countries and go to Palestine. The zionist ideology wanted the Jews to leave their native countries and go to Palestine. For example, the Mossad agents planted bombs in Jewish worship places (Synagogues) to make them even more unsafe and force Jews to leave their countries, you can check the Baghdad 1950-51 bombing if you want
6- By the way, the Vatican was supportive of the killing of hundreds of thousands of orthodox Serbian Christians by the catholic Croatian Christians just because they were following different branches of Christianity not because someone was taking over their lands as in the case of Palestine (does that make the Vatican a terrorist state in your eyes?) I asked this question in response to your saying that Muslims and Arabs want to get rid of the Jews?
7- Regarding your talks about Muslims and their mistreatment of the Jews. Early Muslims who directly succeeded the Prophet Muhammad, Umar Ibn-ElKhattab about entering Jerusalem, gave the Jewish people lands and allowed them to build their places of worship. (During the Byzantine times, Jewish people were mistreated by the Christian rulers, even the Christian patriarch of that time opposed this suggestion from The Muslim Caliphate)

There is no such thing as a Palestinian only Arabs living in the ancient homeland of the Jewish people. The so called atrocities against the Arabs is a lie intended to create sympathy for the Muslims who repeatedly attacked Jewish people. The so called expulsion of Arabs did not occur either - the Arabs were urged to leave by their leaders so when the neighbouring Arab states waged war on the Jews and murdered them all, they would be able to return. If you start a war with the intent of genocide you cannot be surprised when you are not allowed to return. Where are the hundreds of thousands of Jews forced to leave the Middle East after the 1948 war. Why are they not called refugees? It's because they had no choice but to start a new life in Israel - something the Arabs conveniently forget is that they helped to create the situation they now whinge about.

Palestine was a thriving country with shipping & railroad transport, for trade to North Africa, Asia, Europe & Britain, before the end of WWI. The 400 year old Ottoman Empire was defeated by the British & French during WWI, with the help of the Palestinian Arabs. The British were concerned that they were losing the war so promised the Arabs self-determination in their own land of Palestine, if they assisted the Brits in the war. However, they also promised the Jews, via Lord Rothchild, a Jewish land of their own, for no other reason than to have allies in the Middle East both to secure freedom of shipping via the Suez Canal & to de-stable the Arab countries.
The land was 10% Jews & 90% Arabs, who had worked & socialised together until the end of WWI & the introduction of the Balfour Declaration in 1928. Although it was Arab land, the British split it up giving 40% Arabs & 60% Jews. The Arabs were given the poorest land, whilst the Jews were given the arable land.
The declaration was that Jews could live there & have their own land, but all current peoples living there, weren't to be moved, and basically, their rights were to be respected.
That's when the European Jews began arriving in droves after being forced out of the Russia as it was at that time. This is when the Jews began forcing the Arabs out of their homes & off their land. They knocked the houses down & uprooted all their trees so there was nothing left for them to return to.
That's when the Arabs began to stand up for their homeland in 1929. The Jews then continued to immigrate to Palestine, but instead of being satisfied with already far more than was a fair division of the land, with the huge continual influx of Jews before, during & after WW2, they then took over the Palestinian land, forcing the Arabs out of their homes. The British had thrown up their hands when their mandate ended, then the USA recognised the State of Israel, leaving the Palestinians out in the cold, and taken over my the Israelis. You are wrong on several accounts.
There was no such thing as "Palestinians" at the time, simply Arabs who lived there and hundreds of thousands of Arabs who arrived to work for the British Mandate.
Jews and Arabs did not live peacefully in the region. Arabs were looting and burning Jewish villages way before the creation of the Partition Plan, while the Jews tried to defend themselves and keep a quality of life.
When the Jews began to arrive, they built their own settlements and sought to make peace. In return, the Arabs pillaged, burned and raped wherever they wanted, as the Jews did their best to defend against the invaders.
In 1929, there began to be real Jewish casualties. Petah Tikva was attacked by masses of Arabs. Jaffa Jews were beaten bloody and raped by the Arabs they thought were their friends.
Thousands of Arabs arrived in Hebron on the Jewish Sabbath, yelling for Jewish blood. The Jews who had lived there for generations locked themselves in their homes, but this did not stop the Arab mob. They advanced house by house, shooting, raping, mutilating and looting, as the Jews screamed for help.
67 Jews were brutally murdered that day as the British policemen stood by and did nothing.
This and many events just like it happened before the Partition Plan, decades before the State of Israel and the so called occupation. The Arabs wanted Jewish blood. A century later on October 7th 2023 they still want Jewish blood.
That is the extent of the conflict.
Check your facts. The Jews were willing to compromise and give land. The Arabs would not compromise and instead used violence, over and over again.

I think that they need to turf out the rabid Zionists & agree to a 1 State solution because the 'settlers' have inundated the Palestinian lands to such a degree that it would only cause far greater upheaval, animosity & bloodshed to remove them out of the lands to the 1948 division, which if it were to be a 2 State solution, would have to return to the 1948 division. I really believe that it could work, IF everyone agreed to TRY to RESPECT each other's similarities, as well as their differences.
*** However, hearing Jewish children singing about wiping out all the Palestinians isn't a good way to start a peaceful coexistence! That's how the Na*is brainwashed their youth! Hearing that told me that this has NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGION, OR GOD .... because that is nothing that I've ever read, or more importantly, understood the Bible to be teaching. But then again, I'm only an Australian who was raised in the Christian faith, but who now believes that there is One God
and He teaches LOVE of one's fellow man. Maybe the Torah teaches war, but I don't know any 'religion' that teaches vengeance. My only recollection of 'vengeance' in the Bible, is 'Vengeance is mine saith the Lord.' None of us are 'the Lord'.
Do the Israelis really want to use their previous oppressors as a role model for their children, especially if they want them to grow up with the security that properly socialised, humane people live with their neighbours?

They expelled the natives with unbelievable violence and cruelty and established apartheid and persecution to maintain racial supremacy of one group over the other. Every attempt by the natives to gain their rights was crushed with the help of the British and the Americans. End of story

BS. It was the Hebron Massacre against Jews made by Palestinians in 1929 starting the violence in Palestine. The Arabs also cooperated with Nazi during WWII - Grand Mufti of Palestine - the SS Arab Legion. Palestinians could have built their own country according to 1937 Peel Plan(Britain Peel Commission), 1947 UN 181 Resolution, 2000 Camp David Israeli-Palestinian Summit and 2008‘Land for peace' Program. But they rejected all international resolutions. In 1947 16 Arab nations waged 5 times of wars at Israel with populations of only 700k from 2rd day of Israel establishment. After war, they seized the property of Jews and deported them. They lost the war and nd since there, they start to play victims. They are trouble-makers everywhere even their Arab brothers dont want to shelter them

Sweetie you’re not accurate, Jews didn’t just come out of the blue.
Explain the complicated task the British Empire had to endure.
Let’s not forget that Palestina is not a race but was the name given by the Romans. The Ottoman Empire lasted 600 years and the Arabs living in that territory didn’t call themselves Palestinians. Judea comes from Judas.
We must be logical about the historical events that took place.
In one hand we have the Jews where they were organized and efficient in developing agriculture and on the other hand the Arabs didn’t produce much.
The British called the territory Palestine and the passport was under their laws.
Jews wanted to work the land and create a wonderful life and they did meanwhile like most Muslims countries are poor and oppressed by their leaders. Anyway, I understand the Palestinians feelings but the smartest thing do back in the days was to come together and prosper together but as a secular Nation.
BTY Jordan never really wanted the Palestinians that are basically the same people and create a prosperous Country.
Gaza was part of Egypt and I don’t think they thought they were occupied by them.
In Israel there are many many Arabs and they love it because there is democracy. If you are a gay Arab you won’t be killed.

Arabs colonized the land by the sword themselves in the 7th century. It changed hands multiple times until the Ottomans controlled it.
When the Ottomans were defeated, it changed hands to the British. It was never an independent nation of Palestine. This video conflates "Palestinian" with "Arab".
There were was a mix of Arabs and Jews in the region. The Arabs were/are upset that Britain allowed additional Jews to settle there.
Britain had already split the region of Palestine and given the Arabs the state now called Jordan. They, and later the UN, were going to split the remaining portion (now Israel) between the Arabs and Jews but the Arabs rejected the offer.
The surrounding Arab nations declared war on the new state of Israel and lost. The refugees are those Arabs who fought alongside the Arab nations or those who were perceived to have. They were seen as hostile towards Israel and weren't allowed to resettle within the borders.
They were pushed into the carve-outs that had been the UN's proposed Arab state in anticipation of them accepting the two state offer. They never have and continue to remain hostile towards Israel.
Anyone who lived within the borders could have just become citizens of Israel like the Israeli Arabs who make up ~20% of the Israeli population. Instead, they remain consumed with wiping the state of Israel off the map.
There are over 20 Arab countries across North Africa and the Middle East covering many times more territory than Israel, and they don't want the Jews to have one sliver of land. They keep trying to drag the world into backing them in taking back over this small area.

Pure Palestinian propaganda. The Temple Mount didnt just have "religious significance" to Jews like it had for Arabs, it is THE most significant place in the world for Jews since it's where the Jewish temple of Israel stood for a thousand years, which is why the conquering Arabs, 2,000 years later, built their mosque on top of it. The Arabs, who had the religious policy of humiliating Jews, kept them from entering their own temple area and didn't even want them to pray at the Western Wall overlooking the Temple Mount area. They forbade the Jews to have even a little temporary divider to separate men and women, as they traditionally do in synogogues. The Jews dared to pray at their own holiest site and dared to put up the temporary screen. This woman narrator merely states that it was "provocative" to the Muslims without explaining the context. What provoked the Muslims was that Jews dared to disobey them by praying at even the border of their own temple mount. That's when the Arabs massacred Jews. The spin on the true story is right out of the Palestinian Propaganda Machine.
