- In this video I track down the cause of the power windows on a 2016 f550 not working.

The famous BCM I've read about. Thx God that splice is accessible for the human hand to repair.
It could have been worse. While if the splice was not there it probably wouldn’t have been a problem, but I’m glad it wasn’t up under the dash or something.
Your information made diagnostics go much faster. Originally I tested for power at pin #3, at the master window switch and tested the same wire for resistance at both plugs and both tests passed. The false positives through me in the wrong direction. I decided to remove the P/S trim panels and inspect the harness you showed. Performed a wiggle test and quickly found it. The same splice you talked about was the source. Great video, moves right along, and easy to follow. Thank you.
Thank you sir, solved it for me. Was chasing wires for 8 hours before finding your video. Now just the unlock/lock button isn't working but I got my windows back. Appreciate it, worked on my 2013 F250 super duty.
I had a second splice right next to the window one that was bad for the door locks also. The passenger door lock switch would work but not the drivers side.

Living here in the south east Texas we don’t have those issues much at all, but you’d think the manufacturer could at least keep splices in a place less susceptible to the elements. You have good content thanks for sharing.

just did a BCM swap on a 2014 F450 because the marker light relay shorted out; and Ford being the geniuses that they are decided to make the relay integral to the BCM because it costs more to replace then just having a bosch relay smdh. anyway, replaced the BCM and fixed the janky wiring that caused the short and marker lights worked, but truck wouldn't start. erased reprogrammed the keys and now the truck starts but windows dont work at all. no power to the #28 ignition switch #32 power window fuse at all, just ground. same symptom i had with the marker light relay with the old BCM. any ideas?

So when this happened did you lose the lights in the switches as well? Mine just quit working this morning but I could got them to roll down with the key fob. Big mistake since i was 3 hours from home and had to drive the whole way with them down.
I just had the problem with the windows and door locks. Both were corroded splices in the same area.
Bro I had that same problem with the door lock if I remember its a yellow with green and the splice is where the kick panel is right hand side.
I’m having a problem with the driver side unlock. The lock works and the lock and unlock work on the passenger side. I still need to fix it but they wanted to wait so they could use the truck. I think it’s going to be another splice too.

I have another issue....apparently my guys like real thick sugary coffee, and from my investigation appear to only drink half and the other half winds up ....well, you know where🤙😎🤙

I drive a 2013 f250. I find it is full of quality issues like this. Little nagging crap that shouldn’t be there.

I know what you mean. We priced a new 550 with a dump body and it was 105k.
