The Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz, Does it Clean Up?

- Hello. A few weeks ago I did a super quick video on the Behringer SF300. They where on sale at the time for $15 and I wanted to get something online while they where still on sale. I've spent some time with the pedal now and I'm going a little deeper into what it can do. It is a gnarly, nasty pedal, but what happens when you roll the volume off? Sorry about this, but you'll have to watch the video to find out.
Ok, if you like the vid, like share and subscribe.
Thanks. - เพลง
This pedal has become an integral part of my TECHNO setup. It's perfect for adding low-end and grit to my 303-style bass synth (Behringer TD-3). It's a little too much for the drum machine though. Still haven't tried it on guitar or bass yet.
The consensus among doom metal and stoner rock guitarists is that tube screamer goes first to impart its characteristics on the fuzz rather than making it sound weak and anemic. There are technical reasons for that order involving the strengths and weaknesses of each. Also, it's typically only done with Muff-style fuzzes to frontload the Muff with a midrange-heavy signal so the resulting tone is less scooped.
I just bought this pedal before Thanksgiving for 14 dollars on sweetwater. It's silicon. Germanium would be a lot more expensive lol. Mode 2 sounds more like the pumpkin pi muff. Keep up the good work man.
Thank you.
Hi, Good demo! I have the SF300 but have not tried to pair it with an overdrive pedal. I have an old Boss OD-1 so should give it a go. I like the sound you got with the pair. Thanks!
I appreciate the feedback, thanks. I hope that works for you.
Do you know the secret mode of the super fuzz?
That it’s a boss fz5?
@@LearningCurveGuitar ? search super fuzz secret mode.
@@LearningCurveGuitar supposedly you can set the mode switch between Fuzz 1 and Fuzz 2 and get a third fuzz that kinda combines both of them.
I've tried it a few times and either I lack the finesse or it is not as noticeable of a tonal shift as people claim.
@@riffsnoleads huh, I will give that a shot. Could be b.s. but, I’ll give it a shot
Secret mode is real actually
