I recently used the quest 3 on the train for my 6h trip and it worked flawlessly, i also tried it on a moving car and i gotta say, even in that situation the windows stayed where they are and the experience was great, well done Meta!
I used my quest 3 in the car to watch a movie on the way to the beach a few months ago and it worked great! Glad to see they’re making even more improvements!

Since VR still seems viable... and I like the Quest 2... my Quest 3 with Batman upgrade comes October 17. Also, got new prescription lenses, replacement head strap and controller grips.
The head strap was a good move. Buying a new strap was the difference between being able to play and just retaining a headache every time I put the headset on. It helps a lot. Wish meta could just make a decent strap. It wouldn't cost much more than their current strap.

I just got rid of my old Rift along with its packaging it was delivered. Omg this was so exquisite. Hard cover, elastic string to carry (the box!), hard and heavy material making the first opening of the box like opening a treasure chest. And the Q3S is as good packaged as my last food delivery.
I like how games can work with the Quest, there's a 3D stereoscopy Tomb Rider mode that brings another way to enjoy the game. Also Watch Dogs Legion supports eye tracking but only for Tobii software, I hope someday it can work with my QPro's eye tracking

think the best thing apple could do to cut costs alot is to take afew steps back and do a headset like samsung did back in the day where you put your cellphone into the headset ,by doing that they can cut costs ALOT and ppl can use their existing hardware (their phones) and when in the headset it switches from IOS to VisionOS

That interaction with the home would be great in passtrough, but that would require the depth sensor to be on all the time. Imagine the battery life then xD
The Vision Pro needs all and I do mean all of apples other products able to interact with the headset as an input device (or just specifically the Apple Pencil and the iPhone) so app developers have more to work with
Smoother Windows in V71 seems like an excellent improvement, both for finally interacting correctly with the environment's physics and for the much smoother movement of the windows. I hope meta continues the great work of improving the Quest system. I hope that by v80 we can leave the windows wherever we want and stay there even when we leave the environment or use Quest 3 after a while.
I updated to version 71, and my unknown sources drop down tab disappeared. I have developer mode turned on. Any idea on how to get it back? Contractors also quit working. Some conflict with unreal engine 4 popped up every time I tried opening that app. Also would be nice to connect a quest headset to a steam deck, and play that way. Download version 71 at your own risk.
Been playing Tombraider for months about 6 months because there patreon was only £6 to get all their mods so I did it. The mixed reality option is pretty damn cool as well. You7 can have the whole map ifloating in your room in God mode and can control Lara from above. And spin the map for easy traversal etc.
Jeez Louise, no way meta is recommending Steam Link over their Link and Air Link apps, just saying that it can be used with Steam apps. Steam Link works very well with Steam apps. You can use the free addon Revive to play most Oculus store games, but sometimes the controller bindings are a little off. With complex sims like msfs2020 I still prefer to use my QPro/i913900k/rtx4090 with the official link cable connected to my z790mb usb3.2 gen2 type-c port at 650mbps encoding bitrate. For wireless PCVR I use my Q3/wifi6 for all other less complex games using Air Link at 200mbps dynamic bitrate. For wireless PVVR all wireless options work well (VD, SL. AL) so this is mainly just a personal preference thing imho. Like everything VR, use whatever works best for you. Thanks for your vids mate and best cheers from Australia.
I like the ability for screenshot resolution changing, however I think I'd still adjust it after taking a portrait though, The quest 3S box also looks pretty good. And can we all agree that Gemini is kind of useless. Like I think making an immersive Chatgpt would be 100x the better option

V71 is nothing but trouble for. No haptic they just be gone time to time on pcvr aswell. Also the fan when it goes on it so loud i thought white noise was blasting through the speakers. So skip that ptc v71. Its 2 weeks of nightmare for me.

You can kinda lay in bed with a battery headstrap you just have to put 2 pillows under your neck and hang the battery over the back. it isn't perfect and does kinda pull on the headstrap a little. But who wants to swap back to the thong strap just to sit in bed so I don'rt usually bother. myself.
