Very similar to the look and feel of the Silverstone Alta G1M. The G1M just have a lot of plastic parts though. The FE cards are better on the orientation as the fins are exhausting on the backplate
I think the G1M has a better layout and a number of 'nice to have' things, like the rubber grommet where all your I/O cables come out, or the integrated power cable extension that doesn't end in that odd female pigtail thing. Having a small fan on the top pulling vs. big fan on the bottom pushing... big fan wins? I dunno. I do really like this form factor, though. I've been looking into this case (Corsair 2000D Airflow) for some time now. Yup, noticed this as well. Found a post claiming the change to be linked to the GPU orientation - apparently most cards don't like top IO orientation because of heatpipe behavior. The new layout is supposedly better.
I found a mesh that actually doesn't impede airflow at all. "40 mesh". It's small enough to trap all the dust but with a large enough opening per square inch that it doesn't impede airflow. I make all my own dust filters now. So on my lian LI PC 011 dynamic I have the natural filter from the case and an added mesh. It doesn't affect thermals what's so ever. I think the MeshroomS is still the one for me since I already had a dual fan radiator and should be overall smaller and fit in a carryon etc.
I might prefer that the GPU and cou fans pull cold air in and reverse the case fans to pull the hot air out. It bares testing to see which runs cooler
I would love to have that pc. all the power and features of what i have now. Amazing product, thanks for the review
I am so envious. What a badass machine packed into that box.
Super dope SFF, nicely done Origin.
I had an issue with my Elite Capellix AIO in my case where my pump and fans weren't showing up in iCUE. The USB for the Commander Core kept connecting and disconnecting and was pretty annoying with the Windows dings. Turns out the SATA power cable for my Commander Core was ever so slightly loose - I have now jammed it in and everything works perfect! No more annoying USB disconnection/connect dings!
What a cool computer! It’s so functional and well organized in such a small form factor.
The fan layout is something I was thinking of doing with my old case for some time. I'd have to customize it big time, but the air flow I figured would be beneficial without too much noise. All them fans...mmmmm.
Corsair owned brands: Elgato, Origin, SCUF, Gamer Sensei
If I missed any add it I guess
If they hooked the cooler fans directly to the motherboard header(s), those individual headers are listed and controllable once you select the motherboard (click on the image of the motherboard) in icue. At least that's how they work with my motherboard.
Now I can refer back to this whenever I get around to building out a van :)
that top fan looks like a good spot to put your coffee/food to keep it warm
That's gotta be the best window I've ever seen.
save that wood box for a pc build!!
Nice & Clean Setup 👍
Jay hurt his elbow smashing it during his last werewolf transformation
Jay, how about making joint competition once more with Linus and other PC channels?
Main theme: build and configure PC that have lowest possible IDLE power draw, while achieving at least 60-90FPS in 1440p selection of games
And by idle I mean few programs open doing nothing in particular, maybe playing youtube
All sorts of undervolting, underclocking, custom fan curve and passive cooling allowed, measured at wall, so whole system power draw counts, including fancy LEDs
