This washer is a very well-designed product. It is definitely better than the metal plungers used in the old days. The plastic does not rust. It is a tough plastic that will last for years. The small cone on the top keeps you from getting sprayed with water. Also the grid on the bottom of the larger cone is perfect for pushing down on the clothes and still allowing the water to come up through the plunger. I live in an apartment building and it was costly to use the machines and I don't really like using a public laundry. Also this breathing mobile washer is far superior to any machine. It cleans the clothes much better than any machine. I like it so much that I bought an extra one to have just in case the first one ever wears out. I don't ever want to be without one.

It's been pretty amazing on long camping trips. I used to be happy with somewhat washed clothes, but it works great!

I found that the handle mine came with was sturdy, but came unscrewed constantly and the metal part rusted badly. Honestly, it stunk badly and had to be washed out or it would stink up my clothes. So, I took a plastic handle from a dollar store mop and put that into the blue part. Now it works great, stays in place, and i can stand up to do my laundry. PS, use dishsoap rather than laundry detergent, dishsoap washes out WAY easier.

Leave your clothes just soaking in soapy water for at least 2 - 3 hours, better yet 10 - 24 hours and you'd see that water gets really filthy! Even without washing, soaking alone is removing a lot of dirt out of your clothes! So, following washing and good rinsing make them much cleaner! I actually do my laundry this way at home every time even with the electrical top-loading spinner.

Thanks for this. The girls are well-spoken and charming.
I bought one of these after watching this for those times I need to wash a few garments and don't feel like making a trek to a laundromat. I use it a lot more often than I thought.
I have also found this very handy for dying clothes: I can agitate them for a while, then let it sit. Then plunge for a while, then let it sit. When I used a washing machine to dye clothes the cycle was too short. I wear a lot of dark colors, so dying makes clothes look new again -- use procion cold water dye as Rit is a "fugitive" dye which washes out.
I wash once, rinse at least twice, wring gently, then lay clothes in a
towel, roll it up and press out water (usually by pressing with a foot
or knee). I borrowed a folding wood clothes drying rack and recommend
wood over plastic, because wet clothes don't slide off the rails.
I am using a long handle that I also use with a paint roller. Wearing household rubber gloves (Playtex-type) improves grip when washing and wringing clothes.
I didn't have a 5-gallon bucket on hand, so I enlisted a deep storage container and it works great.

I use a mop handle -- same as a broom handle, but plastic and water-resistant. I find that wearing gloves that have GRIP -- I found knit gloves with rubber dots at the Dollar Store -- makes washing so much easier.

The short handle it comes with is so you can sit down and plunge if you want to. It's also more compact as it was designed to use in 3rd world countries where people don't have washing machines and are very short on storage space, so long handles are not handy for them. But it was also designed to use a long broom handle too if needed.
It was specifically designed to use in a five gallon bucket.

I replace the short handle on my Breathing Mobile Laundry Washer with the handle of the JML wonder broom and found that it didn't unscrew so quickly and it was easer on my back.

It IS plastic. So a longer handle and standing up, instead of sitting down, might put too much pressure in the plastic, thereby causing the item to wear out or break prematurely.

$62.00????? I'd say the manufacturer is way too greedy!! Otherwise it looked ok.
