Congratulations mate. Here's to the next 1000 👍👍
Thanks mate means a lot 😉🎯
I'm approaching 500 hours and I'm still basically at the same place I was when I started back in early 2020. 1-20 around the board has improved from around 30% to 50% but in 500 hours I was expecting so much more. To not even be able to hit big numbers consistently is incredibly frustrating. My 501 average hasn't changed from around 30. I've changed the throw many times trying to optimise, I've read books and research studies about optimal learning, collected all the advice from the pros and tried to apply it but I'm just not getting anywhere. I've experienced the same thing in another area where I managed to reach 2000 hours in but progress seemed so slow and I eventually burnt out and got sick of losing all the time.
I think I need in person playing experience to shift the environment, create anxiety and force something to happen. The stakes are too low at the moment.
This was a big development period for me playing person changes a lot and also another big thing is mindset. When your piling on the pressure with regards to your expectations it will create a negative loop and hinder your progress. The other key thing for me is practicing harder and then having rest days like 3-4 days on then two days off. The muscles make a huge difference when stabilising. Even now if I play golf or do something really physical and try to play, it’s like I can be accurate so worth bearing this in mind , keep at it mate and give yourself some credit 🙌👍
@@RR10000Hours Thanks for the response. It's been disheartening seeing little progress but I know it's possible for sure and I'm trying my best to adopt a growth mindset to help with that. Definitely there's some evidence out there that suggests performing with negative expectations will perpetuate negative performance.
A large problem for me is keeping straight and not dragging darts. Sometimes the arm just does things of it's own accord despite my best efforts. I'm averaging about 5.45 scores of less than 30 a leg and a huge 7.11 scores of 0 which tells me I'm not straight enough and my doubles are bad. Sometimes I'll hit the double in 3 and sometimes it'll take me up to 60 darts at the double alone. My first 9 is 40.5 but overall average 27.61 so my doubling game is really pulling me down. I can recognise the macro problems but actually improving... that's something much more illusive.
You certainly show progress is possible though and I'll not be giving up anytime soon.
Good to hear you are keeping going. I try to go back to working on my technique and making small adjustments when I need to improve. I have a long way to go but always have good spells and bad spells. All the best 💪
Congrats mate. This is great work.
And thank you because i won a set of darts i hope u will be great
Thankyou and well done you , be with you soon ! And I appreciate all the support 🙌👍😊
Great video. Good luck in next 9000
well done on your call up
Thanks mate 🙌💪 appreciate the support
Hi mate love these videos do you count just practice in your 10000 hours or is it practice and game play 👍
Thanks for that 😊 Both I count but only the hours I am focused on doing something if I’m just playing around and not trying etc I don’t count that. So deliberate play and practice 👍
Great video
Thankyou mate 🙌😉
